Sgt Badang was a great man. Pple raining insults on him are being insensitive. The confidence with which he approached the bomb was evidence that he had been doing the risky business before now. In the force u take orders and do Ɣ☺ΰ‎‎r job. If u are to rain insults or blame anyone then blame the FG for not providing state of the art equipment to tackle this menace, despite the huge budget on security NPF defuses bombs with bare hands and ₪☺ protection (fact). Bear also in mind that the bomb was remotely detonated, do not assume it was his touch that detonated it as someone placed it in the said location. My only prayer is for this video to get to the relevant qtrs and the govt takes proactive steps to stop a reoccurence else his death wld be in vain.
May his soul rest in peace.

The fact remains their procedures to take when dis-arming a bomb! you dont just walk up as if its a box of chocolate! they are procedures,

if Nigerian police havent got the robot or device, The US Army are based all over the world, its one phone call it would take, a Stealth plane from the Middle east would reach Nigeria in less than 2hrs
Hear what this one is saying. undecided No wonder you are a baby boy. grin

"I have heard a lot of stories about how people win the lottery, and they get broke in the short run and come across a lot of misfortune. I am scared, and so I'll give it to a lucky beggar on the street," she told TV reporters.
So, it was a transfer of perceived evil spirit and not philanthropy. This woman wicked o. shocked shocked

Now those are people you consider died for the Nigerian cause . . . not this policeman, who refused to obey common sense laws about staying away from what you are not equipped to handle as a human being.
Sergeant Bad Dung was as incompetent as these Policemen come. I'm not glad he died, but what he did was very foolish and careless, and would have even claimed more lives. Paying tribute to him will only encourage more policemen who have no clue what they are doing to go tampering with bombs till they kill us all!
Thank you. Not a single Nigerian, except terrorists, will be happy this man died. Ultimately, we wish him RIP but should all accept ,as adults of sound mind, that his unthinkably reckless, unprofessional and rash action led to his needless death .

Nothing at all heroic in what he did and Nigerians only look foolish to the world celebrating his action as such. Badung's crass recklessness, that goes against even the most basic of training, should not be commended as heroism.

This is another example of how 'different' we Nigerians are to others. Our leaders no longer know or feel shame, mediocrities are given the most important jobs in the land, cronyism and nepotism is killing us, crooks are deified while Nigerians themselves , even with the most simple of examples , cannot tell right from wrong !!! Why not just start an RIP thread, without all the drivel about heroism, and leave it at that? Everything about Nigeria now reeks of the celebration of mediocrity in all facet of our national life. Very sad.
These comments are not realistic about the plight of Sgt Badung and  the Nigerian security forces in general. Our security forces have been working  without the equipment for the safety of you and I.

I will urge above posters to leave their books and have a feel of the realities on ground.

Adieu, Sgt Badung.

According to a communiqué signed by the JNI Secretary-General, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, “CAN president must tell his people to stop mischievously disguising as Muslims in perpetuating acts of terrorism.“Federal and affected state governments as well as all security agents should, as a matter of urgency, investigate the several reported cases of Christians, who disguised as Muslims to burn churches.“JNI can no longer tolerate this double face attitude. Therefore, thorough investigations must also be made to unveil the sponsors of those Christian terrorists”, the communique reads.
What a statement! Is not obvious that the JNI is in full support of Boko Haram?

Not a bad idea, but in the meant time if they can't diffuse bombs let pay foreign experts to do it for them, lest they all kill themselves.
And we should also employ foreign leaders to run the country for us since the leaders have failed to provide equipment for our security forces. grin grin
