kingdotman: But Davido successfully took 32 asymptomatic people along for testing? There was a country![quwote author=JamParkMe post=87904332]That person seeking a test right now is an unserious fellow. They are only testing those with symptoms such as fever, cough and body aches who may have been exposed to an infected person. There are very limited number of testing kits to go around, so yes of course screening is selective. Even in America and Europe, they are only testing people with symptoms, so why did your friend think he can just get tested like that? The rich and famous all over the world are getting tested without symptoms. News flash! Life is unfair. |

nija80: Dont know why we behave this way.the test kit are not enough.going about all those hospital exposes oneself to the disease. Why do we continue to look for what is not missing.the symptom is similar to any other ailment so if you are not expose why test.please let seat in one place and forget all these child play and notice me.this thing is real and sometimes deadly Thank you. They don't think. So quick to criticize the government than think for themselves. |

nams77: I don't know how you people reason. Do you know that asymptomatic patients do share the virus? Are u going to test only those with symptoms? What about those who are newly infected without any symptoms and are also transmitting the virus? Is this the best way to stop the spread? Think critically pls. Is this how south Africa was able to test thousands of persona in few days? Stop making excuse for the failure of our government. I even propose that every local government in Nigeria should have testing zone. That way we can curb the spread When you and your friends have produced 7 billion testing kits to use and test the whole world, please let us know so every foreign government can buy it from you to test their citizens. Until then, use your thinking faculty and realize that there are limited number of testing kits so therefore only those with symptoms will be tested. |

mojeed4: Davido and his entire crew were tested. Were they all showing serious symptoms?
I see a lot of people jubilating because majority of those confirmed are well known individuals / politicians and those close to them. What we don’t know is the several others infected who are lesser known and prolly spreading it already. Unfortunately money talks everywhere and not just in Nigeria. |

MrCEO69: But davido could test 32 people in a day.. abgei money talks in Nigeria. Money talks everywhere in the world. American basketball player Rudy Golbert was the first athlete to test positive even though he was asymptomatic. There was an outcry on social media because many people couldn't get tested but he did. Money talks all over the world but you and many other people on nairaland are hell bent in believing inequal access to healthcare only exists in Nigeria. |

pacespot: Who told you Nigeria's cases are not more than Israel already, Israel has tested a number of people, should release the number of tests done in Nigeria so far? Germany is testing as many as half a million people per week. Let me throw the question right back at you. And who told you Nigeria's case is not far less than Italy's? Exactly, no one knows. The reason we don't know is because Nigeria isn't testing as much. Italy is only testing those with symptoms for now. There's not enough test to test 8 billion people on earth. |

eephydanielah: Yeah very true, there is a criteria required before one can be tested in Europe and US. But for that man's first question to be "who are you and who gave you my number?" Instead of "are you having any symptoms and what is your travel history?", shows that testing is only for the high and mighty. I will advise we the "poor masses" to try our possible best to not to catch the virus, if not, O.Y.O is the anthem! Shalom! Perhaps the rich and famous will get tested before the average person. Same thing has happened in Europe and America. But don't completely believe every story you read online, some people are out to stoke fear and cause panic while also garnering pity points online. |

deavicky: but Kaduna state governor didn't show signs before he was tested. I've said it many times and I will say it again. Politicians must be tested if there's any suspicions that they might have come in contact with someone who tested positive. They are the leaders for Christ sakes. Trump got tested without symptoms. But seriously how do you know Kaduna state governor had no symptoms whatsoever? |

sulaak: You should be aware that even WHO is still learning about this new virus, hence the warning message in the link that I shared , focus on the conclusion paragraphs. Alas!! But you confidently said it is spread by airborne and went ahead to quote the WHO. Now you are saying the WHO isn't so sure how it's being spread and they are learning everyday. But somehow you still expect Nigeria to have a stockpile of testing kits for this new virus that caught the whole world unawares. Man, do you guys need me here to eradicate this infectious ignorance. Let's assume you are right that they now carry out tests on everyone. You are inadvertently admitting that America was only testing those with symptoms due to the limited supplies they had initially. America has the highest number of cases because they tests even those without symptoms which shows positive...
Lot of people have no dymptomps because of their strong immune system. But that doesn't mean they can't infect others..
So if NCDC I'd only looking for symptoms before testing, OK hen even you too you are not safe because the infection is moving and lots of people are not showimg symptoms. Wrong. Stop spreading falsehood. They only test those with symptoms. Simple and short. |

vineyardfarms: WHY SHIFTING RESPONSIBILITY FROM ONE DEPARTMENT TO ANOTHER? HOW PREPARE ARE THEY? NCDC?? DID YOU LISTEN TO MR PRESIDENT ADDRESS?? FATHER PROTECT US FROM HEARTLESS LEADERS IN JESUS NAME. IN AMERICA TESTING IS 5 MINS. In America testing is not 5 minutes. Over the weekend they announced the introduction of a testing kit that can produce results in 5 minutes. That doesnt mean they have manufactured enough kits to test everyone including those without symptoms. As it stands, if you have no symptoms, they won't test you. Maybe you should stop wasting data on pornhub and instead read world news, maybe you will be more informed. Also it's very rude typing in all caps, learn some internet etiquette. |

Why go to offices to get tested yourself. Is that the laid down rule?
Do you want to get other people infected Why wouldn't people do the right thing for once.
If you having symptoms u need to call and your samples would be taken. Stay at home, don't move from Jabi to Gaduwa.
They wouldn't do the right thing and they will come here shouting foul.
Please kindly stay at home and observe yourself. Within your 14days if you show symptoms contact the relevant authority.
If you need numbers to call check NCDC handle Exactly. Its ignorance. |

Please learn how to read. "WHO continues to recommend droplet and contact precautions for those people caring for COVID-19 patients and contact and airborne precautions for circumstances and settings in which aerosol generating procedures are performed"
It isn't airborne, it is droplet. They only recommend airborne precautions when administering aerosols such as nebulizer treatments. If it were to be airborne, it will be far more virulent than its current state. Also, those patients will need a negative pressure room as used in TB patients who are placed on airborne precautions. How many negative pressure rooms do you think exists in hospitals around the world? By the end of today, you will be more knowledgeable than the WHO epidemiologists, I guarantee it. |
