See their names. Engr this, Engr that. If it is in an occasion and the MC fails to address them as Engr so so and so, the So-called engrs will rebuke and harrass the innocent MC. Now see how useless their engr titles are. Heartless and godforsaken engrs putting nigerians in darkness because of greed. I think it is high time we revoked titles of any non-performer. Nonsense. ![]() |

Abeg pity the poster. Rebranding the poster is better. |
I always grin when people just decide to quote Warren Buffet.Has he told you how much he has lost so far?Investment is not for those who can not withstand a litle dip in their investment, that is why I talked about psychology. As an investor, you must be ready to accept losses while keeping your eyes on the gains. You must also have flexible plans so that if your immediate target is not met, you can either accept the loss by selling off and moving on or you can hold for long term. That is why it is advised that you should invest only money that you do not require immediately. What you think Warren Buffet has lost, is not yet lost until he sells off the shares at present rate. And so it is with all investors in the stockmarket. It is only book loss. |

Ah! I thought I was the only one having that problem. Mine has been having that same problem since around 12.00 pm on 24 March 2009 till date. The packet data cuts from network nearly every 5 minutes and sometimes it takes upto 30 minutes before I can reconnect. I hope MTN is aware of this problem and should compensate customers with extra days. I am on the 24 hours per day service for a month. |

Robert Kiyosaki is one of the best. From Rich Dad Poor Dad to Cash flow quadrant to Guide to investing. All his books are really inspiring and i wouldn't have started thinking the way i do now if not because of him. The books he reffered to are also marvellous. So even if it turns out that the real Robert Kiyosaki is not who he claims to be, it doesn't matter cos in the end, he has affected the lives of many people and to me, that is all that matters. In fact, I am reading one of his books "Retire Young Retire Rich" presently and it is highly motivational. i dont know why this issue is being over flogged, does it matter if a story is true or fake? i think the idea is to pass certain knowledge which is what kiyosaki is doin. must of us have admitted dat we'v gaind alot from the books. personall, i'm not a great fan of the type of investment he is sellin but i still admit his books are educative. in any event, i hav options; if u r the black belle type & u r not happy with the number of bks he is sellin u can go ahead & photocopy it so dat the returns dont go bak to him! OR u can be like the rest of us who watch hollywood movies (even though we know they are fiction) but extract the lessons and move on!Yep. That is it. "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clason is another book which is based on story-telling but full of inspiration to motivate one to financial freedom. I like these books as I have learnt a lot in tems of how to become rich legally from them and I am already practicing their principles. Whether it is folklores or fairytales, doesn't matter to me. |
@jamaceI will personally consider the following stocks: Banks: Most of them are good. Construction: J berger and Costain. Food and beverages: Most of them are ok. Insurance: Mbenefit, AIICO, NEM, Cornerstone, Crusader and a few others. Mortgage: All ok. Petroleum: All. Information and media: Starcomm and DAARCOM Well, note that these are my personal choices based on my stockmarket psychology. Yours could be different. On the whole, I will advice any one with money to go in now, but at their own risk. Thanks. |
Please read this thread for what our politicians earn and you will know that Soludo is not earning anything compared to our politicians. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-232827.32.html |
