Oga, u don't need to disturb urself about the engine number of ur car, most registration people do on there papers don't put in engine number but make it blank cuzz it's considered that the engine might be changed in due time, but it's good u know the engine number or sha, my own take

Oga no one said Cars45 sells stolen cars, 95% of the cars they sale are mostly Grade F to Z and Z, not even Grade C, let me give u a small short review of my experience.
Got a car from them but saw the advert her also on nairaland, it ended up making me spend the same amount I got it, when I went to check the same car on Cars45 website, the review and scoreboard E. G steering OK, fuel pump OK, expansion OK, body OK, engine OK, gear OK, radio OK, A. C OK, and score was 95% each, when I saw it, the above was a NO each, they don't work even the A. C and radio, I had to replace all of the above even the chairs seats also,
I got friends and other colleagues who has experienced the same thing with cars45 and even worse experience, though there cars are cheap but with big issues to spend on, there rating on there cars for sale are all fake just for u to buy it.. Read my profile story and u will get more details from my experience sir.

If the former plate is not dropped, then you will still be driving the car with the seller's name and change of ownership document and that will always make the police to extort new drivers.

Once plate is changed, every details of the seller will be changed to yours including the new plate number...

With change of ownership document, your car particulars will be much and every policeman will know that you bought it from a user in Nigeria and you may not know the details of the car when with the seller and they can pop up questions you may not be able to answer and from there extortion but if you re register the car with your name, your car will have proper documents required and not extra that will open way for extortion...

I believe this is the best, but it cost more having a new number plate than just change of document to ur name using the transfer document
