It is just sad to know that we are 49 on October 1, 2009 with the  present deplorable state of affairs in Nigeria. There is total loss of sense of nationalism in our leaders, only individualism. Most things that make a nation great are lacking due to corruption and general lackadaisical attitude of our leaders  towards common good. Its really sad.

Imagine the rot in the system. Most of the leaders, whether political or otherwise, got to positions through dubious means. In offices, funds meant for projects for the good of all are looted for individual satisfaction. In appointment/job employments,  the mentality is now  on connections rather than on ability  to deliver. Really sad, because the best candidates, having both the knowledge and the zeal to make things happen, most of the time, lose out because they are either "nobody" or "children of nobody". Hmm. I'm sad. Let me stop here.  sad  sad  cry  cry
