Politics › Re: Mutiny - Judgment Day For 28 Soldiers by jamace(m): 8:45am On Apr 07, 2009
The tribunal had on January 20, this year, sanctioned four officers including a former Commanding Officer for their roles which led to the protest.
Prosecution Counsel, Colonel T.S. Nurseman, said the soldiers committed the offence of mutiny, while the accused counsel, Femi Falana, said the soldiers had the right to peaceful protest, more importantly when their rights were being trampled upon.

The trial of the soldiers had generated reactions from within and outside the country, especially since their alleged offence were as a result of foreign mission coordinated by the United Nations.
The outcome of this case is going to be a reference point for subsequent judgements on issues like this. Well, Lets wait and see wait our learned friends will rule in this case.

Who is that man of audacity who can go to  Baba Kamkpe to whisper "you are under arrest for breaking the law of the FRN, sir"?  Baba will ensure the "fool" is locked in a chicken cage till further notice.

As things are in the country now, the fear of Baba is the beginning of wisdom.  grin

It seems your problem stems from a poor command of the English language. Your answers to my questions (above) shows that your post fails to accurately reflect your thoughts .

The title of your thread " Why Do Africans Praise The Dead Always", leaves no exception to the rule. You made an unqualified reference to all Africans, and to all occurrences in time.
Your original post makes reference to 'we Africans', meaning your are speaking on behalf of, if not all, at least the majority of Africans. To compound your generalization you make a second reference to 'everybody'.

There is nothing to be gained from reading between the lines, when one, such as yourself, expresses themselves so unequivocally.
Well, it is still sad that you failed to understand what all those who responded before you understood with ease. This may be due to being too critical about simple and obvious statements on your side. I will appreciate you read/interprete statements with an open mind to avoid embarassment .

So this person that died,
- All africans attended his funeral?
- He alone represents everyone that has stolen money, slept with the wives of others, and killed as many as they can in the name of politics,?
- Every African has been singing his praises?

Your earlier posts assumes that the answer to the above questions are in the affirmative when it obviously not so.
Even then you didn't even provide any reference/evidence (written or otherwise) to backup your single instance of occurrence.
Did you ever consider that only the people that thought favorably of the deceased attended the funeral, and others that didn't like him didn't attend? or do expect his wife, kids and relatives to all speak ill of him?

You are free to express your grievance about any thing, but please do not go about posting sweeping statements about others without providing any evidence to backup your claims
Wow! From your statements which I have highlighted, it is obvious that you do not understand me ab initio. For instance, how can ALL africans attend funeral for an individual at the same time in the same place as claimed by you? Again, how can one man commit the offences in all places in Africa? Also, how can every african know the man and praise him according to you?

My thread is very clear. Maybe, you should have read various responses by members before coming up with your sweeping statements which originated from your failure to read in between the lines.

Politics › Re: Nnpc Is Bankrupt.” by jamace(m): 8:26am On Apr 04, 2009
Rememeber the last time there was speculation about privatizing this giant-good-for-nothing-government-monopoly? Some people cried national honour, national pride, and vowed to resist with the last drop of blood in their body? If you didn't understand what they meant then, now you understand it
Why wouldn't you be bankrupt when all the money has been shared between the Alhajis and their southern sycophants.
Thanks for speaking my mind.

It is obvious that nigerians are not matured enough to run any government enterprise well. The best bet is to privatise it and save us from the stess of subsidy not subsidized and turnaround maintenance not executed.

and for some, they're told they or their loved ones will suffer the consequences if they quit. That's for the few even interested in quitting.
Yes o. They are our future leaders. They are rehearsing what their daddies taught them. Woe unto the masses of Naija as these terrorists will soon be unleashed on you by their wealthy dads as political leaders. sad
