@AkayTopsy, congrats on the progress u ve made so far. U ve a big pen . also since ur pen is inside a bush sort of, make provison for wire mash to cover the entire pen to prevent small animas from entering ur pen.
Hope u used 4x4 wood or a bigger one to hold the pen.

Rzq4: @jamp, i observed dose symptons on my farm last wk and all i did was to vaccinate dem against newcastle cos it ws due. I recorded no mortality as dey are all doin fine nw.... Coughin, loss of wgt wtout any problem wt d nervous system may be CRD or coryza(swollen of the head) and antibiotics such as enrofloxacin or sulfa drugs cld effective. Giv lasota every 2 to 3weeks

How old are ur birds?are they in cage?

Which one is pre layer feed, I tot they eat growers till they start laying. Pls explain

My birds had same problem though not all. We were abut giving them d last vaccine ie 3 in 1 when We discovered some were light while some were closing their eyes. We had to give them a strong antibiotics(deoxyen). Their poo was also green in color(light green). They were supposed to be giving lasota(vaccine for newcastle) but we decided to give antibiotic since the next vacine 3 in 1 is also for newcastle.the birds are ok now though we lost 2 dt period and they are ready for vacination tomorow(3 in 1).

I will advice you to check their droppings and if its green pls give them lasota else administer a strong antibiotics.cheers

davonny: Hello house, I sincerely need d advice of the experience ones in d house. I live in lagos but I have 2 plots of land in ogun state yhat I'm planning to use for poultry farming. I just cleared the land last week.
This morning I discovered a very big poultry farm near my house in lagos and they have a space for rent(70k per year) that can contain 1200 layers. All facilities is there, I'm to pay and bring in my chichs immediately.
Pls, which one should I go for: to gradualy develop my land in ogun state or start with this rented farm around my house in lagos. Pls ur sincere advice is needed

I will addvice u to take d offer. Pay 70k n move in. Pls ensure u fumigate the place very well before moving in.

While u are there pls make plans to develop ur land in ogun. This arrangment will afford d opportunity to develop ur own gradually witout putting u under pressure.

Battery cages comes wit nipples from where the birds drink water. Urs is to provide an overhead tank. The tank will be connected to the battery cage.
