We are bringing in thousands of laptops begining from Wednesday November 7th 2012-we need agents and resellers nationwide and in Ghana. If you have an existing computer business-that would be great. If you don't but are interested and have some cash-thats equally ok. Having an office space-would be a great advantage-but not compulsory. Please email your name, location and phone number-and we will send you details. jakaiso@yahoo.com Thanks.

Religion / Re: I Saw A UFO Last Night!!! by jakaiso(m): 3:17pm On Oct 24, 2012 |
Okay this probably sounds over the top and I was never one to give much credence to UFO sightings, how much more ever imagine I would ever lay eyes on one physically especially in Nigeria since most recorded sightings have been in the western world but last night I observed UFO activity for about 2 hours. I was awakened around 0100 hours by an extremely loud noise and at first i thought it was the outdoor unit of my air conditioner so I powered it off but the noise wouldn't go away. It was real loud and rather disconcerting because it was a humming sound. My wife sprang up and was scared stiff, thinking judgement day had arrived because the sound was coming from above outside. quote] OP-Can you please contact me-some people in the USA would like to talk to you. |

Crime / Re: Robbers Invade Fuel Station On Lagos-ibadan Expressway, Kill Four People by jakaiso(m): 5:22pm On Oct 23, 2012 |
dnative: I'm trying to understand why the States (Lagos/Ogun for instance) can't have a joint squad of specially trained, highly motivated squad (SWAT styled). Assemble a team of like 200 of these guys and give them the best ammo, hi-tech comm and surveillance gizmos, training, excellent remuneration (paid holidays, life insurance, free healthcare etc) and have them ready to scramble to anywhere within a 50-km radius in Lagos/Ogun within 20 minutes. I'm sure there must be a budget somewhere to train and sustain such a team. Banks for instance would gladly contribute to fund this considering the amount they lose to armed robbery incidents yearly. Someone pls educate me why this won't work. I could remember the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) during the Abacha days and they significantly reduced armed robbery in Lagos then. Is this not doable again? these robbers don dey get too brave. Deevelopment and progress anywhere in the world depends primarily on leadership and the ability of that leader to build a team of dedicated people around him and then carry the populace along. What you are refering to is Operation Sweep when Buba Marwa was military administrator of Lagos under Abacha. Its not that, there were not armed robbers and military adminstrators before Marwa-there were-but Marwa brought a differenct style to goverment: it was simple-do the job you were sent to do. Maybe his stint as Nigerian Military attachee with the Nigerian Embassy in the USA-and the exposure to US life made him different. I remember going to night vigil in 1996-in Ojodu. We passed a group of the Operation Sweep at the corner of Sabo and Berger road in Sabo-it was about 10.30pm -On our way back in the morning around 5.30a.m. they were still there: resolute and on guard.I was impressed. During that time as well, without fail-an Operation sweep van would patrol our estate (Morgan Esate) EVERY NIGHT. CNN even did a special on them once focusing on the dramatic reduction in armed robbery and home invasion and the difference and professionalism with which these policemen and soldiers under Operation Sweep operated compared to the general reputation of the Nigerian police. Note: Rapid Response came after 1999 1 Like |

cap28: What opportunities does a white American has, that a black one does not in 2012. I am not even an American-I just come here and have lived here a few years-yet there is nothing a white american has access to that I dont-except vote and be voted for since I am not yet a citizen. Of course there is racism here-just like there is anywhere in the world and tribalism in Nigeria. Tell me one thing a white American can do that a black cant? I know that 4 years ago-you would have said a black man couldnt become president-but of course that has been proved wrong. I live in a predominatey white neighbourhood-95% white-and there is nothing they do and get, that I cant.Infact I a foreigner live better than many white Americans. This is not 1960 or 1920. 1 Like |

juman: I remember "nigeria is 25, we are all celebration and all congratulation people united will never fall. Sunshine and rain fall". You got the song wrong bro ... Its " Nigeria is 25, the odds we have survived-Come join the celebtation......." The other song or jingle started with Nigeria is 25, ring the bell....." I was barely 10 years old then-during the time of the great government of Buhari and Idiagbon when Diya was the no nonsense Governor of Ogun State-no one was allowed to throw parties and block roads and if you threw a party on the road -you had to pay a tax! |
