1. LOVE WHAT YOU DO Don’t wait to find the thing you are passionate about. Bring your passion to what you are doing today. 2. ALWAYS BE LEARNING Do not subscribe to the belief that you are done with learning when you graduate high school or college. See every situation as an opportunity to learn a valuable life lesson or skill. 3. BE A DECISION MAKER Be decisive. Be at peace with the decisions you make. Be courageous in accepting responsibility for your decisions. 4. BECOME SELF-REFLECTIVE Observe yourself. Take time to reflect on your inner motivations for what you do. 5. DON’T HOLD GRUDGES The longer you hold on to a grudge, the more you empower the person who hurt you. Reclaim your power by letting go of anger and bitterness. 6. DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF Learn perspective. Don’t waste an ounce of energy on anything that is petty or insignificant. 7. BE A PERSON OF YOUR WORD Do what you say you will do. See your tasks and projects through to completion. If you can’t, don’t make up excuses. 8. DON’T BE AFRAID TO PLAY TO AN EMPTY HOUSE Do your work with joy and enthusiasm, even when you think no one is noticing or watching. 9. WORK THREE TIMES AS HARD If you’re not giving it all you’ve got, it’s probably not worth doing. 10. PRAY OR MEDITATE Find a higher purpose. Success without a higher calling will be unsatisfying at best. 11. WAKE UP EARLY Want your day to be more productive? Wake up early. 12. FOCUS ON THE WHY Clearly define your “why.” Your “what” and your “how” will follow. 13. STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS Live your life rather than yearning for someone else’s. 14. STOP SELF-SABOTAGING BEHAVIOR Are you telling yourself and others that you are not worthy of success by your actions? Change your behavior and start telling a different story. 15. WATCH WHO YOU HANG AROUND WITH Stay away from negativity. It will suck the life energy out of you. 16. START A MASTERMIND GROUP Find a group of like-minded individuals so you can encourage each other on your paths to success. 17. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS Always be mindful of the present moment. Take a few minutes out of your day to sit in silence. 18. EXPRESS GRATITUDE Never tire of being grateful. Take a deep breath and smile. 19. GROW A THICK SKIN Learn to graciously accept criticism. Learn to positively deflect mean-spiritedness. 20. PRACTICE EMPATHY Learn to identify with people on a deeper level. Spend an afternoon talking to people at a homeless shelter. Take a friend going through a difficult time out for a cup of coffee and give them your undivided attention (i.e. turning off your smartphone). 21. TRUST IN THE PROCESS, NOT YOUR FEELINGS You’ve plotted a long-term path to success but you don’t feel like doing it today. Don’t be tempted to quit or take short cuts. Trust the path. Get up and get to work. 22. SPEND LESS THAN YOUR EARN Learn to manage your money. Create a budget before the month begins and stick to it. 23. LEARN DEFERRED GRATIFICATION Do you really need to upgrade your smartphone today? Do you just have to have that new car? Probably not. Wait until you can afford it. 24. DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT YOUR SUCCESS TO LOOK LIKE Visualize your success. Do you like what you see? How can you tweak your vision to something you will be happy with? The visuals we usually associate with success is money falling from the sky, flashy sports cars, nice clothing and accessories, and a gorgeous woman or man at your side. Is that what you want? What if success was more about having the freedom to pursue and strengthen the relationships that matter the most to you? To have the resources to help the less fortunate? Don’t simply assume success is what you see in popular culture. You get to decide. 25. DECIDE AHEAD OF TIME WHAT YOU WILL DO IF YOU FALL SHORT Will you quit? Will you do a course correction? Will you double down? Will you seek help? Decide ahead of time. 26. READ GREAT BOOKS Read educational books. Read non-fiction books. Read fiction books. Read inspiring autobiographies. Read spiritual books. Read children’s books (to your kids and to yourself). Find the great stories that will inspire your own story. 27. PRACTICE AFFIRMATIONS This will help you overcome self-sabotaging behavior. Speak them aloud. 28. EXERCISE YOUR BODY AND YOUR MIND Along with physical exercise, play strategy games and do mental exercises that will challenge your brain. 29. DEVELOP YOU ABILITY TO OBSERVE AND READ OTHER PEOPLE Learn to observe people. Become interested in their interests, likes, and dislikes. Listen to them. You will eventually learn to anticipate their needs. 30. BE OTHER-CENTERED Always think about ways you can add value to others. Banish the question “What will I get out of this?” from your thinking. 31. BE GIVERS Give joyfully of your time and resources. Take the time to mentor a person in your field, to volunteer, and to financially support a worthy cause. 32. STOP COMPLAINING Don’t complain about how terrible your life is, even when times are tough. You life is not terrible, you are simply going through a terrible time. It will pass. 33. FIND A MENTOR Identify a person who has achieved external and internal success. Ask them questions. Learn their story. If you do not have personal access to this achiever, follow his blog or podcast. Read her books. Watch his YouTube videos. 34. HOLD ON TO RELATIONSHIPS THAT KEEP YOU GROUNDED Never lose sight of the relationships that matter most. No matter how successful you get, you will always need the love and support of family, friends, and people you respect. Besides, success will be no fun unless you can share it with them. -source. http://harkindeleallday..com/2015/01/34-things-you-can-do-internally-to.html |
Everyone in this life wants to be rich, famous, influential and respected. But you can't achieve all these if you don't have some certain characteristics or habits. Even if you have not achieved success but you do have these habits, success will come as long as you don't lose your persistence. Here are the ten signs that you have got what it takes to succeed. You have a penchant for knowledge: If you are someone that loves learning a lot whether by reading books, listening to audio books, videos or whatever it is that improves your knowledge, then you are on your way to success. In this modern world, this vital productive habit is on the decrease. More people are after entertainment and fun stuff, they don't want to go through the rigours of learning. without knowledge, you cannot lead because readers are leaders. You love planning: If you are someone that always loves to keep a pen and a biro and you use these tools to write out goals, plans on how to get to your goals, to-do lists and the likes, you are on your way to success. As that evergreen saying goes "Those who fail to plan, plan to fail". Planning gives you direction. It makes you to know where you are as an individual and where you are heading to. It is a super vital habit for a productive person. You know how to manage your time: You should your priorities and you make time for them. You know what you should be doing and you avoid what you shouldn’t be doing. You've developed habits that make your life more efficient and productive. If you can’t manage your time, you can’t manage anything. You have friends who are successful: A lot about your success in this life has to do with how strong your network is. And if you've got a network of successful friends then it's likely your own success will come soon. You have confidence: Confidence is something that is admired by everyone. confidence shows that you have faith in your potential and in your ability to succeed. People need confident people around them, organisations need confident people working for them. Confidence makes people to follow you and believe in your dream. People love being around you: When you observe that people love being around you, you are on your way to success if you can plan, work hard and believe in yourself. For people to be constantly around you, it means that they find you entertaining, confident, positive and intelligent. You can use that people's power to your advantage. You are patient and persistent: If you are someone that is able to exercise patience and constantly persist in the face of adversity, then you are on your way to success. Most people nowadays are fast-lane kind of people, they want things to happen by magic. But successful people know that real success takes patience and persistence. You are naturally motivated: If you are someone who is always in high spirits. If you are someone that is passionate and wants to achieve great and big things, there is every tendency that you will and that is success. Success is when you are able to achieve your defined target and affect lives positively. You are improving everyday: If you are someone that makes conscious effort to improve everyday in your given field, as time goes on you will differentiate yourself from lazy and complacent individuals in your field increasing your chances to succeed. You have to improve everyday to have success in this life. You have self-discipline and control: You need to be able to exercise discipline to do what you are supposed to do and avoid that which is detrimental to your progress. You also require self-control to avoid things that are adverse to your health, relationships and your life. You are an early bird: Really successful people wake up early and use the advantage of the early hours to do a lot of stuff. Lazy people struggle to get out of bed and love to sleep a lot. Discipline yourself to wake up early and use those hours productively. source......http://harkindeleallday..com/2014/11/10-signs-that-you-got-what-it-takes-to.html |
Recently I was discussing with a good Christian sister and she asked a really important question that got me thinking. At that time I couldn't provide her with concrete answers, so I decided to research. The question which she asked goes thus “ Why do guys choose bad girls over good girls?”. And after my research, this is what I was able to come up with. 1. Bad seems hotter: Bad women have more sex appeal. for men, bad means hot and usually bad women are surrounded by a lot of men. Men being their naturally competitive selves, will desire to have them. 2. Bad girls are more outgoing: Bad girls are naturally self-confident and secure. They don’t really give a damn about what other people think. They are also more outgoing, social and confident than good girls. Guys love confidence and also girls that are fun to be with, hence they are drawn towards the bad girl. 3. Dating a bad girl is an exciting risk: Good girls are just too damn predictable. You can know where they will be at certain times, what they can do and so on. And when something is predictable, there is no excitement. Guys are natural risk takers. They will prefer to take risk and enjoy all the thrills that a bad girl will bring. 4. No thoughts of the future: Bad girls are naturally fun to be with than good girls. They are not too bothered about the future while good girls are always talking and thinking about the future when they are dating men. Guys like women that take that pressure off them. 5. It’s a challenge: Guys love challenges and bad girls offer a fun and unique challenge. They play hard to get and make you work hard for it. What guy don’t really understand is that good girls are usually harder to get. 6. Bad girls are rebellious: Guys love it when women can rebel against them. When women go against their orders and express an independent opinion. Girls that always try to please men and always do as they are told are not attractive to men. Men might keep them as wives but their mistresses are usually the rebellious type. 7. Bad girls have fewer strings attached to them: When you are dating a bad girl, she just wants to be with you and have fun but with good girls, they want commitment: they want to take you to their church, they want you to know their friends, and they want you to meet their parents. Guys don’t like all those sort of strings, they want to be free. ...........http://harkindeleallday..com/2014/10/7-reasons-why-guys-prefer-bad-girls-to.html These were my findings. Controversial? I would love to hear your opinion. As for me, I would like me a good girl that is fun to be with and not too uptight.

1. Relieves Fatigue and tiredness If you often feel tired, there is a high chance that it could be due to inadequate consumption of water which makes the body function less efficiently. In fact, fatigue is one of the first signs of dehydration. When there is less water in the body, there is a drop of blood volume which causes the heart to work harder to pump oxygenated blood out in the bloodstream, and other major organs also work less efficiently. Thus, drinking adequate water can help your body function better and reduce fatigue. 2. Improves Mood Dehydration can negatively affect your mood and ability to think. A small study conducted on 25 women and published in the Journal of Nutrition found that being dehydrated can take a toll on your mood and cognitiive function. The color of your urine is a good indicator of your level of hydration. The lighter the color the better the level of hydration and vice versa. 3. Treats Headaches and Migraines If you have a headache or migraine, the first thing that you can do to get some relief is drink plenty of water. Headaches and migraines are often caused by dehydration. In a study published in the European Journal of Neurology, researchers found that increasing water intake helped reduce the total number of hours and intensity of headaches in the study participants. 4. Helps in Digestion and Constipation Water also improves the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. This helps in digestion and prevents constipation. Inadequate water in the body often results in constipation as the colon pulls water from the stools to maintain hydration, thereby making them harder and difficult to pass. Drinking sufficient water boosts your metabolism and helps the body properly break down food. This helps your digestive system work well and promotes regular bowel movements. Warm water, in particular, is good for digestive health. 5. Aids Weight Loss In a clinical trial, scientists found that drinking two eight-ounce glasses of water prior to meals can help suppress appetite and hence support your weight loss efforts. When you drink water, it fills your stomach and reduces the tendency to eat more. Plus, it helps increase the rate at which the body burns fat, and promotes the breakdown and elimination of fat cells. Calorie-free water is also a great replacement for high-calorie drinks like alcohol, sugary fizzy drinks and sodas that often contribute to weight gain. 6. Flushes Out Toxins Water is an excellent detoxifier as it helps to flush out toxins from the body and get rid of waste primarily through sweat and urine. It also promotes kidney function and reduces kidney stones by diluting the salts and minerals in urine that cause kidney stones. Though you need to drink adequate amount of water throughout the day, experts warn against drinking too much water (although uncommon still, it is possible) as it may reduce your kidneys’ ability to filter out waste. Thus, it is recommended to drink the amount of water your body requires. As the amount of water required by the body tends to differ from one person to another, it is usually suggested to drink to your thirst, and also include other fluids and foods with high water content in your diet. 10 HEALTH BENEFITS OF DRINKING WATER 1. Regulates Body Temperature An ample amount of water in the body also helps regulate body temperature. The thermal properties of water and its ability to release heat from the body when sweat evaporates from the surface of the skin greatly helps maintain an even body temperature. A well-regulated body temperature also will make you feel more energetic when exercising. Water also helps keep your joints and muscles lubricated, thus preventing cramps and sprains. 8. promotes healthy skin Water keeps the body well hydrated and improves capillary blood flow, which promotes healthier and younger-looking skin. Water helps replenish skin tissues, moisturizes skin and increases the elasticity in your skin. When the body gets enough water, your skin will feel moisturized and it will look fresh, soft, glowing and smooth. Also, water helps prevent and treat soft lines, scars, acne, wrinkles and other aging symptoms 9. Beats hangover Drinking water works as a simple yet effective way to get rid of hangover as well. Being a diuretic, alcohol causes you to pee much more than you take in. Thus, water helps rehydrate the body and speed up recovery. Experts recommend drinking 16 to 20 ounces of water at night before going to bed after you have had too much alcohol. 10. Beats bad breath. Bad breath is a clear sign that you may not be drinking sufficient water. It keeps your mouth moist and washes away food particles and bacteria. It also dilutes the smelly compounds that oral bacteria create. So, drink sufficient water and also rinse your mouth with water, especially after having a meal or snack to control odors and remove bacteria and food debris stuck between your teeth and gum line http://harkindeleallday..com/2014/10/10-health-benefits-of-drinking-water.html |
