On your ETS page, there would be a Reschedule Appointment button after you register. You can reschedule, but it would cost you an additional $50. In Naira, B.Y Mafit charges 20k for a reschedule. But in my case, since it was their error, they bore the additional cost.

Thanks. They've helped me with it too with no additional cost. Your post was helpful.

Its their fault in my case too. I booked for 20th of November, they booked 3rd of November for me. Although, they've booked 7th of December for me now.

Told ya.

I had an issue tho. I was registered for 3rd Nov and not the 20th Nov date I picked. They said they're going to reschedule for me an early Dec Date; additional cost on them.

Hope prep is going well?

Please how did you do that please ?
Education / Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by jagaban17: 1:57pm On Oct 17, 2016
Please ,I've been using Kaplan 2016 for preparation. My exam is 3rd of November.

Hope its sufficient for preparation, or I should try other books.

If you're ready, go for those gregmattoefl guys, they're legit. Save some bucks.

Go to their office tho. Don't transfer or pay online.

Thanks for your advice . Appreciate.

Education / Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by jagaban17: 2:58pm On Sep 26, 2016
I want to register to GRE asap, working towards November test date . What's the best way to get registered ?

1. By Myself on GRE/ETS site.
2. Test center offering to get me reg for 50k + free study materials in Ikeja (looks attractive and cheaper).

What are the pros and cons of these options. Thanks.

Someone please answer me

jagaban17:
Good Morning Guys, I'm new here, I want to start my application Journey. I had 2.85/5 for my Bsc in Mechanical Engineering. When I Used The WES evaluation for my grades I got 2.83/4. But after checking through some of the thread I started doubting the result I got. I've seen some schools I can apply to with that result. But I don't know if I'm in-line.

Please can someone confirm if I'm in-line or probably got a wrong result.

Please someone should put me through. Thanks.

1.5m annually is by no stretch of imagination "mouth watering"

Trust Me, its not about the money AT ALL.

Just being relevant in your career. One will DEFINITELY get better ones.

Even if its 40k/50k/month. I will be so glad to stay relevant.

2 years after NYSC.. you deserve an applause. God has looked in your direction early.

@OP.. is this inclusive of allowances or is it just base salary? has tax been calculated from this? like @Nairasurplus put it.. SAVE SAVE SAVE

More importantly, keep your marriage plans on hold for now.
1: Take every opportunity to attend any conference, seminar or training
2: Improve yourself by getting free Online Course Training Alison, Coursera eDx etc
3: Learn on the job even if you do overtime-without-pay. it will pay eventually
4: Do not waste time booking every Friday for outings or Weekends for Weddings. Stay Low-Profile.. manage whatever resources you have now instead of becoming adventurous and raising your needs to meet your new income.

Wow.Nice 1. Thanks.

That is good. I those days in Intercontinental bank, I started with N1.8M. My monthly take home was N93k after all deductions- Tax, Pension, NHS, ....etc. As bachelor, I was saving N80k every month. Though we were being paid N5k monthly lunch allowance.
My advice,
Save, save, save and save.
Before you get dependants.

Regards

God bless thanks.

Congrats OP.

Regardless of the pay,I suggest you take the power option. I am a telecome engineer with 7years experience and I can authoritatively tell you that site maintanace engineer won't add any serious value to your resume @ d long run.

U will definately get bored and might not learn any new thing after having a basic knowledge on site maintanance . Bulk of d job might be done by ur "SBC or sub contractor" as d case may be.

But there are millions of things to learn on Power! I am nt a power guy but I have friends in that dept withing the telecom industry and I can tell you I feel jealous on how wide they can explore on power stuffs.

Besides, there are plenty of solutuons on power still not yet explored!

All the same, congratulations and may God see you tru.

God Bless you. Will think about it. I have 1 week to do that.

Exactly 2 years after NYSC ( Don't want to write stories to bore anyone ,but I'm sure if you've been unemployed ,you know the travails) .

Last week I started a job with 1.5M annual salary, I collected another offer of 1.3M annual salary also today. Now I have to choose and consider my options based on career prospects, location and other factors ,in fact I'm confused.

By Gods grace, this is just a little of my dreams and where i see myself....also to encourage someone out there, don't give up and don't let anybody pity you. Keep striving. We will all reach our peak.Amen. Its just the beginning.
