tafrica: Pls help, my qsat is not displaying presently, It shows occasionally and goes off again, like yday it showed only in the mrg;
I have Qsat11, upon checking my pin through these steps; settings»Xcam»DQcam, I found no pin there, empty. Also, on my AvatarcamHD, I found 0000000000, are these normal? I am on gprs, selected country is egypt nd I have been using this selection ever since the time of purchase with airtel, glo nd etis, I presently use glo wt it.
If I have to change my pin, is it DQcam or avatarcam with ten 0's? Also, can the pin be changed again if I decide to do that in future?

Bros you don't have a problem, the Queen has been misbehaving since the start or EPL, so don't trouble yourself too much, as for the 0's you saw it is so for all Qsat with ACAMHD account, you have to press the Red or Green button on your remote before the actual code of your Qsat will come up, else that place is 00000000 by default.

As long as it can still connect even without the Nigeria settings, you don't have a problem, I think etisalat connects with any apn as long as the dial up number is *99#.

The CCCAM business is all about trust, if you are buying directly from the Chinese, how are you sure it would be legit, in case it is fake, who you won hold?

From my calculations that guys price is cheaper than Lemmy's own, even the bulk I bought from him is not as cheap as the one that guy is talking about, I feel he is not saying the truth!!!

I use a Qsat 23G with code number 45 and a CCCAM account, any inquires about such that is directed to me would be treated with utmost importance.

The fact that someone is a guru doesn't necessarily mean know everything. Can you imagine Blackberry question on a queen thread? What network is in the modem? And check if you have airtime on the sim, if you don't have air time it will always show network connection success but it would not show welcome to server and it won't open any channel. And like I said before, for mtn u don't need and special setting or configuration as long 3G is selected and you mark it to auto link, pls check very well.

GLO APN, dial up number, username and password, the glo apn is glowap, the dial number is *99#, the username is flat and the password is flat. You have to enter all this settings for glo gprs to work

Pls CCCAM is not preloaded on any decoder like ACAMHD, CCCAM is just like a gateway to greatness, if you buy the account you a just given a server name, password, port number and protocol which you type on your decoder which supports CCCAM

Kk, just got the mail.

To use a an MTN modem on the Queen, do the following:
1) Plug your modem with the mtn sim
2) If you were using gprs previously, go to setting, enter ethernet config, change link type to 3G network.
3) Now go to config and make sure that box in front of auto link is checked, that is a red mark is supposed to be on it.
4) Exit it and restart the Queen
5) Note that for mtn you don't need to worry yourself about any other setting but if you are using another network like airtel or glo some settings need to be configured.

That's right, mtn modem does not require special configuration to work, but for glo and airtel you have to set their apn before you can use them in a modem!

crudedude: mine was switching sims and noticing all countries changing. it rectified itself after series of sim switching.

if I remember correctly there's a button there that says 'add' when you're on the config menu. think the red one. try it and see where it goes..

PS: I'm not a guru just a normal guy who started reading from page 43 of this thread and googling things up.

What's the problem you are having?

jahstech: No noting gets damaged, but note that if you try it and you entered the wrong unlock code up to 10 times, you have reduced the possibility of unlocking the modem to just 2%.

When I was learning how to unlock I condemned one of my airtel modem, it is now locked on the airtel network never to be unlocked for life, so it is advised that whatever you try never attempt unlocking your modem up to 5 times

Wish the queen could remain this way, no single hitch after the first half of celtic's game, looks very stable.
