A driver, Yinka Adebanjo, has confessed to orchestrating the kidnap of his bosses at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State. Adebanjo, aka Esho, was a driver at Mateco Industry West Africa Limited, where the victims, Jamie Larcar and Mario Maglundo (Filipinos) worked.

Adebanjo connived with an herbalist, Ishau Awokoya, and one Seun Ogunjobi, to abduct the expatriates. Members of the 7-man gang, had pretended to be vigilantes guarding some Ikorodu communities against members of the dreaded Badoo cult.

They reportedly laid in ambush for the Filipinos, who were in a Jeep driven by Adebanjo. The compromised driver was ‘ordered’ to disembark from the vehicle as one of his accomplices took over the steering and drove away the victims.

“They took the victims to the herbalist’s house in Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, on July 5, 2017, and kept them for 9 days. The victims were released after collecting the sum of N4m as ransom.

Following their release, a team of the Anti-kidnapping unit of the state police command tracked down the driver to Ikotun, Lagos. He was said to have led the detectives to arrest the herbalist and Ogunjobi.

The suspects were paraded by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni. Charms and other ritual paraphernalia recovered from the suspects were also displayed.

Adebanjo confessed to providing information that led to the abduction of his bosses, adding that he got N400,000 from the N4m ransom.

In the Short Note the Father his wife who is also the mother of the Children left him and abandoned the the Children.

It took the timely intervention of the AGEGE local government Executive Chairman Hon. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi and other Council workers who rescued the innocent Children and they been taken to a nearby police Station for Custody and proper care.

The Chairman was emotional when he saw the children and wandered why parent would do this their own children. He has asked that proper care be given to them pending the time the Police will complete their Investigation and engage the parent.

dey do mayb its wike's regime,cos during amaechi's time dey wer paying,both d normal 19800 and 110k,i was paid ask any 2012 batch A,B,C,infact 4m 2011,and ppl who werent paid did a protest at govt huz,after a while dey wer paid,as per dat posting,hmm it wasnt easyoo esp. Dat riverine area esp bukuma mehn.... Dat place is sometin else,startn 4m d thick forest wif track road inbetween,dilapidatd schools,buildings wif bullet wounds,heavysand filled enviromnt,to sandflies usin ur body to catch fun etc,infact it was indeed a memorable xperience.

Currently serving in rivers state.... (batch b stream 2)... The most annoying part of this state is that they don't pay state allowance, we only depend on the 19800....when I was posted to rivers state, I was kinda happy, knowing that after Lagos and Abuja, we have rivers, cos I know rivers to be a wealthy state, but after I received my PPA letter (that's after the 3weeks orientation camp) and moved to my PPA, I just started blaming myself why I choose rivers state... because I was posted to a remote and deserted riverine area, where much activities do not occur, the only set of Corp members that will enjoy their service year are the one posted to places like portharcourt, obiakpor, bori e.t.c and some that are posted to private schools, I guess the private school do pay them, but if you are posted to a riverine area, my brother u are on ur own o, na there u go spend all ur alawee finish.... As a street boy, I just try to make my self happy, by making things happen.... Good luck to Corp members posted to rivers state....
