mctowel01: Sure and btw, September 1st made it your tenth year since you registered on nairaland and yet your first post was just last month. Seems strange Hahahaha.... U are right chief. All I've been doing all these years is to read threads and their comments then pick race. For the first time in 10 years, I'm on a thread that got my blood so pumping that I needed to hop in. Thanks to Bellong and other anointed ministers here. |

Ifexsco,
Please, did you claim points for your spouse's qualifications?
Wondering why they needed verification from her school. Or is that part of the process at DIPB?
Pls shed more light |

jukeblam: Skip the skilled employment assessment; the degree assessment is very adequate. Having your work experience asssessed positive by EA doesn't really add much value; DIBP will still perform a verification (if they choose to) when the visa application is made.
Just save that work assessment fee and use some place else. Wait o, Oga Jukeblam I don confuse small. Are u saying we should only pay for the CDR assessment? The one of $750? When me I don dey try gather for the one with relevant skilled employment assessment $1030 because I'm claiming 5 years work experience Bosses pls clarify

chuckdee13: The application is online which means ur sch sends nothing to them. Meanwhile the student copy is just fine, thats what I used. The MSA booklet is just saying u should not certify anything meaning u should scan original documents and not photocopies. Spot on!! Thanks Chuckdee13. I noticed you asked same question about twice before now. |

Please, for all that got positive assessment from EA, did anyone upload an original student copy of transcript. If not, did anyone ask their university to send an original. I'm asking because when I went through the MSA booklet, there was a footnote where they said no certified copy of any original document should be uploaded. Meanwhile, my school usually do physical mailing. Please help clarify.

mctowel01: If your undergraduate degree was bsc in Electrical Engineering, go for Electrical Engineering cis EA's accessment doesn't take much stress compared to other accessing bodies. Take advantage while you can. For the ceilings, EA doesn't normally give Electrical Engineering easily as there are slme requirements they often seek in the career episodes, rather they change it to Engineering Technologist which doesn't really matter in terms of points(15points). But the eventual outcome is that due to lesser number of Electrical engineers, with 60 points you get called faster for Electrical engineer than Engineering Technologist though not in all cases, but on the average. So go with EA and make hay while the sun shines. Thanks, McTowel01 |

bellong: @Jamson,
You are better off assessing with EA, faster and less documents to provide. Thanks a lot |

Oga Bellong, Oga Jukeblam, other heroes in the house.
Pls I'd like to seek clarifications on few things
Going through skill select site, i saw a table on occupational ceiling value and electrician has 9345(result till date is 47) compared to about 1k plus of Electrical engineering (result till date is 140). Pls does that mean I stand a better chance nominating electrician? Or the reverse is the case?
If electrician stands better chance, do you think my BEng in Electrical should be hidden or still be presented alongside my work experience for assessment at TRA. I don't know if they might raise a flag on me being overqualified or something.
I hope I'm articulate enough. Thanks in anticipation |
