it will never ask you for that. However if you were to upgrade to ios 7 and the find my phone option of

activation lock is ticked automatically or by you, the next time you restore your iphone, you will be asked

for the apple id or to make things easier to understand, your icloud account. this, you would have to provide

to proceed to activation.


Back in the days of ios 4, 5 and 6 betas, apple required you to have a developers account to be able to install betas.

This isnt the case for now. And there is a chance that since ios7 is launching septemberish , then they would probably be

no form of protection in terms of who installs what or not. Hope this is clear enough..

bluebarz: You're not the only one oh. Am facing the same issue right now as I type. I installed chain fire 3d pro on my F7 and it never rebooted past the boot logo (Tecno) screen. I have tried series of tutorials and mods on d net but I think it only made the fone worse as the fone no longer even comes on, but charges and shows the charging icon, I can't even access Reacovery anymore. Pls help, is there a way around this basically for Tecno F7 and not just a general procedure for MT6577 devices? I forgot to add that I evenb downloaded a Jelly bean 4.1.2 Rom of abt 348mb to try as an update.zip file and it didn't work. Pls help

seunpayne: f7 doesnt have fastboot...it uses a uboot partition. which means you will need a system to flash anything into it. until we manage to port either cwm, twrp into the recovery that is the only available option

too boot into uboot, press and hold the power button and the volume up button. its written in Chinese however. i do know that the last option is to reboot the device, the first is to display the phone info. the third would boot the device after a hard reset...not sure sha...either the third or the fourth. since u already have a boot loop u really have nothing to lose.
if you need the rom sha...i will try to see if i can upload the whole thing tomorrow.

abbeyseto: guys, yawa don gas o!!! After i rooted my f7, i was feeling fly so i decided to do some tweeking, i saw an app called "chainfire 3D" after installing and granting SuperUser acess, the app notified me to install some drivers which i did and i was prompted to reboot and that was it!!! my phone got stuck at the "tecno" screen at boot. it didn't even get to animation part.
I even treid factory reset from "Android recovery system", for where no improvement.

so guys beware!!! watch out for that app.

i need help to resolve this issue. ANY ANDROID GURU, ABEG HELP MY CONDITION.

A.CREATE A FOLDER ON THE DESKTOP AND NAME IT TECNO ........1
B.EXTRACT ALL ZIP FILES TO THE FOLDER...........................................2
C.COPY BOTH SCATTERFILE AND CMW TO THE FOLDER.....................3
D.OPEN THE SPTOOL AND DOUBLE CLICK ON FLASH TOOL..............4
E. CLICK ON SCATTER FILE. LOCATE THE SCATTER FILE"MT6575SCATTERFILE" ON THE FOLDER TECNO
F. DOUBLE CLICK ON IT TO SELECT
G. REMOVE THE BATTERY AND CONNECT THE PHONE USING USB CABLE
H. INSTALL THE USB DRIVER AND PRELOADER VCOM DRIVER
I. PUT THE BATTERY BACK. THE COMPUTER WILL INSTALL THE VCOM DRIVER
J. GO TO THE SPFLASH TOOL AND DOUBLE CLICK ON RECOVERY. LOCATE THE RECOVERY IMAGE "TECNOCWM.IMG" AND DOUBLECLICK IT.
K. REMOVE THE BATTERY AND SELECT DOWNLOAD. CLICK ON YES AND PUT THE BATTERY BACK.

WAIT TILL YOU SEE A GREEN CIRCLE. THATS ALL
REMOVE BATTERY AND INSERT.
press the power button when the phone vibrate, release the power button and quickly press the vol down for 15sec or less.
if successful clockworkmod logo will appear.

muammil: Tecno D5,D3,B3 has what is called MEDIATEK PROCESSOR thats why rooting such devices aint easy.

i have created a cmwrecovery for this phones and i will upload them soon. you need the cmw recovery to root this devices without it, no way for now bt dnt know in future. for more help on how to go about mail me: muammil2@gmail.com
