Politics › Re: Why Is Nigeria Not Working? by jamace(m): 9:17am On Mar 29, 2009
The Emirates' leaders are just ascorrupt as ours. Only difference is the relative sizes of the populations which means they can afford to steal and yet still produce a ''paradise''.
The emirates steal to develope their countries. Nigeria leaders steal to develope other countries.
Politics › Re: The Black Question by jamace(m): 8:57am On Mar 29, 2009
@ Poster. Thanks for your post. It posed wonderful questions and answers, at least in the immediate.
I second your reasoning.

Your Mental (mind) power is the greatest power which you as Africans have. Mind power is the greatest power in the Universes, and You as a race, are greatly in need of it, in order to think and do for yourselves independent of other races as other races are independent of you and once we reach this state it will give us the authority to speak, see and learn utilizing experience, evidence and reason leading to where all other nations will respect us. Because with this mental power we will come to realize that there is nothing we cannot achieve once our minds and mentalities are in order
Yeah. I think this is what we africans should imbibe, particularly our so-called leaers.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Police Kills 6 Kidnappers And Recovers 30 Million Naira Ransome by jamace(m): 8:11am On Mar 29, 2009
You see, nigerians naturally are dedicated lots particularly the ordinary citizens (civil servants) despite the fact that the salary is nothing to write home about compared to what our political leaders collect even though they both swore to serve the nation. I tell you, if any of those policemen involved in that rescue mission was maimed or killed, that will be the beginning of woes for him and his poor family , as he will be left to treat himself or incase of death, the family will suffer before they get whatever benefit he is entitled to. Thus, the uncertainty of life after active service is a nightmare to them as nothing is meritorious in meritorious service to ones country anymore in Nigeria. Thank God that the operation was successful without casuality to the policemen.

Politics › Re: What Have You Done For Nigeria Or Your Country In Your Entire Life? by jamace(m): 7:36am On Mar 29, 2009
D reason i said dat d poster shouldn't compare Naija with US or BRITAIN earlier is dat basically, they are world apart & strives there will not in Nigeria. Economically, both country are much more better than Nigeria. If not, why did u travel abroad? Many philantrophist like u helped d poor because of love of humanity & it worth commending but dont tell me dat if u had stay in Nigeria all your life, u would earned a much better life. You should not expect everybody 2 think along with u cos fingers are not equal sames as our perspective 2wards Nigeria differ. I ave done my bit in helping my community in giving 2 needy d little i can out of d little i ave cos as poor as them. Educating people on not voting 4 power hungry politicians
I think Nigeria should be compared to America/Britain. I have my reasons:
1. Nigeria has the human resources who are as educated as American/Britain. So many professors and Phd holders in all fields of knowledge. Proudly, some nigerians are in those countries contributing to the development of those countries.
2 The revenue generation from oil alone is enough to set Nigeria on the path to development since the '70s. Corruption of our leaders and lack of the political will has robbed us of this wealth leading to our development.
3. Nigeria has a population and landmass sufficient to stimulate and sustain development. However, corruption will not allow us to use this advantage.
4. The religious inclination of Nigerians is supposed to be a foundation to progress and development as religion preaches love and sharing. Alas, it is used for the underdevelopment of the country instead as used to fan the embers of hatred and disharmony among members against nonmembers,
5. Democracy is the system of government in Nigeria. Democratic practices are akin to african communal practices which support the spirit of brotherhood and majority vote (majority carries the day). Sadly, popular vote hardly works as rigging and thuggery are used to usurp votes and power.
6. Natural resources. It is awesome thinking about the abundant resources available in Nigeria, yet they are not fully tapped. And where they are tapped, the money goes into few pockets, a cabal who has no political will for the development of Nigeria but their personal agrandisements.

In summary, Nigeria has the human, material and goverment structure necessary and sufficient for national development. However, corruption and lack of political will by our leaders to develope Nigeria left us in our present state. Just like a foreign observer said, "Nigeria is too rich to be poor, and too poor to be rich".
It is only love of country that can propel us to that greatness.

i dont see anything wrong in what the woman is doing, getting babies off teenage mothers who are neither interested nor ready to be mothers and giving them to childless ppl,but she should have legalised it and done it through the proper channels, she might not make as much as she is making but far less at least then she would have peace of mind, we nigerians are always penny wise pound foolish, lets see what the appropriate authorities guarding the rights of children will do concerning this
Yep. I agree with you.
She could also would have liaised with a motherless babies home to send the babies to.

Permit me to suggest that Madam rebranding should do something about these old politicians in the name of godfathers, to leave Nigeria alone. They have portrayed Nigerian politics in enough bad light and they should be rebranded urgently, else the whole effort at rebranding Nigeria will be a mirage. sad
