U are doing the right thing, but make sure u did that with the help of a lawyer. Don't just give him the money and collect the land, as it may cause a problem in the future. But with the help of a lawyer who will sign on your behalf you are covered.

Find out if he has more lands to sell buy them all if u can. Don't listen to all the negative advice here. You are doing the right time my bro

Op better run and carry your lawyer to your house to meet your dad and sign. Pay for the land, fence then develop it.

Nobody can tell you anything concerning that land later. When your dad bought it he didn’t carry your image in diapers in his mind while the cash exchanged hands. Believe it or not your father didn’t buy that land intending to leave it for you when he dies. Land is an asset, it’s traded either for for business or securities.

Like now, today, as you’re interested in buying this particular land from your dad ... are you carrying thoughts of leaving it bushy for decades so after you’re dead Bomboy can then inherit it?

Everyone that posted talking stuff about inheritance on this thread are selfish.
I love this your details and advice. How can I prevent him from reselling it to another buyer after I have bought the land.

lf your father sold 3 landed properties without giving u a dime, then his character is in question. sorry, but I have to be blunt, there's no guarantee that his needs will end with you buying that property, cos he can come for more, or might end up reselling same property to another person. so, here's what u do; put your dad on line that ur gonna buy the property, make sure other family members are made aware of ur transaction with ur dad, find someone who can buy the land at say double the price, get the land and resell immediately to ur customer, use ten million to get equivalent property nearby. This will eliminate any mischievous plan from ur dad or any other family members.wallah u got ur ten million back.
This is one of the best solution I would consider! What if I go with a lawyer to get all the necessary documents from him. Would that prevent this from happening?

Even if he has a ready buyer, a whole lot can between the time of buying and reselling. The story at the end of the day may be that he sold a family property.

Except he has the strength for polygamous family wahala, he should just find other business to invest in.
I love this your idea. Please can you give me more enlightenment on this? This is actually what I want to do, that's reselling it ehn?

A lawyer that would sign on my behalf. The agreement is based on 10million naira. My plan is to develop the land myself or resell it at 25million naira. What do see to this?

Its illogical and irrational for him to sell it to you bcuz of the outstanding 10million he is likely to loss out or forfeit in the likelihood of him getting a potential buyer to the tune of 20million

10million is a lot of money to loss out on.. I suggest u let him sell it out for 20million if he has a buyer

He has no buyer yet. He only told me he wants to sell it for 20milliom. And I told him I would bring a lawyer for him to sign the necessary documents.

Are you going into a business contract, or is it family contract?

In other words...why would you pay to get your inheritance?

Moreover, what does he need the money for? It sounds like its the only land in his possession. Why sell land to raise money? You can afford 10million for the land, why not loan your father the money?

He has about five landed properties. He has sold three without giving any dime to me. I heard he want to sell this one(land) again. I am afraid to loan him money because the money gotten from the three properties he sold was not properly managed. I think he is actually jazz because he couldn't account for the money.

I decided to help him indirectly by buying the land from him. I know he would still sell the land even if I loan him. Please what is your kindly advice.

My father has a land. He wants to sell it for 20million. But, I told him to sell it to me for 10million. He agreed to sell it for me. Is it right? What is your suggestions.

Wetin oyinbo dey call data type

The name of the container wey we take dey store things na wetin oyinbo dey call "Data type". The container we take dey store things dey two.
the first one na the container wey fit store one thing at a time. Onyinbo dey call am "Primitive Data Type".The second one na the container wey fit store more than one thing.Oyinbo dey call the second "Reference Data Type".We go talk about this one later.The one wey fit store only one thing at time be eight.Na 8 container name na we get for java wey dey first category. All the container get there own name. Make I tell you wetin dem fit do;

Chukwudi: I beg javaMan2346 make we know wetin be there name.

JavaMan2346: Chukwudi,you see as Nigeria get name na so this container get there name. There name na "int","short","byte","long","float","double","boolean" and "char".

Chukwudi: Wetin dem dey do.

javaMan2346:My friend, for java we dey use the container to store something.The something, Oyinbo dey call am "Values".

for normal society, you no fit see human leaves inside holes, you no fit see man go inside woman toilet. Na so this container get name so that you don't put something meant for goat for human.Wetin i mean be say, you no fit store inside a container wey suppose hold numbers,come give am letters. Java no gree make you put something wey be letters for number containers.

Format of writing your first Java program
Before we continue for data type(container name) matter, I want make you know about the following koko.

Koko 1: All wetin you write for java must be inside a house. I mean say all wetin you go write or do for java must dey inside a house wey oyinbo dey call "BLOCK".

Koko 2: Java get many house. To build house for java, you go use "{}". Java get the biggest house. All other small must dey inside this house. To create the biggest house, we dey use java word we dey java dictionary wey oyinbo dey call "Keyword". The keyword na "class" or "public class".

Example: class className { Na inside this house other small house go dey }

koko 3: all the house must get a name. Na only the biggest house fit have "class" or "public class" keyword.

Example: class NigeriaBank { Na inside this house other small house go dey }
for the above the house name na "NigeriaBank". Na so all the biggest house dey get Name. if you no put "class" or "public class" at the back "NigeriaBank", java no go undertand the kind house wey you dey build.

koko 4: All java must get the central door for the owner(JVM) of the house to waka enter every rooms for your house.No forget say all the small houses(rooms) must dey inside the biggest house. To build the door for the owner, we dey use
public static void main(String[] args){the mighty door opens}

Summary format for beginner

public class NigerianBank{ public static void main(String[] args){ the mighty door inside the biggest house named NigeriaBank} }

For the next time wey i go show here, we go dey talk about more about data type and the mighty java door.

JAVA DATA TYPES AND BRIEF PRINCIPLES OF OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING
before we continue the matter for java make we first talk about wetin object oriented be. object oriented language na the language wey dem use human be character take write.Wetin i mean be say na the language wey take almost the character of animals or human being for consideration. For Human being we get Class(e.g Rich or Poor) na so object oriented self take get class.Human being fit hid the way him take dey runs things na so object oriented dey hide the way him take do some of him thing.Na when you hid the wey you take do your thing, for object oriented we dey call am "Abstraction".If you born pikin, and your color come be black. Your pikin fit resumble you make get him your own color or your granny color. We say your pikin don take after you or your pikin get wetin you self get. 1.Abstraction(functional hiding).
2.Inheritance(Data extension).
3.Polymorphism(Object in many forms);

Reach like this as how? The barrier to learning anything in the world is first the language of communication. Nigeria yardstick is not for the world.You're too proud of this your c#. Java still remains the no.1 programming language in the world. How secured is c# to java? Can you answer that?

By the way, I intended to communicate java to Nigerian in the pidgin. To the best of my understanding, pidgin helps to remove a bit of all the junks of big English words in java to the simplest. I could teach java in whatever language my Nigerian people and I understood.

Programming / Re: Sending Sms Using Asp.net (c#) Through Http by javaMan2346: 8:21pm On Sep 30, 2018
hsmith467330s:
Hi all,

I found this source code at http://www.ozekisms.com and I am wondering whether this code might really work of I want to send an SMS message to the given phone number with the given content.

The source code of the example application is structured in the following way:

smssend.aspx:
In this file there are page builder asp elements (text boxes, labels, etc.).

smssend.aspx.cs:
Page_Load(...): does some basic settings.
buttonSendOnClick(...): creates and sends the sms from the given data.

Description of the process depicted in Figure 1 above:

Step 1: Create the HTML form
In the smssend.aspx file, you create the form that requests the sms data. The Internet user fills in the necessaries. Label and textbox pairs will be displayed. Labels identify the requested data for the Internet user, and they will type it in textboxes. The user will be asked to fill in the Recipient and Message text fields. A multiline textbox is used to inform the Internet user about error(s) or result(s) of sending the message. At first, the error box will be invisible (it will be set in the smssend.aspx.cs file).

smssend.aspx...
<form id="smsdata" runat="server">
<asp:Table id="smstable" runat="server" style="text-align:left; border-width:thin;
border-color:Silver;" BorderStyle="Solid">
<asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableCell ColumnSpan="2">
<b>Compose a message:</b>
<br />
<br />
</asp:TableCell>
</asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableCell HorizontalAlign="Left" VerticalAlign="Top">
<asp:Label ID="labelRecipient" runat="server" Text="Recipient: ">
</asp:Label>
</asp:TableCell>
<asp:TableCell>
<asp:TextBox ID="textboxRecipient" runat="server">
</asp:TextBox>
</asp:TableCell>
</asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableCell HorizontalAlign="Left" VerticalAlign="Top">
<asp:Label ID="labelMessage" runat="server" Text="Message Text: ">
</asp:Label>
</asp:TableCell>
<asp:TableCell>
<asp:TextBox ID="textboxMessage" runat="server" TextMode="MultiLine">
</asp:TextBox>
</asp:TableCell>
</asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableCell ColumnSpan="2" HorizontalAlign="Center">
<asp:Button ID="buttonSend" runat="server" Text="Send Message"
OnClick="buttonSendOnClick" />
</asp:TableCell>
</asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableRow>
<asp:TableCell ColumnSpan="2" HorizontalAlign="Center">
<asp:TextBox ID="textboxError" runat="server" BorderStyle="None"
TextMode="MultiLine"></asp:TextBox>
</asp:TableCell>
</asp:TableRow>
</asp:Table>
</form>
...

In the "protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)" procedure (in smssend.aspx.cs), you set the width of textboxes and the error box height in rows. The text of the error box is red, and the first is invisible and empty. If using the net browser the page is downloaded for the first time, fill in the recipient and message boxes with predefined texts.

smssend.aspx.cs...
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
textboxRecipient.Width = 400;
textboxMessage.Width = 450;
textboxMessage.Rows = 10;
textboxError.Width = 400;
textboxError.Rows = 5;

textboxError.ForeColor = System.Drawing.Color.Red;
textboxError.Visible = false;
textboxError.Text = "";

if (!Page.IsPostBack)
{
textboxRecipient.Text = "+441234567";
textboxMessage.Text = "Hello World!";
}
}
...

Step 2: Processing data coming from the HTML form
After filling in the fields and clicking the Send button , the ASP server receives the information about the form. In the smssend.aspx.cs file, the "protected void buttonSendOnClick(object sender, EventArgs e)" procedure is called. At the beginning of the procedure, check the data of the textbox fields. The Recipient box is mandatory. If it is empty, the processing will be aborted, and the Internet user will be shown the error. If the checking is successful, you will create the URL that will tell the Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server the requested information. We need the following: the URL of the computer running Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server the default URL is http://127.0.0.1/httpapi (127.0.0.1 means that Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server is installed on the same computer on which the ASP.NET script is running), the port number on which the server listens, the username, which is authorized to log in to the Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server and to send messages (the default username is admin), the user's password (the default is abc123), the message type (the default is SMS:TEXT), the recipient and the message data. The following values must be URL-encoded: username, password, recipient and message data.

smssend.aspx.cs...
protected void buttonSendOnClick(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//fields are required to be filled in:
if (textboxRecipient.Text == ""wink
{
textboxError.Text += "Recipient(s) field must not be empty!\n";
textboxError.Visible = true;
return;
}

//we are creating the necessary URL string:
string ozSURL = "http://127.0.0.1"; //where Ozeki NG SMS Gateway is running
string ozSPort = "9501"; //port number where Ozeki NG SMS Gateway is listening
string ozUser = HttpUtility.UrlEncode("admin"wink; //username for successful login
string ozPassw = HttpUtility.UrlEncode("abc123"wink; //user's password
string ozMessageType = "SMS:TEXT"; //type of message
string ozRecipients = HttpUtility.UrlEncode(textboxRecipient.Text); //who
will get the message
string ozMessageData = HttpUtility.UrlEncode(textboxMessage.Text); //body
of message

string createdURL = ozSURL + ":" + ozSPort + "/httpapi" +
"?action=sendMessage" +
"&username=" + ozUser +
"&password=" + ozPassw +
"&messageType=" + ozMessageType +
"&recipient=" + ozRecipients +
"&messageData=" + ozMessageData;
...
}
...

Step 3: Sending a request to the SMS Gateway and receiving the answer
In the code you send a request to the Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server with the data of the message. It will create an SMS and send it to the recipient (mobile user) using a GSM modem/phone (if the given data is correct) and send you the result.
You create a request to the Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server at the URL created above. When it is done, you will receive a response from the Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server. The information will be retrieved from it and shown to the Internet user. Whatever problem you have, it is because the Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server is not running at the moment of sending data.

smssend.aspx.cs...
protected void buttonSendOnClick(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
...
try
{
//Create the request and send data to Ozeki NG SMS Gateway Server by
HTTP connection
HttpWebRequest myReq = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(createdURL);

//Get response from Ozeki NG SMS Gateway Server and read the answer
HttpWebResponse myResp = (HttpWebResponse)myReq.GetResponse();
System.IO.StreamReader respStreamReader = new System.IO.StreamReader(myResp.GetResponseStream());
string responseString = respStreamReader.ReadToEnd();
respStreamReader.Close();
myResp.Close();

//inform the user
textboxError.Text = responseString;
textboxError.Visible = true;
}
catch (Exception)
{
//if sending request or getting response is not successful, Ozeki NG - SMS Gateway Server may not be running
textboxError.Text = "Ozeki NG SMS Gateway Server is not running!";
textboxError.Visible = true;
}
}
...
Thank you for your time and answer
H.

You could do all this process with not too long lines of code with java. Should I tell you how to do it in java? Or you are only interested in c# which is not secured as java?

I want to learn all.
Plus cyber security and ethical hacking I know I can learn it on my own through self teaching. But the certificate is also important after having being a fake uni student for three years.
If you said you want to it learn all, then you have move a step at a time. You can't learn all at the same time. Back to your statement now, you can always get your certification through any mode other than the four wall of a school. You would equally teach yourself even if you go to any of those IT schools...For example, I got my first and second oracle java certificate without going to any of these schools. And here am I working an IT industry... KISS the truth man!!!
