Three (3) bedroom apartment to be available(January)in the mature upscale neighborhood of Blue Quill, Edmonton.

The apartment is a 9 mins walk to the Century Park LRT station and has very close bus stop access.

There is a catholic school and a public school within a 700m distance. Other attractions include - 2 daycares, shopping mall, a clinic, 2 dental clinics, a pharmacy, many restaurants, 2 convenience stores and 2 gas stations are within 200m of the house.

The rent is holy and contains water and heating. The apartment has stainless steel appliances and nice neighbors ✌

To those that got married after AOR. Please I have these questions.
1. If I want to upload additional funds for spouse, can I just fix it for three months since my application will be almost three months by then.
2. Am thinking of adding spouse after PPR mail, is that a good strategy? As anyone done this successfully.
3. Like how long will it take to finalise spouse application when added.

Thanks

I will answer just number 2 and others with experience on spouse inclusion will say their bit.

DO NOT withhold info from cic cos it will backfire, if u get married before ppr inform them immediately, waiting till after ppr can lead to withdrawal of your visa cos ur wedding date will show u got married before the issuance of the visa.

This I know cos it happened to someone.

If u want to include after ppr, wait till u get the mail then u can fix ur wedding at a later date, goodluck!!!

I was in a similar situation before we eventually submitted. Firstly, understand that people have different risk appetite and in our own case the person said he can't risk all they have worked for in Canada by sending us a copy of his PR card, he said he is scared of it being intercepted and used for fraudulent activity.. We were not his concern but rather the insecurity that comes with sending such a document via internet.

Here is what we eventually did, we sent him the copy of our own proof of relationship and told him to merge with his, of course sent him the details required. After which we sent him our login details so he could upload directly from his end and we submitted the next day. Of course u can always change ur password afterwards.. Dont forget that once a document is uploaded, u can't view same document on the CIC platform so that takes care of the persons fear.

If you offer your relative this suggestion and he still insists he won't upload, then let him be, just do an LOE. Please dont let that affect ur relationship with him though and don't take it personal, its his legal document and he has the duty of care.

Dont waste ur time abusing the person cos u may also feel reluctant when u get there and understand how people can clone PR cards.

When did you get AOR?

May 5th
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by jassymama: 7:56am On Jun 30, 2017
Hello everyone, I submitted my application on may 5, and I haven't passed medicals yet meanwhile I see they have reached May 23rd for medical passed.

Can I call IRCC to enquire about my application?

Has anybody had cause to call them enquiring about their application? Was there any immediate action after the call?

I'm really worried that my date was skipped. I'm curious to know why.

I don't think so cos I saw this on British Council Site:

Enquiry On Result

If you are not happy with your IELTS score, you can apply for an Enquiry on Results Service (EOR) through the IELTS Administrator at the British Council centre where you sat for your exam. The cost for Standard IELTS remark is NGN15,000 payable by Banker's draft addressed to British Council. You will also need to fill the EOR form at our office (available at Downloads section below) and submit your original Test Report Form.

How do I submit original Test Report Form if i haven't collected it?

You can go try then

During the remark cn the score be reduced again? I just need this listening to move frm current position of 7.5 to 8..... I am ok with the rest. How cn 0.5 be denying me ITA fa undecided

You've signed for the result, therefore u agreed to the scores. u can't ask for a remark again

Got my ECA from IQAS today. It took just 9 working days! smiley

Chei! Congratulations. My transcript just got delivered to iqas today. So I have to wait like 5 days for them to confirm receipt.

Did they send a mail to unilag for confirmation? If yes, how did u follow up on them responding asap.

I hope I would have good news soon too.

Officially signing in as a member of this thread and casting off my monitoring spirit cape.

Thanks to Zandora who started the thread and everyone who has been contributing so far, (we'll miss you Dupsyshoo!) I have no questions at this time. You guys have been amazing.

IELTS results came in today and I'm super excited!
Listening: 8.5
Reading: 9.0
Writing: 7.5
Speaking: 7.5

Waiting for UNILAG to gimme my certificate o, still not ready and I'm using IQAS for the evaluation so I must provide a copy.
Anyways, proceeded with the transcript request. I believe all things will fall into place in God's own time.

Just wanted to check in. Will try to be more regular.

I think u can use attestation, there is no harm in trying instead of waiting indefinitely.

Thanks for the responses everyone. IQAS has now sent an email acknowledgement.

Please when did the school send ur transcript and which did they acknowledge receipt of? Your transcriot or the ones u faxed. And what was the time frame of them informing you.

so, you think my score of 8 needs to be higher?

A break down of your scores will enable one know if u need to rewrite. But an overall of 8 is fine. Other ways to garner points is from urr spouse'ielts or cert evaluation of a higher degree if married

Hi 7 and 7.5 in reading and speaking seems ok its listening that you need 8.
that aside reading is subjective your scores will always be your score as its based on a marking scheme..same with listening.

writing and speaking are non-subjective and marks can be given at discretion..so summary it makes sense to only review speaking..but i could be wrong ..never did this process but u have to do so asap

I got 8.5 in listening. So I guess I would just accept my scores. Thanks
