I suggested you were Igbo because I've observed the typical Igbo writer is usually sensational and do not "read the room". They also put their emotions unneccesarily into their piece. You need to be realistic.

In a multi-ethnic state like Rivers state with about 19 distinct ethnicities, people tend to see things alot differently. There is usually a competition for the highest political offices and every ethnicity will do anything to secure such for themselves. Why will Ikwerres with roughly 1/2 the voting strength in Rivers vote abandon OK Chinda and vote for someone who isn't one of them?? Someone whose ethnic group is a direct competitor for political power and relevance in Rivers state? Why won't the Ikwerres support Nyesom Wike, their son, to continue in governance, knowing with him, there is an assurance of adequate national representation?.Call him bad all you want, its your business. You have the time to waste.

Peter Obi that has no verifiable political achievements in his 8yrs in Anambra is being touted by Igbos as Nigeria's Salvation. Good for nothing Peter Obi.

Are you from Rivers state? If yes, where in Rivers?? Because all I see is naivety. The Lulu-Briggs are an oil&Gas family. They are also into construction. They do philanthropy too. But they don't command any political structure anywhere in Rivers. No organic support from anyone and they come from a region in Rivers where people don't give political support to each other. Their ethnic group (which is a big deal in Rivers) don't have the electoral numbers. And Dumo Lulu-Briggs himself is a serial governorship contestant that no one takes seriously, since 2003 till date. He's always on the ballot to bargain for contracts.

Don't give yourself false hopes. I know you are Igbo.

It's been a while we heard about Gov Sim Fubara in the news. Unlike some months ago when he was battling with his godfather Wike.
Since the agreement of no more impeaching him and no 2nd term for him, man has been as cold as ice.
It seems the man has accepted his fate and recoil to himself.

But I am having a feeling Gov Sim Fubara didn't kept quiet on purpose just for peace to reign in Rivers State. I'm having a feeling he's cooking up something against Wike and to a larger extent Tinubu before and during the 2027 election. Honestly speaking this is just my opinion and feelings.
But on the contrary, in reality. If I am in his shoes. I won't let them turn me into a coward they have already turned me to without fighting back.

There's nothing to lose again. It's already known I won't be seeking re-election. Nothing is gonna erase my name as the former governor of Rivers State. So striking back at my traducers will be sweet bowing out.
My plans: some days to the general election I will change every head of government parastatals loyal to Wike and Tinubu including the state inec presiding officer.
And replace them with loyal people that we have planned together months on what role to play during the election.

I won't care if President Tinubu later wins the general election, but I make sure the opposition wins Rivers State with clear margins and deflate the overblown ego of Wike. After all, it's not compulsory I must hand over to the next person.
Days before the handover, after the damage has been done. I will be in one foreign country like Obiano chilling while my deputy do the handover.

The ethno-political dynamics of Rivers state will work against Fubara. Wike is Ikwerre, Chinda is Ikwerre. And Ikwerres are particularly known to back their own. It will be difficult for an Ikwerre to campaign & vote against Wike/Chinda.

Also, The Ikwerre-speaking LGAs alone (Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt, Ikwerre and Emohua) control about 1.4 out of 2.5 million registered voters. The people in thise LGAs are not entirely Ikwerre, infact Ikwerre might be less than 55% of the total population in thos e LGAs but Ikwerre has mastered that art of "owning" those votes.

The more registered voters in PH, the more votes you're dashing us.
