Days!!! Amin oooo. Lol. Lol@rentals..by default, I found myself checking Google already oo lol..Thanx a lot. Will be sure to frontload all documents.

@jamson
Yesso.. Make I join the grant crew oo. Thanx bro. Unto medicals...It's like i will go with that iom clinic oo. I saw the email addy you posted, do they have a phone number pls? Do I need to get yellow card from port health first or is opv included in the cost of medicals at the clinic? Thanx
OPV is not included in the cost. Get it from port health for 1k. The doctor asked us for the yellow card and we 'tewo' for him, he said we should make sure it's done before we finally travel (and we nodded several times saying, ''yes sir''). So get it before u start uploading docs for visa app so the CO won't ask u for it thus delaying ur grant.

Thanks for this info. Please do you have an idea on the bill for children?
jukeblam:
Children don't require PCC; it's for persons aged 18 years and above.

However if you meant how much medicals cost, I believe Jamson can help with a current cost at IOM; I did mine at Fatayi Williams around April 2016- I assume prices would have changed since then.
See the table below

Hi Jamson, Bnimz and other PTE legends in the house......please how were you guys able to improve your pronunciation?

I have been using some apps to convert my speeches to text since that is what PTE does. I'm afraid they've not been picking more than 40-50% of my speeches correctly, is this not a failure already in PTE speaking?

Please I need your advice and guideline.
Bnimz, where are you ooo? I have little to say to be honest. All I did was to mimic American accent undecided please thrash those speech to text software, because they will only succeed in demoralizing you. Make sure to digest all E2 PTE video lessons on YouTube and abide by their instructions. While it is good to work on your pronounciaton, don't do that at the expense of other important pointers like vocabulary, grammar, content and form as they are very crucial to your 20 points

I am happy to provide further help

Hello house,

Update!!!EA Positive assessment landed on Tuesday the 10th-Hubby was assessed as a PE.1 down 3 to go.

PTE prep loading...

@Jamson,Iceberg anyone who Front loaded medicals i urgently need a step to step guide on how to go about this because i no dey waste one more second than i have to.

- I will also appreciate recent update/contact for Naija PCC.

Keep pushing people,We will get there.#Optimistic
Congrats on the positive assessment! I assume you have submitted EOI by now. If not, please join the queue sharply. Don't joke with ur 20 pointer PTE if it is needed. Medicals can be done ahead if you are sure ITA will arrive within a year of health clearance. As for PCC, just go Alagbon, na from the gate dem go start to dey drag u for patronage. 5k go do per head. All the best with the rest of the journey.

Thanks for this Jamson,

Please did you front load medicals?I need advice on this.TIA
Yes, I did. In fact, I went for my Medicals before I got ITA. All you need do is create an immiaccount, start a new application, choose health declaration and follow through with the form filling till you are able to generate a HAP ID. This ID must be generated uniquely for the Principal applicant and also for other dependents. Book an appointment with an authorized clinic, depending on your location and present your ID(s) for medical exam. Feel free to seek further clarifications

Hello House,

Any advise on which Clinic to use for medicals between Fatayi Williams and IOM Health centre (Ikeja) will be appreciated. CO just gave go ahead for Medicals.
IOM is the bomb. They are very organised and friendly. Paid N42,800 for myself and same for wifey. Xray join for the money ooo. Not so with Fatayi Williams where I think there is an extra charge of 5k for Xray plus the stress of going to St Nicholas. Meanwhile, IOM is along Isaac John Ikeja while the other is on the Island.

You can alternatively use monumaemeze@iom.int

Thks @Jamson,
I am aware of these means of transfer, but the exchange rate is killing. It'll be a lot cheaper to just pay naira here while the equivalent is settled abroad.
Killing ke? huh huh I am not sure you are aware as you claim oo.

Last time I checked, they exchange 1USD for NGN 412. Including the charges (NGN18,375) on the transaction might just push it to something around NGN432. Not even Santa Claus can give it to you lower than that grin grin grin

Hello house,
Happy new year. Pls I need assistance with payment. I want to send 1200AUD for skill assessment to friend in Oz to make payment and send documents on my behalf (documents DHL already). He doesn't have a Naira account where I can pay the equivalent to ease the total cost. I'l appreciate any help from the house, someone who I can deposit naira equivalent to, while AUD equivalent is paid to colleague in Oz.
Thanks.
This is what I did to pay for my EA assessment. Walk up to any bank (preferably the one you have account with) and ask if they offer westernunion or moneygram outbound service. If yes, provide your passport or any other national ID and deposit the send amount in your account. Also provide the name, city and country of residence of the beneficiary. The beneficiary will pick the cash up at any western union or moneygram merchant outlet as long as they provide a valid Id bearing receive name. The con here is that there is a limit to what you can send (between 300k and 330k per quarter).

You can do the registration by yourself and choose the preferred centre for the exam. There some bank that still allow payment up to 300USD with your naira debit card like Stanbic IBTC bank. The time that the voucher goes for 45k in Lagos and 55k at Laidera Consulting in Ibadan, the actual fee was 38k when you do the registration yourself although you can't make the payment with bank like GTB because the money is above 100USD.
Can't recall when anyone on this forum has successfully paid for PTE using a Naira card.

Your calculation is correct but might not be realistic,

I waited until I got someone when I was going to submit my EA application.....guess how much I saved, a whopping 150k!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to one blessed person here on this forum.
The calculation may not be far from the truth because the only tangible offer I got while trying to pay for ITA was 350 per AUD. I ran for my dear life and settled for USD which came in piece meal that eventually added up. The reality is that you might only be able to see people help with Naira AUD swap when you are paying for assessment as the amount required is chicken change compared to amount required for ITA. People rarely send the huge amount of money required unless they have an ongoing capital project here in naija

The almighty VETASSESS is the assessing body here and I hear they won't even look at your documents without at least one year experience in the occupation you are nominating. Also as SA (another wahalish state when it comes to 190) don put am under special conditions, to say the odds are high is an understatement. I suggest you should work with the other occupations you were looking at against next immigration year, that reduces your odds significantly. Hopefully, policy reviews will Favour you in the coming year. Nothing stops you however from prepping your documents for assessment to save time.

SegunWamiri, thanks for the insight....

Do you fancy my chances of applying as one (South Australia is still open for high points). My IELTS IS LSRW 8.5,7,7,7,

I tried to find this on SA's list with no success. Kindly drop the ANZSCO code here so I can check further. I am happy to help explore this with you.

Bro,
you are an engineer joor. with CDR you are ok.

I am a Banker but not an Engineer. I read Library Studies (Undergraduate) and have MBA. Worked all career life in the Bank (Marketing/Branch Management).
Couldn't seem to be able to find something to hook up to on ANZSCO currently.
Can you advise?
Tough one!! Must confess, my strength is in the Engineering field and my advice is limited (and subject to further verification) on other occupations.

However, having looked through SOL and CSOL, I saw the following

Sales and Marketing Manager 131112 AIM

Corporate Services Manager 132111 VETASSESS

Finance Manager 132211 CPA/ICAA/IPA

I think they (all on CSOL) are occupations you should look at and see if any is worth exploring. Just do a little research into the states sponsoring them. Then depending on your number of years on the job, some of the assessing bodies might overlook your first degree and focus on your years on the job. I even think your MBA might be an added advantage here (if it doesn't cut off too much from your years of experience)

I am sure the bosses can help with further advice.

Ok. I work in a bank (IT Network and Comms). I assessed under EA and my assessment outcome was fantastic. 2 of my 3 career episode was based on work experience (inside the bank ooo).

EOI....check
ITA....check

Long story short, it doesn't matter where you work. It is what you are doing or have done (as reflected in your reference, resume and episodes, if you are an engineer).

Are you a banker?
