Good day house

Please, i need experts in the house (especially those already assessed by Engineer Australia) to help clear my doubt on if student's copy of an academic transcript or an official copy i got through a previous employer is accepted by EA?,

Thank you all in anticipation for the response.
Haba!! But you said you have gone through the thread from page 1.

Ok oo. EA accepts your student's copy, the original submitted to an employer is equally accepted (that's what I used)

My broses in this Aussie hustle, yes I know the Visa fees are high. But one of my guys wey pass thru this hustle and is currently in Melbourne told me that they have an biometric capturing office at Ikeja and that he paid his visa fees in Naira. Just want to confirm from the godfathers on this thread. Can we pay this money in naira (and tell Mallam Audu to go to hell tongue) or must it be in foreign currency? Imagine sourcing for $6,000 huh huh
Please advise

I dey o, chief. I never lodge ooo. I dey try find reasonable rates..(lai lai, Mallam Audu no go carry my ITA money marry second wife)

bolaobby:
@Jamson

I was looking for information on documents required for the visa application so as to safe time after getting ITA. My question now is, Is it coloured scanned that is needed or Certified True Copy (CTC) of photocopy documents.
I do not think you need to notarize any document so long they are scanned original (I stand to be corrected)

Bnimz and Mamajaz,

The king has abdicated his throne, it is left for the kingmakers to crown his successor.....na joke I dey oooooo grin grin grin grin

Damoche64,

If I understand your intentions well enough, you want to go solo for cost sake. No issue with that, you still have to declare you are married but indicate that you are not migrating with your dependents in the current visa application.

However, it is good you do a once and for all time visa payment for you and your wife (and pikins if dem dey) as this is more cost effective on the long term as compared to going later to file for your spouse after you might have settled down.

Please see the skillselect site for your options.

Dem no exactly suspend am.. . They merely warned that due to the holidays, fast-tracked applications would take longer than 15 working days till the end of January.. which is understandable. EA has been closed since 24th.. they'll open on the 3rd.. definitely there'll be a backlog for them to deal with..

However, look at it this way.. ... if fast-tracked applications are going to take longer than usual, I don't want to imagine how long "non-fast-tracked" applications with a default turnaround of 15 weeks will NOW take...
Oga Bnimz (as Bellong don ditch the title.... wink) na your party I dey na. Whether suspend or rusticate, I told the gentleman to still pick it up as soon as he can as waiting for a normal assessment turnaround time is 'suicidal'.

I' m sure you'd agree with me that there is even more to it than the money or response time. What if some unfavourable immigration policy review springs up from the blues and his processing is caught up in the middle of it
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by jamson:
Bnimz:
But why nah?!? huh the extra money is not worth waiting four months bro.... you can still fast track.. really urge you to reconsider
Not sure what his reasons could be, but I know EA has suspended the fast track option from the 5th of December to sometime in the middle of January 2017. This is for the holidays I guess.

OzyMigrant,
I implore you go back and pick up the fast track option as soon as EA puts it back on the shelf. Your assessment outcome should be out in about 3 weeks as compared to the months you are currently waiting for.

Consider and explore Bellong's advice if you still need to use a letter of proficiency, get your wife to write the Academic and Records Unit (usually at the University Senate) of her school requesting for a letter of proficiency in her name. This should come back to you at little or no cost. Na only proper follow up e fit chop.

see the request sample attached.

Hello everyone is it necessary for our spouse to write English test when nominating 190 or 489 visa? Should we just use to whom it may concern from his school.

I know that the next pte test will be my last so am putting all documents together.
Ordinarily, a letter of proficiency would suffice. But a case was brought up on this same thread where the CO rejected the letter and instead asked for an English test result.

So I guess it is a matter of who is reviewing who and as for me ooo, I have taken my wife to write PTE to avoid stories that touch the heart with unnecessary delay.

@mamajaz

Looking at the two results, you have made some progress. Please don't give up. Success is around the corner.

By the way, I always enjoy how you spice up the thread humour and positivity that you radiate.

Prepare well again and give it a shot. Cheers
Mamajaz is a phenomenal woman with a sweet personality. Her determination is one in a million. I was privileged to meet and travel down to Ibadan with her for the PTE last friday (wifey was writing too). We all had a wonderful time alongside Papajaz.

I am sure she will jump and pass this stage very soon.

In all, this has been a wonderful year and everyone on this thread has been part of it for me. I look forward to all our success stories.

Merry Christmas to everyone!!! wink

Please house, do you need any evidence if you don't want to claim points on any carrier episode based on experience. If YES, what form of evidence will suffice for career episodes based on 6 month undergraduate internship and one year NYSC.
Will appreciate your prompt responses pls.
Many thanks
If you must write an episode based on a work experience, you are required to provide evidences to back up your claim. The requirement for relevant skills assessment and work based career episodes are the same as far as EA is concerned. Reference letter from the workplace is the most important evidence to show and it must reflect the company's letterhead contact and address, your job description, hours per week and remuneration. Your statement of account showing income stream from the workplace + offer letter+ payslip+any other HR documents you can lay your hands on.

If you cannot meet up with this, I advise you work on your school projects, seminars, SIWES etc. they do not require evidences other than your transcript and certificate.

OK..this news isn't new to my dem men..Bnimz and Jamson..But make I still share to lift spirits up.
.
A lot has happened in the last 10 days. I took the PTE-A on the 7th and got the result on the 8th as L/S/R/W: 83/72/87/90. I needed 79+ in all for 20points, so had to take it again. I booked again that same day to take it again on the 13th.
On the morning of 13th EA outcome dropped positive for Electronics engineer. I then went for PTE same day and today, 17th, the result is out..L/S/R/W: 90/81/89/90....It all feels good!!......60 points in the bag...EOI already submitted... ITA loading.....
I am yet to see a young man as focused and diligent as Mctowel01. Took his disappointment in his stride, took advantage of the anger inside of him and struck again but this time, did not spare the bull's eye.

Congratulations, main man. In the great Bnimz's PTE voice, I say, "Konfaam"

Good morning house. We submitted our CDR (fast track) to EA since 29th Nov and as at this moment, its still showing 'queued for assessment' not even 'In progress'. We are really running out of patience. What could be the reason for this delay??
True talk. Na to relax Oo. Today is actually your 14th working day after submission. Wait till Monday, your 15th, and put a call across to them. Take note of the difference in timezone when calling. Best time should be anything after 11pm Nigerian time.

Using a final year's project as one of the career episodes, how do I get the organizational structure that would hightlight my position in this very episode as stipulated in the MSA booklet?.....since is a school.....thanks

Finally writing my career episodes with my final year's project, The job I did for almost a year ( just offer letter and a months payslip as evidence) and my present job( offer letter and like 6months payslip as evidence) ....my question is what can I present as an evidence for my final year's project)?
Career episodes based on final year projects require no evidence other than your degree certificate and transcript. Please add your statement of account showing your salary inflow to support the work based episodes. Tax receipts and/or pension statements will suffice in addition or in place of the account statement.

I am about to submit mine too to engineers Australia.

Are you referring to the one that departments usually give students during final year clearance immediately before NYSC or those collected in each semester?

Could you please reply asap?
Your transcript is a single document containing all your registered and completed courses from start to finish of your degree program. This list must contain your grades as well and in most cases signed and stamped by the registrar of your institution. If you are not sure of what you currently have with you, then let somebody in the house look at it for you. EA is currently not considering fast track application due to the holidays, so there is no need to hurriedly submit your application if you are not sure of having a complete documentation.
