I am also a newbie
but so far what I have been looking out for is potential endusers...

before regging a name check related sales on namebio.com
I also type the keyword on Google and look out for users that might be interested in the domain name I.e the sites that are using related term or the ones that advertise for that keyword..if I see potential endusers on page one and two ...I note the name and search further to look for better ones
Note: i don't reg immediately i feel a name is worth it ,hide your card somewhere when doing the search
after the search and I am confident enough that is when I go ahead and reg.
I also use Google adword planner to check the average search per month and competition level ( high,medium or low) for that keyword..I prefer higher competition and high CPC .

when using expireddomains.net I use filter to check the names that have their dot net and other extension taken , I do this' mostly for geo names.

Also you follow trends ..what is trending?...crypto..bitcoin, AI ,Virtual reality, etc

if you read from page one you will get all the point you need

you will see an option to choose auction , offer or BIN .choose the one you want, then click on create thread. hope it helps

then

Note: there is a space in btw ping and the ns2.bodis.com

you don't need cname

just click on your domain in your control panel , then click DNS, click dns modification, you will see a message telling u all service attached to the domain will be cancelled, click accept, then you will see where to change your name server, note. you will have to provide the IP address of the name server u ought to use ....simply use command prompt to get the IP address e.g ping bodis.com for bodis IP....

it will be best if you reg the name by yourself instead of someone registering it and sending it to you cos as a first time customer on godaddy you are entitle to a bonus of registering your first dot com domain name for 0.99$ (317Naira) by Gtb card and (405 naira) fcmb card but someone registering it for you and sending it will cost around 8 to 9 $(2568 Naira) ,3280 naira FCMB card

You can go to your control panel, click on emails and create one.

For your domain name: request for domain name transfer, change your dns settings and you are good to go.

can you shed more light on this, is it that , you transfer your .WordPress domain name to godaddy and then change the name server to ns1. or DNS
