EntertainmentPhoto : Snake Bites Man’s Penis As He Sits On A Public Toilet In Ghana by Jamaticulus(op): 1:41pm On Dec 17, 2013
A 34-year-old man at Faaman near
Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District
of the Ashanti Region had his penis bitten
by a snake while attending to nature’s call.
Kwabena Nkrumah was sitting on the loo at
Faaman when he suddenly felt a sharp pain
at the tip of his manhood.
When he starred deep into the toilet,
Nkrumah, who is a porter, nearly collapsed
as he saw a big black snake which was
about to pounce on his dangling manhood
once again. The man then shouted for help
and jumped from harm’s way to a place on
the toilet where the snake could not reach
him, Mallam Yahaya of Kessben FM said.
According to him, the incident occurred
around 10:00 am on Wednesday, adding
that Nkrumah’s sudden wail for help, caused
panic and fear among other people who
were also attending to nature’s call. He said
Nkrumah’s shouts of “snake, snake, snake,”
intensified the panic among the people as
they ran helter-skelter without even cleaning
themselves to avert being hurt by the
serpent.
Mallam Yahaya said Nkrumah reported to
the people that he had, indeed, been bitten
at the tip of his penis by the black snake,
complaining further that he was feeling
severe pain at the tip of his manhood. He
said the people around hurriedly rushed
Nkrumah, who was feeling a bit dizzy, to the
hospital where he was treated.
Nkrumah had since been discharged from
the medical facility. Recounting his horrific
experience on Kessben FMs ‘Breaking News’
programme, Nkrumah told Ali Baba, host of
the show that, he initially thought the pain
he felt was normal until he saw the black
snake lying just beneath him. He noted that
he started shivering and yelled for help. He
however said he was now feeling better.

SportsINDIA To Host The 2017 Fifa U-17 World Cup Tournament by Jamaticulus(op): 12:01am On Dec 13, 2013
Fifa president Sepp Blatter confirmed on
Thursday that India will host the Under-17
World Cup in 2017.
Eight venues have been shortlisted to be
pared down to six – Goa, Pune, Mumbai,
Bangalore, Cochin, Kolkata, Delhi and
Guwahati.
The news was greeted with elation among
Indian officials
"This is historic, this is what we have been
waiting for," said Praful Patel, president of
the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
"Fifa has been extremely supportive of All
India Football Federation's ambitions and
taking Indian Football to the world level,"
said Patel.
"Both Fifa President Joseph S. Blatter and
Fifa Secretary General Mr Jerome Valcke have
always been huge supporters of Indian
Football."
Patel also thanked the Indian government
for providing "the necessary guarantees"
and told the AIFF website the move could
revolutionise the game on the Indian sub-
continent.
"Hosting a tournament of such a stature will
also help galvanise the face of Indian
Football among the masses and youth of the
country.
"At the moment, football is popular in
certain pockets in India. With the U-17
World Cup taking place, I strongly believe
that the popularity will swell overnight and
the mission of making football a pan-India
sport will be realised," Patel said.
AIFF general secretary Kushal Das added: "I
cannot sum it up in words what this means
to Indian Football," as he expressed
gratitude to the government, Fifa and Patel.
In all, 24 teams will take part.
China hosted the first U-17 event in 1985.
Nigeria's Golden Eaglets are defending
champions after winning the last event in
the United Arab Emirates last month
Chile will be the next hosts in 2015.

PhonesHONDA Creates Airbag For Smartphones by Jamaticulus(op): 3:01pm On Dec 07, 2013
Japanese automobile giants, Honda have
found a solution to falling phones and
cracked screens, the company has invented
Smartphone cases complete with airbags!
More often than not, owners of smart
phones worry about the after math of their
phones when they fall which usually
includes cracked screens and the overall
dysfunctioning of their mobile devices,
hence phone cases where invented . This
just wasn’t solution enough, so Honda
engineers came up with the idea of
Smartphone cases with airbags to soften
unexpected falls and all together prevent
damage to your phone.
The casing virtually guarantees your device
will survive any fall and possibly even a
head-on collision with a truck. The case
would be great for you if you don’t mind the
added weight.

PoliticsPHOTO: Tafawa Balewa Relaxing On Vacation With His Children In 1963 by Jamaticulus(op): 2:54pm On Dec 07, 2013
It was in the year 1963 and Nigeria’s first
and only Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar
Tafawa Balewa took his annual leave and
was off to his village to spend it. Then a
British photojournalist came along but they
told him the that the PM had gone on
vacation.
The photojournalist then asked to which
country but he was shocked when they told
him the PM went to spend the vacation in
his own village. To satisfy his curiosity, he
decided to travel to the village. But on
getting to the village, there was no sign that
a big man was in town. Everyone went on
their normal business and the village was
peacefully quiet.
Then he met a farmer along the way with
his donkey carrying bales of sugarcane, and
he asked from the farmer the house of the
PM. The photojournalist was again left
speechless when the farmer told him that he
had just left the PM and that if he gets to the
PM’s house, which he described, he would
meet him sitting on the bare floor with his
kids enjoying the sugarcane that he gave
them.
The British photojournalist was dazed when
he reached the PM’s home. This is the
picture that he took. May the labours of our
heroes past never be in vain.
Today, we have vagabonds and thieves in
power. Those who disturb an entire city
with sirens and their empty noises of vanity.
Those who loot the treasury of an entire
nation and still insult our common
intelligence with their embarrassing
incompetence. Nigeria has all it takes to
become the greatest nation on earth. All we
need are visionary, dedicated and inspiring
leaders and not the shameless rogues and
incorrigibly kleptomaniac bandits who lie,
rob, cheat, rig and kill their way to power.
WHEN IT IS TIME TO VOTE, REMEMBER YOUR
UNBORN CHILDREN AND USE YOUR HEAD.
HAVE A NICE DAY.

SportsWhat MOYES Needs To Change To Succeed At MAN UTD by Jamaticulus(op): 1:09pm On Dec 07, 2013
At the start of the season, Moyes seemed to
talk about how there must have been a
conspiracy to hand United tough games at
the start of the season because they were
the defending champions. It seemed to
escape him that the fixtures were compiled
in a ‘random’ manner by a compiler and
regardless of any conspiracies, every team
plays every other team twice a season.
At a point, he said “I think any manager
who had been given that run of fixtures
when they took over at this club would have
found it difficult”. The prelude to that
statement was “But maybe, you know, if
those games are later on in the season and
not in the early part of it, then I might have a
better understanding of all the players and
the situation at the club”. The difficult start
he did not like contained the following
games: Swansea(a), Chelsea(h), Liverpool(a),
Crystal Palace(h), Manchester City(a). Of those
five games, two were won while two were
lost. Only the failure to win against Chelsea
that makes that period to be just average.
The ‘easier’ run of games that have followed
have brought about losses to West Brom(h)
and Everton(h) while drawing against
Cardiff(a), Southampton(h) and Tottenham
(a). This leaves him with a win percentage of
43%. That’s not even nearly title-winning
form and sure enough, the team is snugly
sat at 9th; twelve points from the summit
the same as the number of points from 18th
place.
At the start of the season, Moyes apparently
set about lowering expectations so as to
reduce pressure when things started to go
a bit bumpy but when you consider that
Moyes is actually leading the defending
champions and not some plucky team that
sneaks into 4th or 5th place, you begin to
see how ridiculous it seems. One thing that
has been truly surprising is how little
criticism David Moyes has received in the
media, it’s almost like journalists do not
want it to seem like they are out to get him
or maybe because he’s a good old British
manager. Contrast this with the treatment of
Andre Villas-Boas at the start of last season
and criticism he’s received this season even
though Spurs and United finished 5th and
1st respectively last season but Spurs are
two points ahead of United right now.
David Moyes can turn out to be very
successful at the club with time- most
intelligent people become successful with
time as long as they learn from their
failures- but some short term stability would
be expected. For example, one would expect
the defending champions to put up a good
fight in defence of their title and not finish
lower than 3rd but with every passing
week, it seems like the team will be out of
the race for the title by January and will
instead be in a battle to finish in 4th
position so as not to miss out on the
coveted Champions League.
For him to succeed, he would have to make
two changes.
The first is in this choice of starting players
and substitutions. That should not be a
problem as he spends more time with his
players and gets to know them more. That is
why it was a very bad idea to let go of the
back-room staff that he found at United- the
same back-room staff that was part of
probably the most successful era in the
club’s history.
The second change he has to make is in his
‘mentality’. Moyes looked like a fearsome guy
at Everton but he had this air of being at a
‘small’ club and he had to fight against the
odds. At United, he’s at one of the biggest
clubs in the world so things have changed.
He’s at a club where they go out to win
EVERY game they play. A club where
managers are expected to win around
70-75% of their league games every season.
These are high standards. Wins against
Stoke City at home are NOT to be celebrated
with fist pumps neither are statements such
as “we’ll just go out and try and win the
next game” to be made. A look at some of
those utterances Moyes has made so far
makes one wonder if Sir Alex Ferguson
would have been caught dead making them.
Right now, Moyes gives the impression of
still being the manager of Everton and that
he’s judging the team’s season through that
lens. THAT needs to change.
Apologists will tell you that Sir Alex Ferguson
did not have it good at the beginning and,
in defence of Moyes, will throw Sir Alex’s
early United stats at you. What they neglect
to tell you is that although the team finished
4th in the 85-86 season (under Ron
Atkinson), United had not won the league
title since the 66-67 season. Sir Alex
Ferguson took over a team that was 21st in
November ‘86 and led them to 11th place
that season (86-87) whereas David Moyes
took over a team that had won the league
four times in six seasons, while finishing
runners up in the other two, and had
appeared in three Champions League finals
in that time. How’s that for a stat?
