Yep! this is out it starts. I personally know a family friend whose son was stabbed by his wife (in the stomach).
Ara awon area yen naa ni girl yen...u get my drift....He almost died. Then she took d kids away and left him.
His parents had to go stay with him for straight 3 months...his mom stayed with him for 6 months..infact, just as there
are angry guys, there are angry women.

I went to university in the US, and if it were to happen in my school, this girl would have been arrested immediately by
the campus police? Do they even have campus police in this high paying mushroom high schools called Private Universities in Nigeria?
Cos I heard this girl was only SUSPENDED...not even EXPELLED. What kind of stupid country is Nigeria where ppl only worship money and social status? If something like dis happens, even if it is Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian, she is going right to jail in America, and she would need a pretty darn good lawyer to get her out...if she gets out of the mess at all.

OMG. I hope she goes to jail because this is a crime...d girl could have died.
Luckily the victim is probably from a comfortable background also and the case cannot
just be swept under the ground (as it normally would supposing it was a poor victim but wealthier
aggressor). Goodness gracious is she on drugs?

Stop asking the US to help you with what ur govt should do...The US govt is responsible to the people that voted them into power, THE US CITIZENS. The Nigerian govt is accountable to you; NOT AMERICANS. Y don't u hold your leaders, who u have elected to govt, accountable. Not America, Ok? I am sick of Africans electing morons to govt, and then asking outsiders to help while the morons just sit there to fill their pockets with YOUR TAX Money, and then treat you like crap. Ever seen how rich african thieves treat poorer africans (the electorate)? Like sh!t. Leave America alone to tackle America's problems.
May be when we start prayin less, and working more...like the americans do....just then, and just may be then we would start acting like humans, instead of the monkeys drag that the rest of the world thinks we are.
Another Okija: But the NTSB is already on ground, so I wonder what other help the U.S wants to render...

What they should help us with is the regulation of our airspace management!! Tell Nigerians which airlines are only seconds away from disaster..
Politics / Re: Kaduna Govt House Engulfed In Fire by jadesola7: 1:22pm On Jun 05, 2012
They need to stop allowing students cook in hostels or universities anyway. In the US, I dunno about UK, most schools dont allow cooking in the hostels because of situations like this. There is a school cafeteria where u can get all u need.
In the UK, some schools have a cafeteria but also a common kitchen that is monitored all the time so that the fires are put out...I dont understand this country, Nigeria.

I dont think Overland should be included in that list. I personally know those who run that airline and
their planes are flown to Paris, Yes FRANCE for maintenance very often. The owner even flies the planes himself many times, and
I am not sure captain Boyo (Overland owner) would be taking a risk with his life atleast once a week (he flies his passengers
very often).
The company, purposely, doesnt fly that many routes...just few routes that it can manage efficiently. Besides, their planes
are some of the cleanest and less noisy ones of all the local airlines. Perhaps, I am biased, so correct me if I am wrong...but u must have flown overland regularly for me to find you credible.
buJu-234:
so lets name the local airline not to fly with:-

(1) Dana
(2) chanchangi
(3) Air Nigeria
(4) Associated
(5) Overland

which one again... plz tell me fast.

i jst booked aero to PH & Arik back to Lagos.

are they among? so that i can cancel them right now; its better to follow Chisco small buses and spend 8-12 hrs on d road plus paracetamol
than to fly with these local airlines that have little or no regard 4 human lives..
Travel / Re: What Is The Most Dangerous Airline In Nigeria? by jadesola7: 12:50pm On Jun 05, 2012
Yep, Overland shouldnt be in that list.
ochukoccna:

Do you have evidential proof of all the above?
I know Chanchangi and Air Nigeria have been in the news for the wrong reasons for long. With what happened on Sunday, seeing Dana there is a no brainer but what of the others?
A loved one who resides out of the country was around in the past 2 weeks.
I don't recall him saying any such about Overland which flew him from Ibadan to Abuja [and he complained a lot of stuff-clay roads, Lagos-Ibadan expressway etc.]

y'all where r d Economists in the building?

Has anybody been thinkin about Nigeria's clashes as a global economic problem? have
we been thinking about them in terms of commodity scarcity, global imbalances and increased urbanization?

Well, if Nigerians are wise enough to know that they shouldnt patronize them after this negligence on their part...there is no question that they would be out of business...it is simple economics...zero demand...makes no sense to produce/supply.
valacious: With all these damning evidences. Dana should go.

Religion / "What I Know For Sure.” What Do You Know For Sure? by jadesola7: 11:21am On May 31, 2012
What I know for sure is that every person on this planet, big or small, rich or poor, has an implicit reason for being here. And this isn’t about whether or not you believe in a higher or supernatural power, but about believing your being has purpose. Every person has at least one gift that helps mold society in some way, shape or form. It is whether or not we choose to use those gifts that determine our impact on the world.WHAT DO YOU KNOW FOR SURE?

Romance / Re: Is It Good To Date Your Age Mate? by jadesola7: 4:45pm On May 28, 2012
sayin it is wrong cos of respect is an archaic way of thinking imho...my bro is a year younger than his wife
and both are doing just fine...mind u, both are very happy and enormously successful...
Ppl should stop worryin themselves at these types of things...just make sure u have similar values,
enjoy each others company, and u r happy. Except age is extremely important to you, its no biggie
U'ld b surprised dat just as some men want women who totally look up to them...some men want very
strong personalities cos it gives them some kind of emotional security.
Not all men want lily eyed extremely young angels lookin up to them

Romance / Re: Do Nigerian Ladies Abroad Find It More Difficult To Find Husbands? by jadesola7: 9:55am On May 28, 2012
This is not necessarily correct. There are PLENTY of single girls in Nigeria right now
in their late twenties, just as there are a number abroad.
But given that there are more Nigerian men in nigeria than abroad, it is easier to marry in Nigeria
early enough...
And it is same for men abroad, that is why many of them come home to look for a wife.
In addition to being less of the opposite gender to pick from,
I think one of the key reasons is that there isnt that much pressure to marry when you are abroad
as it is back in Naija.
I am in my early 20's and i can assure you that since i came to naija...thoughts of marriage have crossed my mind
a hundred times more than it did when I was away...Lots of pressure here, mehn!
Let me also add that the divorce rate in naija is also growing exponentially...according to statistics (i am an Economist, by the way), divorce rate in naija tripled in 2011 compared to 2010. Go figure!

Ha, ha, ha. it really is an absolute pleasure to see Facebook and the clowns who invested in it on the slide. Facebook and Twitter magnify everything wrong with human nature- from neediness to narcisissim. Hopefully it represents the beginning of the decline of social networking

Health / Accutane - Where Can I Get It In Lagos by jadesola7: 12:38pm On May 21, 2012
I am having some severe cystic acne on my cheek and chin regions.
I was placed on 3months of Co-Cyprindiol in the UK (I stopped using after a month cos it cleared up my skin within a month; so I still have the remaining 2 months dosage left).
I kind of assumed that it was UK weather that caused my skin to flare up in acne until
I started breaking out again recently now that I am in Lagos.
I am doing my Youth Service, and I plan to continue my professional career
once I am done with NYSC in October. But I have been breaking out like its going out of style...I dont want to be going around to office meetings, or mingling with colleagues
with a spotty face. Its doing major damage to my self esteem.
I plan to use my remaining two months of Co-cyprindiol. But just as cushion; does anyone
know where I can get Accutane in Lagos? I heard it can get rid of acne for good.
