Poster,
Please cool down. I thought you brought up the topic for discussion as is customary on the forum. I f you are not satisfied with a tradition/custom of any tribe/ethnic group, you only need to bring it forward for various opinions/views of members of the forum. The way you are throwing tantrums at most respondents is not too gentlemanly and unbecoming of a member of this educative and honorable forum. Please, tender apologies and represent your issue for proper deliberations. Cheers.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Pastor's Wife Preach In Their Husband's Absence? by jamace(m): 1:58pm On Dec 29, 2008
Whever I ponder on what is happening in our churches, particularly the penticostal ones I tremble in anger. If I may ask, has God's church become a family biz, where by the wife is the NOK of the husband? Hmmnn. There is nothing that poverty will not cause in Naija. Church is now a family biz. Maybe, that is why every preaching is based on prosperity. Prosperity for the family of course! In fact, some people are already of the opinion that churches pay tax, because the church is now a PLC. God please come quickly else there will be no faith left if you arrive late. Your kingdom on earth is already in tathers. Lord I am sorry if I have blasphemed, but that is what I observe sad.

Aspirefx, this your post is highly suspect. All your posts on this forum are on the same $7000 of LR. You told us by your post on 17 December 2008 that you have sold $3000 out of this leaving $4000. Mydex, a member of this forum volunteered to buy the remaining LR based on one-on-one dealing. Did you contact him? My brother, stop scamming or having the intention to scam. Repent and be born again angry.

Hello all.
This issue of fraud is getting too much on NL. For instance, one JOHN UKAN who claims to be selling Liberty Reserve has duped me of #19500. I paid this sum since 26 November 2008 and he has not funded my account till date. His user names on NL are EXCHANGE, NAIRAGO, etc. I can't understand why Nigerians always use good things in the negative ways. Prayer warriors in the house, please pray that these crooks will change their ways.

Family › Re: Why Has Divorce Rate Increased In Our Country by jamace(m): 1:54pm On Dec 23, 2008
Poster:
angry I have asked myself this question many times and I have come to the conclusion that the end of the world is very close. Think about the numerous churches in NIgeria and you will be disappointed at the rate of corruption, including divorce, in Nigeria. When you consider the amount of money and effort used during a marriage ceremony , you will think that the marriage will last forever, but nay. In fact, the more money spent during a wedding and the more so-called dignitaries that attend, the faster the marriage l crumbles. What baffles me most about Naija generally is that our prayer warriors bind and cast devil away during prayers, yet marriages fall apart with ease as if the couple were the ones bound in order for the devil to overcome them. True, marriages collapse faster when they are imposed by parents, based on materialism or built on "let me marry just to escape societal insult because I am overdue". Moreover, when husband and wife become independent of one another, in the name of modernisation, divorce becomes a friend to such a family. What of sexual promiscuity on both sides? In fact, Lord have mercy on your peoplecry
Romance › Re: Is There A Man Shortage? by jamace(m): 8:34am On Dec 23, 2008
There is no shortage of men or women. What is happening is that there is no morality on both sides. Men have become so promiscuous these days that even dogs are jealous while women too have become so Hot that even dogs do not need to search any longer to have a fling. Therefore, boths sides do not see the opposite to trust. Hence it looks like there is scarcity somewhere. There is no scarcity of male or female only scarcity of trust because good boys and good girls are hard to find grin.

cryWhat an appointment for my action madam? Well, Akunyili is an action person by all standards. I see no reason why she should be politicised now. Note that "Great talkers and great doers are never friends". Oh my dear president, i would have appreciated madam being at the helm of affairs at the health ministry to sanitise the rot there. Hmnn, what else can i say but to give a vote of thanks to my madam for her rare gallantry at the NAFDAC. Madam, though i don't like this your appointment, i still believe in you. I am praying for you. Good luck sad.

Thanks for keeping eyes on these internet mosquitoes sad. It is rather unfortunate that some young men are spending their youth telling lies and duping fellow beings in the name of information marketing. Most of these perverts knows next-to-nothing about what they profess. When shall conscientious living return to Naija? Bad! Really bad!! cry
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Catholic Priests be Allowed to Get Married? by jamace(m): 7:47am On Dec 13, 2008
Should Catholic Priests be allowed to marry? Hmmnn! This is a one million dollar question. Frankly and candidly, I will vote for marry when your faith fails you. I know what I am talking about. From the days of Christ todate, many things have changed. The natural environment of man has become sophisticated both technologically and culturally. Instead of going to the deserts or mountains to live or fast and pray, most priests now live in mansions furnished with latest electronic gadgets. Radios and TVs provide words and pictures that arouse the "animal instinct" in man most of the time. What about the effects of fashion crazy attitude of most female worshippers on the priests? These make the priests to "burn" internally by perpetually fighting a biological versus spiritual battle. Sometimes, these burnings lead to sexual acts which have really tarnished the image of priests and the church generally embarassed.I know that most of the priests who indulge in this bad habit, and who have conscience, have become cold in the propagation of the faith which they took an oath to serve. I am not saying that some priests of the protestant churches who are married donot have the same bad records. Too often, one hear reports of sexual misbehaviour by priests. It has even come to a point that some worshippers change place of worship once their priest is confirmed to be in this bad habit. Some worshippers even change to other christian denominations. whatever the church cannon codes say or rules of the church and the oath of celibacy, these can be amended to accomodate the contemporary world. I candidly hold that oath of celibacy should be optional to Catholic priests. By the way, I am a Catholic. Thank you. lipsrsealed

Fellow NL be warned here and now not to have any dealings with EXCHANGE. He is fraudulent. I needed LR and contacted him on phone on how to pay and get my LR account funded. I paid #19,500 into his SKYE BANK CASHCARD account no 6280512007661360550 on 26 November 2008. As I am typing now, he has not funded my account. His other name on NL is NAIRAGO(nairagoldnigeria). His real name is JOHN UKAN and his LR account no is U4926152. He has many GSM lines which include 08038430135/0702728830 and his website is http://nnbh.ueuo.com/sell.html. Everybody run from JOHN UKAN a.k.a EXCHANGE OR NAIRAGO. sad angry

Yes, I can see the  frustrations and despire in the hearts of Nigerians because of past rulers who failed to lead us  in the right path. sad  I support this move because:
I have a dream that one day Nigeria and nigerians shall live by conscience and do things right always for the benefits of Nigeria and nigerians.
I have a dream that one day  nigerians will not  need to know the who is who in the society to be given what is duely theirs.
I have a dream that one day Nigeria and nigerians would not respect persons with ill-gotten wealth but persons of intergrity.
I have a dream that one day  nigerians  would want to serve Nigeria and nigerians based on truth, equal right and justice, just to have their names on the sands of time.
I have a dream that one day  nigerians will be competing  to have a say in the society based on good character and morals only.
I have a dream that one day nigerian political sycophants would become jobless because our leaders will lead by conscience, equal right and justice.
I have a dream that one day  nigerian parents would not influence their children/wards into positions which they are not qualified physically, mentally and morally to hold.
I have a dream that one day the numerous religions, religious houses of worship, pastors/imams/chief priests and their congregations will impact positively on the affairs and lives of Nigeria and nigerians.
I have a dream that one day  our children will raise their heads high in the commity of nations because of the political/economic/technological developments in Nigeria.
I have a dream that one day  nigerians will not be humiliated at airports/seaports and all entry and exit points of other countries of the world because of the belief that nigerians are criminals. cry
I have a dream that one day paper qualification without comensurate competence shall be useless to the holder.
I have a dream that one day Nigeria and nigerians will demand accountability from their leaders without fear of intimidation by the powers that be.
I have a dream that one day Nigeria and nigerians will not disagree with their fellow nigerians merely on the ground of religious/political/ethic differences but on a genuine ground of right and wrong only.
I have a dream that one day  these nonsense dreams of mine shall be the pillar of Nigeria's  existence. sad
So help us God!

What do you want to achieve by this kind of post? Do you want to murder peace for us again. We have not recovered from the JOS political/religious conflicts yet and you want to bring another katakata dimension on NL. God forbid shocked. We don't want to fight religious crisis no more. As a brotherly advice, NL should please refrain from comments on comparison of religions henceforth. The damage religious crisis has caused us in Naija in terms of human and material resources is unquantifiable. Note that religious tolerance has gone on holiday and since we are not matured enough to handle religious discussions in Naija, I humbly request the moderator of this thread to please keep your post in view. Thanks grin
Business › Re: Why Are Our Youths Involved In Yahoo Yahoo? by jamace(m): 9:08am On Dec 10, 2008
Who told you that the youths are lazy? They are only towing the line of the OLDIES who have monopolised the wealth of this nation. The Oldies despite the fact that they have EXPIRED have refused to leave the political scene for them to paticipate. The oldies have refused to retire from endeavours that would have accommodated the youths in terms of employment. The oldies are just recycling themselves both in government and politics without having positive effects on the lives of the youths. Can you imagine that oldies who loot our national treasuries are given front seats in churches/ mosques as eminent personalities? (Oh GOD/ALLAH, are you seeing what these oldies have turned your places of worship into? sad) Are our politicians not lazy? Tell me, how can a politician be in a public office for 4 years and within this period he would build mansions in the choichest parts of the world. Did he not get rich quick despite being extremely lazy to work for the people that voted him into office? (Remember that he swore through the BIBLE/KORAN to serve the people). The poor youths are only looking for where to be relevant in the society. cry I am not supporting the youths in carryingout yahoo yahooo biz. The truth is that the oldies must give the youths the chance to put their MODERN ideas to use in the service of their fatherland. Remember, an idle mind is the devil's workshop. angry

Thanks for this topic. Fraud/scam/419 has become the main trade of most NL claiming to be selling one thing or the other on NL. For instance, a NL by name NAIRAGO(nairagoldnigeria) who claims to buy/sell e-currencies is a 419ner. On 26 November 2008, I paid #19,500 into his account to get Liberty Reserve. We discussed on phone before i paid the money into SKYE BANK CASHCARD with name John Ukan and a/c no 6280512007661360550. After payment, I notified him and he promised to fund my account. To date, he has not funded my LR account. The most annoying part is that he does not even pick my calls again. There is the need for honest NL to be very wary of these faceless marketers on NL particularly, in this Sallah/Xmas season sad.
