There is no law against carrying food on a flight. I don't think you can bring food from home and it will be allowed through security. You can buy food after security and board your flight though. That's the difference.
I have sha carried moimoi that i bought from The Place through airport security and all. I even wacked one half of it at my stop over in CDG airport.

[quote author=goodfortun post=62028521]Hello mommas.... congratulations on the New born babies. May God bless and keep them in Jesus name! I've attached a picture of my baby's navel. It was small initially but seems to have blown up as he grew. He's two months old. What can we do bout it? Has anyone here experienced same and it went back in? Thanks!

umbilical Hernia...my daughter has it too. Was advised by the dr. to let it be. It also poses no health risk for the baby.It should regularize when baby is older if not see a pediatrician for possible surgery.

goodevening mamas.pls any mum that has used this before should pls educate me on how she sterilise it, because it seems like lo doesn't get satisfied from sucking directly so I want to express and use this to feed him.pls it is urgent as I want to start using it immediately
OMG! Where did you get the similac nipples from ? I have been needing it like oxygen as my LO only accepts that nipple. I was using the microwave sterilizing unit with it but was advised to boil the bottles and nipples after she came down with an infection. Boiling it works well as they have withstood a year of rigorous use.

Please oo.
My son just turned one and I stopped breastfeeding when he did. He was already eating table foods before he turned one so it was no trouble weaning him. I started him on Nido Kinder so he can get his milk but I just remembered moms here discussing about how Full Cream Milk is better than Instant Filled Milk.

Trouble is, all the brands noted here (Loya et all) are not sold here. Please does anybody know of any full cream milk I can buy in the US? sad
Stores like target and walmart stock a variety of full cream milk like nature's first, kerrygold and even Nido. Even better, you can try Enfamil toddler milk or similac go and grow.

Hi Mideyola. Sorry i just saw this now. Doctor was The Women Group, South Tampa and was charged $3250. Had my daughter at St Joseph's women hospital Tampa and bill was 3300. I also had other associated costs like lab fees, rhogam shots etc (this should depend on your gestational age). Baby's Paediatrician was dr Stephen A Williams. He charged $250 for hospital visits and $70 for subsequent visits.

Agbo especially for babies is an absolute no no. Even drugs are most times not necessary talk less of agbo. Allow the baby's system to develop before you start bomarding it with all sorts. Some simple tips like massaging the baby's tummy with a warm towel or oil and also stretching the babies legs in a sort of bicycle motion as suggested by another mum. Always ensure that your baby burps after each feed before you set her down.

Good morning everyone. Chai! I have missed nairaland. My baby came with crying anointing to the point that Momcy called a pastor to pray for her because the cry odikwa plenty much grin grin. Bikonu my people, my baby does this groaning and grunting thing like someone that wants to pass out hard shit (sorry grin). She does it all the time and it scares all of us. As she is doing it, she maybe releasing series of atomic farts. This groaning thing does not allow her sleep well at night. She only gets some relief when i lay her on my chest but then that means no sleep for her. Everyone that we have told about it says it's her tummy and that it will resolve with time but in the meantime, what can I do to relieve her? I feel the grunting and groaning means she is in pain. Are there agbo/home remedies that can help? I regularly give her gripe water but I don't feel its doing anything for her. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
She may have colic. Please don't give your baby agbo. Check out this link for tips on how best to handle the situation.

[quote author=bookholla post=59813035]Tanx. I actually do press my breast into his mouth and milk comes out so I don't know y he
My daughter totally refused to suck my boobs from when she was born and i really wanted to feed her breastmilk exclusively till she turned 6months. So i was compelled to pump out milk using an electronic breast pump. With this , i pumped out milk 3 times daily. For every pumping session i get about 20 ounces of milk.
i would advise that you pump out milk so as to gauge the quantity your baby consumes while still putting him on your boobs to suck till he gets used to it.

spiceeamiee, how is your baby now? Pls don't let anyone to blackmail you emotionally! At her age, she does not know what is good for a baby!!! It has nothing to do with her TTCing... when your baby is good and all well, clear the air and tell her you have nothing against her, you only addressed the situation at hand. You don't owe her any apology! If she's not matured enough to understand how you felt and the stress of taking care of a sick child, you also shouldn't care about how she feels!

Please take care of your baby and remain protective cos if anything goes wrong, no one bears the burden with you
You nailed it @ feddy27. I wouldn't apologise for any reason whatsoever. After putting my baby's health in jeopardy then i should say sorry...nada! Would have even gotten her arrested sef. She is 47 years old for pete's sake not 4 or 7. TTC is no excuse for endangering a newborn.
Spiceeamiee so sorry for what you are going through. I pray for God's healing on your baby.

Biko who knows where I can buy sandwich fillers in Lagos. I prefer to buy but incase they don't sell who makes them pls tell me how you do it. Also who knows where I can buy plain wraps. Like the type used to wrap sharwama. Thank you in advance
Try Spar or Candy on Kofo Abayomi.

For sandwich fillers and wrap respectively I use the ff:

Fry my eggs sunny side, sprinkle some flaked pepper and salt, fresh tomato, onions , lettuce etc/ avocado toast with salt and pepper and lettuce/ make a sort of grilled cheese sandwich

Stir fry mixed vegies with shredded beef /chicken, prawns or whatever protein that catches my fancy.

hello people, please the hospital i intend using in Florida is Broward Health, It is a walk in hospital so basically they do not give information on the phone or via email but my host recommends the hospital because of the proximity to the house. However, Holy Cross hospital has sent me registration forms, delivery cost and all via email but i do not intend to use their services, my question is can i use the Holy cross correspondence for POE, and if yes, does this mean its not necessary to make deposits before arriving??
Hi, don't think it is necessary to make a deposit until you are checked in for delivery. You should have enough money with you while travelling to show that you can cover all costs.

You can also check out stonyhurst schools. It's right behind lagoon schools. Great place. The proprietor knows what she is doing. My 3rd child is there. I made the mistake of going for big schools with my first child and he got left behind. I don't make that mistake now.especially for preschools.
I did visit the school. Really pricey though

Jamjam5000, I know PPS is a good pry school , but I dont know much about their preschool.
U cld compare with Magnolia, Marymount or Wissen place.I personally prefer pure preschools
Thank you . Will try Magnolia and Marymount. My grouse with Wissen place is that because they are new and haven't been " tried and trusted". They may good facility but I am not so sure of the quality of thier staff.

So I was thinking maybe I should get piriton syrup because that was what a doctor almost prescribed when the cough couldn't stop awhile back.

What do you mamas think please.

Dear Mama,

Would advise you go with the medication as prescribed by your baby's dr as he/she has probably evaluated the baby. If there is any side effects from using the medication, go back to the paediatrician.

No mummy! Absolutely not. you can start solids any time around 4 to 6 months. Until then, breast milk or formula provides all the calories and nourishment your baby needs and can handle.

[quote author=dtush post=53762479]My story. At about 4pm on 13/02/2017, my hubby called me. I could barely hear what he was saying but i picked up a few words. Start heading home, the nanny left Olivia and has jumped the fence with her cohorts. I cant even explain the feelings that tore through me. I didnt even bother to shut down. I just grabbed my bag, snatched my wig from my head and raced to my car. My boss and colleagues ran after me. I just kept muttering my daughter, my daughter. They tried to grab my bag, saying i cant drive but believe me i wasn't thinking.

My dear sister, thank God for his mercies towards you. Where do you work or live? If on the island I might be able to recommend an afterschool creche.
