That is one of d reasons I hate Igbos and some Yoruba Christians.
A pastor commits crime, na only him be devil buh an Imam or a Muslim commits crime na Islam. And this is why there will never be religious peace till thy kingdom comes.

The Federal Government has commenced moves aimed at ensuring that mathematics and science subjects are taught using local languages in schools across the country.

To achieve this, it constituted an inter-ministerial committee on Tuesday, on the use of local languages to teach science subjects and mathematics in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria.
The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, while inaugurating the committee in Abuja, said the nations that had done well in the world used their indigenous languages in teaching their children mathematics and science subjects at primary and secondary school levels.

Citing the cases of some countries such as China and India, the minister said that technological advancement in those countries was fast because mathematics and science subjects were taught in their indigenous languages.

He said, “For us to build the country of our dreams, for us to make Nigeria a truly great nation, a nation that is able to feed and house its citizens, a nation with a stable currency, we must embrace science and technology. Nigeria will remain a dependent nation if the citizens do not embrace science and technology because no nation can become great without science and technology.”

Onu said his ministry was determined to work closely with the Federal Ministry of Education to achieve this target.

He said, “Nigeria has produced a Nobel Laureate in Literature, we have not yet produced one in science and we are anxious to produce a Nobel Laureate in science. The only way we can do it is to make sure our children are interested in pursuing careers in the areas of science, technology and engineering.

Onu said his ministry would work hard to ensure that local languages were developed to a level where they could be used effectively to teach mathematics and science.

He said, “We have to write textbooks in these languages which will be developed to enable us teach mathematics and science and also to train teachers who will now use the developed languages to teach the children in the primary and secondary school levels.”

In his address, the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, said the move was an important and key innovation.

Adamu, who was represented by the director overseeing the office of the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Hussein Adamu, said the use of local languages in teaching would go a long way in facilitating the breakthrough of the nation in the area of science and technology.

Iam amazed with the way Christians are abusing Islam on just one scandal. For evry 1 crime committed by a Muslim, more than 10 would av been committed by Christians esp poison ecially the pastors. Religious Battle Looms In Ibadan

Ibadan, capital of Oyo State, may be the next theatre of inter-religious violence. Already, certain leaders of the two major religions, Islam and Christianity, have started swapping threats. In mosques across the city, Muslims have been circulating tracts alleging that Christians have been demonising Islam and if this is not checked, said prominent Muslims, it could result in the burning of churches, killing and maiming of Christians, especially pastors and founders of churches.

Dr. Amoo Dauda of Oyo State Chapter of National Council of Muslim Youth Organisation, NACOMYO, said: "We are warning Christians. Enough of this rubbish. We don't want religious confrontation in the state. There can't be peace where there is no respect for others." He called on the government to stop the circulation of a film, Take Heed, produced and marketed by Christ Chosen Vessels Dance Drama Ministry, aka Alfa Sule in Ibadan.

Take Heed, he said, contains messages considered offensive to Muslim sensiblities because they misrepresent Islam.

MUSLIM FATHER ACCUSED OF KILLING DAUGHTER FOR CONVERTING TO CHRISTIANITY IN IBADAN

A father has been held by the police in Oyo State for allegedly killing his daughter, Miss Kausara Isiaka because she ditched Islam for Christianity.

The deceased’s father is accused of complicity in the attack of Calvary Church where she attended at Ayekale in Ibadan during a church service. It was gathered that late Kausara’s father was estranged from her following her conversion, and it is believed that he was behind the mystery attack of the church during which his daughter was killed.

Reverend Daniel Oladimeji of the church who was among those attacked alleged that the arrested suspect was the mastermind.

Shedding light on the case, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olabisi Ilobanafor, said that one Mary Oladimeji, of Calvary Church, Ayekale, Ibadan reported the incident at the station on February 26th 2014 around 2 am.

Though, the police are yet to determine the culpability or otherwise of the suspect, the suspect was alleged to have sneaked into the church premises and inflicted machete cuts on his victims namely: Mary, Kausara Isiaka, Aanu and the pastor of the church.

It was further gathered that the father of the deceased who is a Muslim, had pleaded with his daughter to review her decision. When the daughter refused, he had followed up the pleadings with threats.

The police stated that the girl had to take refuge in the church.

But, on that fateful day, the yet-to-be identified attacker broke in and inflicted machete injuries on the victims while they were sleeping.

Out of the four victims, the police confirmed that her injuries were more severe than others.

All the victims were rushed to Mobolaji Hospital, Oremeji, Ibadan where Kausara later died.

DSP Ilobanafor said: “the police visited the scene, took photographs and moved the remains of the deceased to Adeoyo State Hospital mortuary for autopsy. One suspect was arrested and the case will be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department”.
