zheroes: it wasn't cleared because they thought it was GEJ where everyone get waivers at the expense of the government!! The only wrong here was failure to disclose it was for river state period!! Did you watch and listen to the video clip at all? Did you hear the Custom officer say they don't k ow the importer? In fairness, the Custom officer said that the consignment was legally seized and fortieted to the federal government because the 'impprter' did not meet the requirements of clearing it. That the customs did not mention the name and particulars of the importer does not mean the importer is unknown or is a ghost. It is ethical to just call the defaulter 'importer' instead of dishing out full particulars. The subject matter here is forfeiture of consignment and not the owner of the consignment. |

simpleseyi: Yes, GEJ is right. Dasuki did not steal $2.2 billion, GEJ actually gave Dansuki the money to share among the gang of looters.
He gave Obanikoro 4.3 billion naira just for Ekiti election. He gave Olu Fale 100 million naira just to support him. He gave Bafarawa 4.3 billion naira for spiritual purpose. He gave Jim Nwobodo 100 million naira for election even when Nwobodo does not work in INEC. He gave ex-convict Bode George 100 million naira to try and rig election in South West. Northern Elders Forum too got several hundreds of millions to bribe almajaris to vote for him. He gave Olisah Mentuh 450 million naira for doing nothing, the idiotic Olisa Metuh used the money to buy house in plantain sorry, I mean banana island. He gave Peter Odili 100 million naira for election manipulation. He gave FFK our gigolo brother 840 million naira for lies and lies on Buhari. He gave Raymon Dokpesi 2.1 billion naira for propaganda. Several Chiefs of Naval, Chiefs of Airforce, Chiefs of Army, even Chief of Boy' Scout shared several billions. Even our beloved mother in Christ, High Chief imPatience Mama Piss has 31 million dollars in one bank. The list is endless. Yet some nonentities still wonder why Buhari has not turned Nigeria to America and France combined in less than 2 years. That's just it Dasuki did not steal; he merely carried out instructions faithfully and dutifully. |

In a civilized country, dey are meant to go through courts, b4 thinking of sealing up anybodies property, even if the person is guilty or not guilty. This is not true. We should always bear in mind that in legal cases, personal opinions, like yours here, do not matter. It is what the laws say that is relevant. Of course, in this case, the law (efcc establishment act) - I will not quote the section here- empowers the efcc to seize any property that is subject to forfeiture under the efcc act under given circumstances, including but not limited to when the seizure is incidental to arrest or search. jmichlins: everyone is constructing rice mill but only few are cultivating rice. Without rice farms these rice mills will close down in no distant time and people will blame the government in power when the unfortunate will happen. You don't need the biggest rice mill in africa alone you need a corresponding biggest rice farm to balance it up. Congratulations for creating jobs but do well to secure those jobs NafeesaAA: That won't be a problem, the rice mill has the entire rice farms in Kano as its supply base. Jigawa state rice producing areas of Hadejia, Auyo, Kafin Hausa, and Jahun are less than 80km to Kano. Any surplus from Dangote will be utilized. @NafeesaAA I hope you are sure of what you are saying that the entire rice farms in Kano and parts of Jigawa state are the supply base of this firm. You should know that there are numerous small scale rice millers who have been in this business for long and they all source their paddy from the same markets. Also know that Dangote Rice mills too is competing for the same suppliers. I'm conversant with the rice value chain in Nigeria and I know the weakest link is the paddy supply. Do you know the tonnage required to keep these mills running optimally? I think @jmichlins have a valid point. I have seen smaller rice mills closed down for lack of paddy supply. I don't mean lack of money to pay the suppliers; they can't get the paddy to buy! |

JuliettaBitch: Elder statesman Tanko Yakasai, has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will lose the 2019 elections, if the exercise is free and fair.
The former presidential adviser in the Second Republic said Nigerians will vote out the government of the APC because the state of poverty and cost of living is on the increase.
“In my opinion, Nigerians will vote out APC in 2019 because they are complaining over the cost of living and the rate of poverty is on the increase. I don't see how APC will win if they don't manipulate the process,"
"How much was a dollar last year, how much is it now? What about the cost of bag of rice, basket of tomatoes and other. Farmers are complaining about fertilizers but it was not like this when PDP was in power," he said.
He said this when High Chief Raymond Dokpesi led members of his campaign team to his Kano residence to seek his support for the position of chairman of the PDP at the forthcoming national convention billed for Port Harcourt. again, CBN has failed in its regulatory duties.
when was the last audit carried out by CBN? who are their external auditors?
what about their annual accounts? why was it not probed before now to identify the bad loans, defaulters and also the recipients of these loans? who approved these loans? were these loans released in batches without any oversight to ensure that previous funds have been well utilised or just one transfer? what about the collateral for these loans?
who in CBN authorised the mergers/acquisitions? was'nt due dilligence carried out at the time to confirm if skye bank was indeed a suitable 'buyer'

Graduating with first class means you have the mental, emotional, intellectual and imaginative capacity to solve real-life problems, of which there are more than enough in Nigeria. Identify the ones that will fetch you money and start right away. This should be difficult for those that struggle to graduate, but fairly straight forward for those that aspired to graduate top of the class. |
