I blame it on the media we have thousands of expats in the country not forgetting the UN hq, Hundreds of Multinational in the country plus millions of tourist since indepence but they will never portray the good side..

This is across africa Nija is not an exception, Nija will trend on CNN for day when Boko haram trikes but will hardly feature Eco Atlantic progress... same to Al shabaab in Kenya.

Many Africans in general are not really interested in world affairs.

You cannot miss a nigerian in Nairobi... Most of foreigners before visiting Kenya they are usually with the mentality of Wildlife and Marathoners... Most of them get shocked when they land here..

I believe the two cities play the same role in each country.

Ph is the Oil city while Mombasa is the tourist city.
They both have sea line
Population wise they do not have abig difference though ph has an advantage.
They both have a port.

We can play around that.

I have observed that most Nigerians who travel to Ghana and other African nations to hussle are usually from Delta, Edo and South-east.
Lagosians and others hardly travel to other African countries to hussle, except maybe for schooling.

So Nairobi's gdp is about a third of the whole of Kenya's gdp?A lot is wrong with Africa.I really believe that poverty in Africa is more of a rural issue than urban.If we could provide basic amenities in our rural areas,what would so many people be doing in the cities?This will reduce poverty drastically.

Nop Kenyas GDP is 75billion and Nairobi GDP is 40% of that
