These are pictures from my last set. Cucumber lasts for about 70 days, although this my differ in specie but averagely between time of planting and the time it dries off is about 3months. So in order to maintain supply round the year, I plant in sets. This is the set that will give way for the new set that is just coming up. My next post will be on the factors that affect maximum production.

Obascoetubi:Your choice... you were not forced here. Your belief is not important, am not a religion that needs belief to survive. Those that will benefit from the thread will and those that will add to my life and business will. I need ideas and innovation, not belief. Thanks. |
First of all, this is 1 hectare of land, by the special grace of God, this land produced a gross profit of 1million in 2 months. This is when the land was in preparation stage. The process is tedious and highly meticulous and alot of factors come to play gere in making such profit. And that is what I am here to explain

Well, I have been postponing this for a while, just because I dont believe in "internet farming". But I feel the need to encourage other Nigerian youths out there who want to venture into agribusiness. Came back to Nigeria after University studies to invest in my country, it has not been easy so far to farm in Nigeria. The challenges have been enormous but *in Lil Wayne's voice* "we doing aite". If I start my story, the epistle will be too long, so... I'll just get straight to the point. I am a vegetable farmer. And farm majorly cucumber. I am pro-organic farming (it's very expensive in Nigeria). I employ technologies from around the world (especially thailand) that suit our climate and culture. I've been into this for quite a while now. Decided to upload pictures of how I plant and the agronomy I employ in my cucumber farming. To get more ideas from the pros here and to excite the intending farmers. Just follow up |
Oya! See them. Oppressors of the young hard working ones. It is well |
OohMpa:Lol.... dude you're phornie ![]() |
See everybody bashing Amaechi. Was he that poor for Rivers state? |
Interesting... but such farming is only profitable if done in large scale. |
Animals!! What manner of leadership do we encourage in this country ![]() |
clevvermind:Yep |

It's all about the 3B's. BLACK, BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL. Daz all |
Mondisweets:This is not a gender war, try reading meaning into that comment. We are all our worst enemies. Na we do ourselves. So we should quit blaming men, or satan, or God, or evil spirits or GEJ or APC. The only way to improve our lives is by improving ourselves |
Ifeoluuwa:Best comment I've ever read on Nairaland. Your head is there and your wisdom is deep. If not for my busy nature, I would have sad I'd like to know you |
Children of nowadays don spoil finish . Back in the day, if you are ever caught or even close to being caught. Your end would have automatically come. You must learn the art of concealing love in public places o. We used to have special places for such activities. ![]() |
lomaxx:Lol. U cracked me up. Been laffin since ![]() |
Interested, want to diversify my agric.... send me an e-mail on jasperchidera@yahoo.com |
Very very true |
The only legacy that one is leaving behind for the good people of Abia is high level if incompetence |
goofyone:I better not say anything else |
The evil spirit wey dey pusg d guy no be here... hope he finds what he's looking for on the other side ![]() |
englishmart:Don't mind sone people making unrealistic and unreasonable comments ![]() |
We don hear |
goofyone:What are you saying? Do you know what it takes to bear a child? Or what the mother passed through to send him to france? The good things she had to deny herself so that her son can play football? Now that he has money he thinks buying a house and a car is compensation. She's not asking for a house in banana island, she just said he should pay her bills now she is old and unable to work. Tell me what is wrong in that? |
Above every other thing money can't buy, I think common sense tops that list... what kinda person makes such statements on national radio? |
Flavour is good for it. His music dey sweet. And the news is kinda misleading. The one million copies sold doesn't necessarily mean 1 million individuals have bought the album. 1 distributor could have bought 200k copies, spread among 5 major distributors and 1million is gone. So... the story can be very true |
2015 no far |
