candy: Justice in form of settlement is not such a bad idea. Police brutality needs to be curbed in naija. Justice will be to imprison the police guy and sack the dpo with no Benefits. Settlement is like paying the couples to keep quiet. Awareness needs to be created on police brutality in Nigeria to avoid future cases. Just like what happened recently in the US |

Not everyone who is not into agric is less imaginative, you displayed crass sophistry there. Rather than this unseemly disposition, why not marshal your efforts towards achieving the objectives of the scheme? Do not take this as a form of derision, rather try and be less malignant in trying to drive home your points. I wish you luck and keep up the wonderful work. You made a good point. Buhari and apc just used their hands to hand jonathan and pdp the presidency of 2015. What happened to Oshiomole, Fashola and the more popular/credible candidates. Sorry is his name. This is the same thinh he did last time out when he chose tunde bakare as running mate. Now, all Jonathan needs to do is remove the egghead sambo and put somebody with more charisma and he'll win |

Crime › Re: ‘I Bought Human Head In Cotonou For N12,500’- Suspect by jasper7(m): 10:43am On Dec 17, 2014 |
lalasticlala: A suspected human parts’ merchant, Olorunto Dipe (35), has been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
He reportedly confessed that he bought a human head for N12,500 from Cotonou, Benin Republic, with intention to sell it for N20,000.
A police source said the suspect was arrested by a SARS decoy team led by Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of Police (SP), at Ajibawo in Atan-Ota, Ogun State, on October 22.
Olorunto said: “It was one Asiwaju at Ado Odo-Ota in Ogun State, who asked me to bring a human head. He said he would use it to cure me of leprosy. I went to Cotonou and bought it for N12,500 with intention of selling it for N20,000 to him. I was arrested with the head as I wanted to go and deliver it.”
Asiwaju was arrested and granted bail when he denied knowing Olorunto.
Olorunto is lamenting that Asiwaju denied him. He said: “If I am released, I will stop dealing in human heads. Please tell the police to forgive me; I will not do it again.”
http://thenationonlineng.net/new/bought-human-head-cotonou-n12500/ And the Asiwaju guy walks... all he'll do now is send more minions for more heads. That's why our crime rate escalates despite the number of arrests made. Why can't our police do some effin decent job? Set a meeting between Asiwaju and the other guy. Record the meeting. As soon as he receives the head from the suspect, swoop in and arrest him. But No! They have to arrest him first with no concrete evidence. The release him later. Smh for this country |

Lumyboi: Lol. Insulting pple online is nt so intelligent. I agree with u. Same with obasanjo n co. They were trained that way. However, shld we allow corruption to swallow us as a country? Just take a look at countries with less resources than Nigeria. A few pple here have so much money they don't knw ow much they v(m sure u knw that) while the majority of people wallow in poverty. Imagine ow much havoc the families of Tinubu , Atiku, iweala, obasanjo, saraki, bode George , otedola egret, Bmw woman and Jonathans tolerance for corruption have cosd our country in al aspects. Health, education, security and all. U know ow many pple die Frm all des? Abeg if anybody go come jail all of dem I dnt mind as long as dis corruption tin reduces. Even former militants are nw billionaires in Nigeria. Graduates full street with salaries of less than 100k afta 30days Like I always say, I won't vote Jonathan. Firstly, because I don't like him and his fisherman hat. And secondly, because he doesn't have a credible running mate. If Jonathan puts Fashola (for instance) or Akpabio as running mate. I'll vote him. Buhari for now, seems a lesser evil than Jonathan. But he's not a saint and he's not the answer to Nigeria's problem. We will vote him because we feel he will do less harm than Jonathan. And not because he will do good. Whoever is expecting Buhari to do good is just lying to himself. We have to at least be able to tell ourselves the truth. |

Lumyboi: If u were nt alive when Buhari ruled Nigeria, it's not too much for you to read online or from books that are basically history n unbiased as to form your conclusion. U can't listen to a biased opposition and start forming impression or knowing from that. Nigerian politics is so dirty any1 can say anything. Do urself some good by educating urself. U wnt lose a tin. Buhari might not be an ideal president for me for reasons such as age and the fact that I dislike politicians like Tinubu and Atiku a lot, however when it comes to bn ready to fight corruption either bn too crude or diplomatic, u can't compare him to dis clown of a president we have. Ur vote is ur right, it's not rili my bizz who u vote for. It's our country so we r in it together. U can even vote for Bmw bulletproof car woman....tnks Intelligent comment. You were just bordering the line of insult. But ThankGod you didn't cross it. Anywaez, Buhari might not be corrupt but he sure holds no value to human lives. You can take it or leave it. Too many incidents during his prior regime. But in fairness to him, it was the same with most military regime. |

Pavore9: l believe when the crowding option where farmers of similar produce aggregate their harvest (same quality across board) as an entity they can negotiate a good price.
Here in Kenya, diary farmers are in co-operatives which negotiates the prices of their milk with milk processing plants. their are some co-operatives that collectively aggregates 40,000 litres of milk before 6.30a.m every morning which milk processing plants come and up and a designated centre and in the evening they come pick another 15,000 litres. The milk processing companies buy from them for between N65-N80 per litre, then we the final consumer get it at the milk dispensing machine for N130.
Consistency and quality is the keyword. Good, quality and consistency. 2 major keys to success. I see ur point sir. Brilliant one once again |
Agriculture › Re: Let Us Talk Marketing! by jasper7(op): 11:16pm On Dec 16, 2014 |
Pavore9: Let me give an idea which has worked very well for others in another sector.
l know you have access to produce in the rural areas and Lagos is the market focus. Make out rime to visit www.vconnect.com and search for catering companies, restaurants in different areas of Lagos. They maybe over a thousand take out time to copy out the mobile phones of these contacts and do a bulksms to them offering to supply them fresh farm produce of good quality at a price that cuts off the middlemen in Mile 12.
Alternatively you can get in touch with vconnec, they can bulksms on your behalf without you bothering yourself to search. For example you can tell them you want them to send to catering companies/restaurants in specific areas e.g lkeja, Surulere, Yaba etc. l recall t costs about N3 per sms.
Be courageous and cast your net, then await the catch. Brilliant idea. Added that to my notepad. We need more rural farmers with up to standardize products. For me, greatest challenge is the continuity. |

May she achieve her goals Nyong'o's dream was not to be a supermodel. Even if it was, she is not living that dream. There arare prerequisites for every dream. If you want to be a supermodel you must be fine. If you want to be a musician, you must know how to sing and so on. She can be a celebrity on future. But for now, she's not news worthy at all. Maybe if she was like the prettiest thing, or homeless or an orphan, then we'd see why. Alot of gals have dreams of being supermodels but they are not on fp. |
