I registered my first domain in 2014 but it was for a nickname that I have always used as my main email and handle on social media and most websites. I still have that name and renew it every 5 years. I just thought one day I might need it for a business. Funny enough there have been businesses that have sprung up with the same name or similar but I don't have it listed for sale. It's a name that ends with "king". That was how I got started dormaining, it was only to register things like my nick name and last name.

My current portfolio is only 24 names but that's because last year I got rid of most of them and decided domaining isn't for me. I used to have about 200 names. I didn't do any research or outbound. I just register names I like than last them for sale.

Because nobody knows when the bear market will end. I don't do short term trades with crypto, I only buy what I'm comfortable holding for a very long period of time or sell at a price that is multitudes higher than my average cost price. I buy at levels that I like and hold for the long run.

That's actually a good question. I think I became aware of bitcoin from reddit and it peaked my interest. Whenever it makes a new all time high or has a massive dump, the financial news outlets would talk about it. Also the news media love talking about all the bad headline news like when the U.S govt shut down the Silk Road website or when Mt.Gox was hacked or when Chinese authorities banned their banks from carrying out crypto transactions. It's still surprising to me that not that many people knew about it because sites like Yahoo finance had an article or two every week about crypto.

About your second question and this is not to brag or anything but I was buying about 10 Bitcoin every other week back then until Coinbase basically shut down my account due to fears of money laundering in 2017. I switched to buying from Gemini and eventually, they also closed my account for the same reason. I kept most of my coins in different wallets, some of which I forgot about until last year when Bitcoin hit $100k.
Back then I was younger, I had a lucrative job and no responsibilities except for my rent and personal upkeep. I sold some over the years to buy a house and diversify into real estate, stocks and other business ventures.

I don't really follow technical analysis, most of my entries have been based on events and my personal experience. I advised people to start buying Bitcoin around that $19k range because I remember all the hype about Bitcoin hitting an all time high of $19k back in 2017. Now if you are a TA person, you can say that's resistance turned support but I don't trade based on that. Same reason I don't expect Bitcoin or Dogecoin to fall before their November 4th low which was the U.S election day, but if it ever goes there, I'm selling the farm to buy even more.

Added more Dogecoin here at about $0.21. I don't think we will see the November 4th price of $0.15 but if we do, my limit buy order in set. Holding until $5.

$5. I can see some paper handed people already selling and advising others to sell on this thread. These are folks who live in the now. If you've ever forgotten coins in a wallet for several years before and then suddenly remember it, there's is no better feeling seeing those returns. Then you ask yourself if you would've held for that long if you were monitoring it every day or listening to naysayers. Until you've witnessed over 4000%+ returns just from holding, you wouldn't really understand why patience is vital if you want to be rich and stay rich in any investment.

Lol I know you are probably joking, but the truth is I have had more than my fair share of 10X or more returns as well. I don't trade futures or use leverage, not really my risk appetite. I like to buy and hold; I feel good knowing I own my coins.

Also, If I don't announce my trade entry on this thread, then I have no right posting about the profit I made because it doesn't benefit anyone in any way. I will only give updates on positions I mention here.
I posted a screenshot of some bitcoins I bought from Coinbase and sent to my Blockchain.com wallet back in the days. BTC was less than $1000 each

I made this post in 2022 when bitcoin was about $19k. I bought them and have been holding ever since and currently up over 400%. I put my money where my mouth is. Life is very unpredictable, just because you started first does not mean you will finish first. There are many people on Forbes Billionaire's list who never imagined they will be billionaires someday but some investment, perfect timing and a stroke of luck may have launched them to heights they never dreamed of. What I'm saying is, just because you may just be discovering crypto now or you've lost so much money in the past does not mean you cannot surpass people who started before you or you cannot rise again and achieve far more than you lost.

Look at at Michael Slayor, the founder and Chairman of Microstrategy. His company started buying Bitcoin in 2020, which was 12 years after Bitcoin was created. But today his company is one of the largest holder of Bitcoin. But there are people who have been in crypto since the early days but they cannot boast of having one Bitcoin to their name. Also remember that Microstrategy stock lost 99.9% of it's value during the 2000 dot com bubble burst, at one point the stock was trading for $0.42 per share; today MSTR is almost $400/share and one of the highest performing stock in 2024. Michael Slayor's net worth is around $8 billion.

I look at life very differently from most people. I see the sun rise and set every day, I see kids running around with all the energy in the world and I see the elderly lying in bed weak. Babies are born and at one point we will all pass on. I've had my lows in life as well as my highs. I've come to understand that life is a rollercoaster by design. You are supposed to have highs and lows it's the very fabric of life. When something or anything goes up for too long its against nature and it has to reverse. Same for when anything goes down for too long. When things are going too good in my life, I worry, it's unnatural and I prepare my mind for the lows. This very mindset helps me deal with the challenges of life. Anything that moves in one direction isn't stable, nature works best with ebbs and flows.

So look at what has happened to you in the past as a necessary part of life. Your highs are in order. It's not always when you started but do you have the vision to believe in something so strongly you literally speak it into existence? I believe Dogecoin will reach $5, you should buy and hold and watch it happen.

I've always known Dogecoin has staying power that other memcoins can only wish for even before this year. When the richest man in the world started promoting Doge I just knew it's only a matter of time before it goes parabolic. I started accumulating coins in 2021 without caring how long it will take to hit my target.

After the attempted assassination of Trump in July and after Elon Musk publicly announced his support for Trump, I knew the time has come. I was confident that Trump will win the election and Doge's time to shine has come, hence the reason why I made my post here in August that I was buying Doge.

Some haters will say everyone is right in a bull market, maybe for those who are just jumping in now and riding the wave, which isn't bad. But some of us have been building long term positions during the bear market when others were predicting doom and gloom. I'm okay holding for as ever long it takes to hit $5 before selling 90% of my positions and maybe reentering at a later price. And like you said it can hit $10 or even $30. Volatility is the price we pay when playing the long game.

In my post from last year, I also said others should start buying at that price and if they did, they would've 2X their investment by now. That's the relevance of the post. And seeing that it bothers you so much, I will make more predictions in the future when I see fit and when those predictions come to pass, I will bring it up again so you can have a heart attack or you can use it to form legit.
