Politics › Re: No Fuel Scarcity This Christmas; GEJ Is Working, Haters Are Writing by jamace(m): 9:52am On Dec 24, 2013
I can recall vividly that during OBJ's time, he was both President and Minister of Petroleum resources yet there was fuel scarcity. But right now, fuel is EVERYWHERE. So, who will say that GEJ is not working? Only politicians will say so because they want to pull GEJ down.

Nigerians, BE WISE.
Politics › Re: I Stand By My Letter To Jonathan — OBJ by jamace(m): 9:27am On Dec 24, 2013
personal59: I think Jonathan's speech writer did a very bad Job by presenting rhetorics rather than facts to defend him from OBJ's accusation. Noteworthy was that the defence was presented like mid-term reports without delving into the real components contained in OBJ's letter. He only affirmed the precarious situations in Nigeria under his leadership but went further to assert that these problems predated his administration, a fact everybody in this country knows. The fact is also that he was elected to change the course of history by providing positive change in governance through breaking from the past system of government in which deprivation and impoverishment of the citizens became norms and rules while corruption, ethnicity and religious bigotry became emblems of the nation. Rather, his acceptance tactically is that 'we steal, you taught us to steal', 'we are corrupt, you taught us to be corrupt', 'there is insecurity, the foundation of that insecurity was from you'. All these slogans disappointedly came from a president with highest degree in the history of Nigeria, a president elected on popular mandate and acceptance, a president that promised total transformation and a break from the past! He has forgotten that he was elected to solve problems rather than bemoaning the challenges as excuse for non-performance. I am very sure, having been part of governance structure since 1999, he already knew the enormity of the challenges bedevilling this country before he vied for the highest position in the land. A leader that knows his worth and prepares to take responsibilities does not trade blames, he accepts his weakness and strength and use criticisms to improve his leadership skills in order to have positive impacts on his people
My friend, stop impressing yourself with beautiful grammar.

In case you don't know, Baba failed Nigerians during his reign. He not only continued in corruption but used the opportunity to intimidate governors and well to do Nigerians to achieve his personal interests. Baba used the fact that Nigerians were jubilating the exit of the military from governance to loot our commonwealth. First, Baba should tell Nigerians how he built the hilltop mansion he is living in right now. He should tell us how he got money to establish the Obasanjo Library. He should tell us why he forced Gov Mbadinuju of Anambra state to continue to bribe a political godfather. Baba should tell Nigerians who and who were jailed for corruption or relieved of their posts during his tenure. Baba should tell Nigerians who killed Bola Ige, Pa Rewane, Marshall Harry and others. Baba should tell Nigerians why the NNPC did not function despite being the minister of petroleum himself. Baba should explain to Nigerians why there was fuel scarcity despite the fact that he was minister of petroleum resources. Baba met some functioning industries, particularly the textile industries, but these industries folded up right under baba's nose because of poor leadership. How free was freedom of speech when Baba held sway? What happened to the Nigerian airways? What was his intention of seeking a third term in office? In fact, I can go on and on to state Babas failure in governance.

In summary, baba was a woeful leader who used the euphoria of the masses that the military have been chased out of power to gain relevance. He should be seen and not heard.

Two national elders behaving like kids.
Im just dissapointed in two of them, as if they're doing open letters competition.
You should know that it is against GEJ's principle to write open letters to an elder statesman. Blame baba who started the open letter thing.

egift: Over 60% of everything President Jonathan say are through Proxies, 30% through rumours, innuendo, body language, gossip, etc. Only 10% is spoken by the president himself (through his own lips).
You would have simply say, "Jonathan should sack all ministers, governors and aides, and do everything by himself because he is the President".

@ egift, I know you don't have any practical experience in leadership but I believe you must have read from textbooks the principles of leadership. Why not refer to your textbooks when in doubt?

Sure, he has to cleanse out of the system those who are insensitive to good social order. Those cleansed are crooks eating illegally from the states pot. I support Baba Osho in this. How I wish other governors will do same.

It takes one good quintessential daft man to recognize another. However, I must say your daftness is legendary. Meanwhile my third grader is laughing his tails off when he heard that few grown fools such as you in Nigeria can not intellectually struck a difference between a Prime Minister, Head of State and President. Don't mind OBJ. After destroying Nigeria, he is disturbing somebody who is trying to clean up the mess.

As far as I'm concerned, OBJ is a RINGSIDE champion.

Talk is very cheap with OBJ.

Orlando Owoh: I support OBJ on this. By the time Nigerians start seeing what he said, they would not only ask him to see if he could proffer solution to them but would also ask GEJ to resign.
How can you support somebody who, from prison, was given leadership on a platter of gold yet rubbished the opportunity. Need I tell you again that had baba provided the needed leadership during his time, it would have been easy for those coming behind him?. Instead, Baba pursued personal interests and messed up the whole country. Do you think it is easy to clean-up a mess of many decades overnight?.

When baba was in the arena, he forgot his jabs, left hooks and uppercuts; but as spectator, baba has become a coach of repute overnight. Tell baba to keep shut because GEJ is having a tough time cleaning up OBJ's mess. OBJ can never love Nigeria more than GEJ.
Politics › Re: I Won’t Dignify Jonathan With A Response, Obasanjo Says by jamace(m): 8:07pm On Dec 23, 2013
ilugunboy: Baba is not interested in GEJ response for sure.......

GEJ should rather work to be a better President as Baba advised...just keeping faith with page 14 of his letter to GEJ...:

“I will maintain my serenity, because by this letter I have done my duty to you as I have always done, to your government, to the party, PDP, and to our country, Nigeria.”
My friend, Baba is only interested in being the kingmaker in Nigeria, for his own EGO only, not for the interest of the masses. Do you get that? So, forget that old man who failed to put Nigeria on the right path when he had the opportunity to do so. With Baba, talk is very very cheap.

Baba, why are you as a card carrying member of PDP coordinating the affairs of APC? Who made you the kingmaker in Nigeria?

OBJ has an ulterious motive for his actions, even his daughter Iyabo confirmed it. Nigerians are no longer fo-ols.
You will know GEJ is lying when he denies everything in OBJs letter, not even accepting that he was right in more ways than one! Some people may be deceived or blinded by tribal allegiances but every neutral mind will accept that while OBJs letter may be heavy with a lot of questions and speculations, for GEJ to discount everything in that letter or find ways to hit back while pretending to be on a higher ground will not fly for long. Sooner than later he might find big regrets in his pontificating and sanctimonious lie of a letter.
You are speaking grammar meant for the classroom only. If you think GEJ has not addressed OBJ's letter properly, set yourself ablaze to show your grievance.

Politics › Re: At Last, Jonatahn Muster Some Courage, Replies Obasanjo by jamace(m): 4:35am On Dec 23, 2013
yibomustgo: Jonathan did not address Obsanjo's allegations. What he has done is to just repeat the allegations and denied doing them. He tried to give Obsanjo some body shots while doing it. I don't see this a good response to what Obasanjo asked in his letter.

Jonathan failed to address the corruption allegations i.e Stellah Oduah and co....

Jonathan failed to address his talk about only Ibos voted for him and Ibos being his backbone....

Jonathan failed to address the allegation of Al-Mustapha release....

Jonathan failed to address the insecurity questions in the country....

Jonathan failed to answer the question of supporting opposition parties with the promise that they support him for re-election...

Jonathan failed to address the problem he caused in Rivers State as sitting Governor, Amaechi is being humiliated by police and GEJ loyalists...

Jonathan has failed to address the allegation of weapons being shipped to Enugu and not the rest of the country.......

There are more questions to be answered.
Stop spewing thrash on this forum. If you can not comprehend a lengthy letter, say so, so that I can interpret for you.

Yes, I so support 100% .

OBJ should be expelled. He has been fraternizing with the opponent. He is assuming too much. PDP should clear his doubts. I don't know who made him a kingmaker in Nigeria?
