KingLennon: I know people like you, you belong to the myopic and sentimental group of people we have in this country. I can't ignore the fact that many of them have underlying mental problems, which I don't think you have (or maybe do). People like you love your oppresors. You are seeing the truth but you want to twist it. From 2014 when we started privatization to date, can you openly say there's an improvement? Your president comes in and invite more bodies to come in and ruin the sector even more and you are happy. You are letting the small 10k they paid you to cloud your reasoning. Wake up man and keep your corrections to yourself. Don't quote me again, enjoy the disaster u created... This is the good thing about u Obi followers, u are not difficult to find out, always hiding behind a thought that u want a prosperous country and then next comment u start with political talks. I keep reminding u that ur initial comment is fIawed. A country as rich as Nigèria shouldn't be using privatized electricity, hello, richer countries uses privatized electricity, UK, US which u all love to call "saner climes" run on privatized energy. U comparing Nigèria to Guinea or Gabon that "even small Gabon...", Commóñ sènsè should have told u it's easier to supply light to a smaller enclave with lesser demands. U are not making a point, just going emotional as usual. If u are so ûséIèss that u need to be paid 10k before u think, sorry, I am not like that. The GEJ u support started this whole privatization sh*t, didn't he? Did he do it right? |

DesChyko: Commendable. Students loan is a better alternative to subsidizing education to make slaves off graduates as the proposed 5-year practice seeks to do to Doctors (for a start).
However, guaranteeing the loan will be paid back is another hydra-head to be tackled. A graduate without a job will not find it easy repaying their loan. And we have a lot of graduates that are struggling to make ends meet in the country today. Let's look at countries that have this in effect like America and how they're coping with theirs.
Hopefully, we get it right. First step. More steps are coming. |

I told him quality life is relative. To some people, being a farmer with a large farmland where they have a small family with crops, life stocks and water is enough for them. KingLennon: You're talking like a mediocre. Am not also talking about corruption, it's a normal thing. Am talking about how a rich country like Nigeria cannot enjoy atleast 20 hours constant electricity despite the privatization Only a mediocre uses "am" instead of "I'm" That's not what u are talking about, u talking about how a rich country like Nigèria is privatizing electricity whereas richer countries like UK, US privatized electricity. U also made mention of how a small country like Gambia or Gabon is having more steady electricity compared to Nigeria. Smaller societies with less industries requires lesser resources to electrify a society. When u want to make comparisons, learn to make it well that's my point. |

See small country like Gambia, them never take light reach 12 hours since January start like dis US, UK all privatized their electricity, we are not richer than them. The only misgiving I have concerning the subsidy removal is that since we know how our Nigerian societies work, has the federal government put any policy in place to mitigate the effects of subsidy removal on average Nigerians?? So far it seems as if there's nothing at all, the goal is to remove the subsidy with no provision to directly create a way to ease the impacts on the common man. We shall see as things unfold sha. That's it, with the removal of subsidy, resources should be channelled to the necessary growth areas and we will be ok. Policies and movements should be made to drive down the prices of oil, that's what we are looking forward to. |

asanausana91: did Obi also tell you that he will not release palliative starting from day one? Obi is not my candidate but I believe obi will not allow us to surfer like this. Same thing to Atiku, he has very good plan to cushion the effect of subsidy which will implemented before removing subsidy. People are dieing with hunger just because tinubu want more money for his drug business. RENEWED SURFER! Atiku will not allow people to sûffér but he oversaw the sale ALSCON to some Russians for 10% the price spent on it's construction, do u know ALSCON was run to the ground and the community gaining from ALSCON suffered? What about the sale of NEPA? What about diverting water board pipes serving the people of Adamawa to serve his Faro water? Same person who can deprive people to serve his personal interest will cushion the effects of subsidy? Obi hiked tuition fees in Anambra by almost 100% if not more than. Last time I remember, students staged a large protest, Obi said "education is not for the póór". How comes he couldn't cushion the effects of hiking tuition fees? These two men allowed people to sûffér, somehow u want to make urself believe they wón't allow Nîgeriàns to suffer. Infact, the line "Subsidy is gone" was not in his original speech manuscript at all.
We are yet to witness the really effects of this sudden removal without a well-thought-out cushioning plan. If it has been possible for u Obi followers to dèñy that Obi wouldn't have removed subsidy, u would have done that. No "cushioning plan" will work in this Nigèria. U know that, we all know that, but since agreeing with the decision is tough for most of u, u all resórt to cushioning plans. Obi wouldn't have been able to provide any cushioning plan just like he didn't provide in Anambra when he hiked tuition fees of ANSU. I hope you attended the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, how did you manage to come back after the ill-timed announcement?
U Will set up systems in ur one day in office? I am sure u will prèteñd he didn't say that. Someone who said in a previous interview that he already knows our problems is saying in the next interview that he will know our problems. The àssIicking u guys were giving him didn't make u realize the incoherence in his speeches abi? happney65: Dear Penguin,
I didn't want to reply this post but my spirit keeps on pushing me back. I want you to bookmark this and come back to it in about a year or so may the universe grant us good life.
You see there is little or no difference in Tinubu and Buhari and you are already falling for the same set of propaganda they deployed in 2015.
Referring to Buhari's appointees as almost illeterates is unfortunate. Adamu Adamu might be a nonesense minister of Education, but he isn't an illeterates as he is a PHD Holder. So therefore Tinubu's appointees won't be different from that of Buhari.
I mean Buhari's appointees might be mostly of his ethnic block but they were Men and women of timber and calibre. They couldn't perform because their head which is the president do not seen to know what he is doing.
Claiming Tinubu has best hands is also a fallacy. Apart from Lagos, The other states in the SW his people were in charge are nonesense states. Osun state was the Poverty capital of the SW courtsey of Tinubu's right hand Man aregbesola.
Or is it Ekiti? That place is more or less a dead zone. Even Lagos under him became the second worst city to live in the world.
Let's not talk about Lagos itself because even if you put a 10year old as Govornor it can run with or without his input. It was made possible being former federal capital of Nigeria and not the magic of Tinubu
2. Claiming security will improve under Tinubu is a fallacy as there will be little or no difference in the current security architecture.
You referred to the security architecture established by Govornors of the SW which is Amotekun.
Let me bust your brain. It is only Lagos in the SW that doesn't have a single Amotekun force despite sanwo Olu attending their summits.
The creation of Amotekun has helped the SW a lot most especially Oyo state. Yet Tinubu's Lagos do not have one single Amotekun officer because of Tinubu's ambition and not wanting to offend the North.
You see he owes the North,He dare not do anything against them. He wants to be president just to answer the name. He won't do anything spectacular. We will only be taxed more.
No restructuring will happen under him. That I am sure about. Maybe some might happen if Akpabio becomes Senate president on Tuesday which I hope he does.
But if the North becomes Senate president, just forget the Tinubu presidency because they will have him by his scrotum.
The so-called subsidy removal is for government to have more money to embezzle and not for nothing else. It will only lead to more hardship for Nigerians and nothing more.
If I can remember the others you talked about I'll come edit this post
Thanks Lagos under Tinubu was the second wôrst city to live in but his boys made it good, u didn't praise him for his boys making it good but u cóñdemñ him for his boys not doing so well in other states. LOL. Ahhhh, Obi... |
