Ok! Here we go with the second part!

WHAT THE MAN REALLY IS.

From the story of Taiye and Kehinde you'd notice that the male has been made to ACT so as to be accepted as a man but is that what he truly is? NO! The man is an emotional being, yeah weird as it may sound that's the true. He wants to express his thoughts but is always afraid of the negative response he will get so he rather hold that thought to himself unlike the woman who was trained into shielding her thoughts and emotions.

Any man just like you babe wishes to be pampered but will never make it known because the SOCIETY will see him as weak. Once a man is being seen as weak it pricks his ego. An ego he has toiled many years to build and because he don't want such to happen he keeps his wishes, dreams, thoughts and emotions to himself so that he will be SEEN as a MAN. But that is not who he truly is! He is a human being just like you who loves praises, care, and petting. A man can cry! He got tears in him but the society have made him seem a block who should not cry as the woman do. The man wishes he can cry. These are things I have learnt from men I interview over the years of my profession.

Whenever I counsel men, I penetrate their psychology (My book will show you how I do this) make them feel at ease with me and make them see me the way they see their fellow men. This I do by deflating their ego subtly and before long you'll see him get all emotional and speak openly things he felt is not right for his to say. Over a hundred men have cried before me during a counseling session so I know what am saying when I tell you that men are not really what they seem. It only takes you to master the art of penetrating his psychology and gently deflate his ego and you'd see the man behind the mask. You've got a role to play sister!

Biologically, men have greater upper body strenght than women(womens muscle mass is less).This is as a result of testosterone-induced muscular hypertrophy.Men have stronger bones,tendons and ligaments.This makes them engage in rigorous tasks more than women.....You see the reason for such expectation.

*Clearing a space to pitch my tent* Yea yea,I can totally relate to the stories cited.Only yesterday,I told my 6 y rold nephew to stop crying,be a man.Lol.Really he needed to stop it,cos he's started acting like a girl(crying is a girly stuff.Crying to be heard or get attention.Now who said that?Not me!).Crying at every little thing.Makes me wonder if he can stand and be the man he ought to be-tomorrow.

Hope we don't derail the purpose of this thread with arguements.Aside the reference to Biblical teachings-God created man first,made him the head.The reason why society has buried the gender expectations into us is because of our biological distributions.My view.The physical distribution in men makes society apportion some expected behaviours from them.

Well written,op.A married and single life is sooo different.Marriage comes with an added responsibility.A woman no longer has herself to take care of alone,but her husband and home.And when the kids start coming,her attention is also shifted to the kids.Most times,she will wave aside a hair appointment because she has to wash the kids cloth.Other times,she will even forget that she needs new clothes.If a woman becomes too busy with the home,the husband should step up and help her take care of herself....

Get her stuffs to look good and take care of her the way you want her to look in your eyes.....However,all these are not an excuse to become lackadiasical about your looks as a woman.Look good while the kids are coming and men shouldn't expect some women to still become the woman with the hour glass figure they got married to.It's natural for some women,not all,to change(physically) after birth.In all these,all hands should be on deck-man and wife.

Someone dropped this scriptural verse-Heb10:26-31,there.Armed with curiousity,I searched and read it,then I saw this post on Heb10:26 interpretation.......We read and interprete scriptures wrongly,most times out of context.Paul's post on how to read the Bible, mirrors how people read it.Like He said,people should read the Bible in light of Jesus and His finished work.Again,they should know who the particular verse is referring to before interpreting.

Which is ironic when you consider the amount of influence art forms have on the world. Be it dance, a novel, film, or music.

It’s often not until later in life when a person can gather the courage to finally remove the mask they're been expected to wear, and pursue the interests stirring their souls.

Not every creative experiences breakout success at a young age; some even don’t gain recognition until very late in life when they fully embrace their interests, and others not even until after they're dead.

Regardless of what people say, the act of writing is all a matter of perception either way. That includes this post. It is just me reflecting my perception of writers and writing.

Don't buy into the idea that "a writer writes because he MUST". That's like saying lawyers become lawyers because they like to argue. Some become lawyers because they want to fight injustice, and some because they think it's an exciting career pursue. Same goes for writers.

Writers write because they want to. Because they believe they have something to share, so they put it out there for the world to see; in one form or another.

When something is important to you, you do it even when the odds are against you.
