mybestlove:
The truth remains that the north is really disturbed with the situation at hand and, Nigeria is hanging on a thin thread which a small impact could bring it down. History is a good teacher and if neglected becomes detrimental. We are in a replica of the situations preceding the civil/Biafran war.
No reasonable person will take the north by their words. They are still the same people. Make hay while the sun shines. You can't dialogue with the north because they will agree with you and disagree behind you.
Any Igbo man who is in the north and is not making plans to vacate is a BIG FOOL. Don't let what happened to your people before the war happen to you.

1. Historically, the Ibos stir the hornet's nest with their loose tongues, hate speeches, empty threats and chest beating; and when they are stung, they cry blue murder, genocide, marginalisation, inequity, victimisation, exclusion, etc. They need to learn from history.

2. Agreed, you can't dialogue with the north; but did the north request dialogue with Ibos? Did the north travelled to southeast to seek dialogue? Did northerners in East beg for dialogue, or even unity? The north is very clear on its position.

3. It's left for the Ibos to decide what they want but they can't eat their cake and have it. They want to buy market, the north has enough to sell; what they sow, they must reap;

Do you know the cost of shipping this broom to its destination?

Please next time be careful not to use social media to destroy other people's businesses.

Well for those who see their kinsmen in the list and wants to glory, I can authoritatively say that the Igbo and SS have billionaires who can rival Dangote but you know, they are afraid to disclose their sources. I can't shy away from saying this.

But hmm! Will their children maintain their father's stead? Just thinking aloud.

All you are saying is that "the Igbo and SS billionaires who can rival Dangote" are criminals.

Travel / Re: Top 5 Ways To Conquer Long Queues At Nigerian Airports by jaybee(f): 7:37pm On Jun 03, 2017
Opinionated:
Long queues and delays are not new to commuters at the Nigerian airports. From the ticket stalls to the check-in counters and even canteens at the waiting area, travelers find themselves caught up in very long and slow queues which become not only intensely boring and monotonous as time rolls by but brings on aching feet.

The stress that comes with queuing has a tremendous impact on not just the travelers but on customer service as well. Usually, these unsatisfied travelers complain bitterly and even haul curses at the attendant at the counter with hope that it would spur them into working faster. Some even just leave the line all together for faster alternative moves.

If you are travelling via any of the Nigerian airports and you are dreading the seemingly inevitable long queues, relax! Jumia Travel has pulled together 5 tricks to help you deal with long queues and even possibly cut your way through to getting the service you desire in little or no time.

Take advantage of your unique situation

Nigeria as a nation has very high moral values and certain situations are duly regarded even in public places where such rule does not necessarily apply. If you are pregnant, old, sick, disabled or have a small child, you definitely have a unique situation that exempts you from queuing up for long hours like the others. Take advantage of your situation. Walk to the front of the line and let whoever is in charge in on your unique predicament and ask them politely to attend to you. It works all the time and the good thing is that others who have been waiting on the line will not complain for fear of looking disrespectful or lacking moral standards.

Make friends

The only thing worse than being trapped in a long stagnant queue, is standing alone in it. Even if you do not know the person in front of you or behind you, talk to them anyway. Strike up a conversation and mix up with the new people around you. You can start by sharing your grief over the long queue. Keep it light and infuse a sense of appropriate humor when you can. This comes in handy when you need to leave the line shortly to use the bathroom or just grad a snack. You are rest assured that your space in the line will be secured by your new friend.

Check-in online

Not all airlines in Nigeria have this option yet, however the giants, including Arik and Aero, have the option on their websites. Checking in online allows you to complete the entire pre-travelling transaction online. It saves you the stress of purchasing ticket over the counter and eventually having to queue for check-in afterwards.

Be vigilant

When you are standing in the queue, you need to be vigilant to know if anyone is cutting the line or someone is trying to bring a friend in without forfeiting his own space. Being on the lookout for these king of things ensure the line is not delayed any more than is necessary. Again, sometimes the line may move or some announcement concerning you might be made and with the loud noise in the airports, you might not be able to hear them, unless you are sharp.

Be patient

Sometimes, there really is nothing you can do about the long queues, there no alternatives, no hustling airport staff to help you speed up the process for a token, and you are just stuck. At times like this, it is important to stay patient and positive. Accept the situation, do not complain, just wait it out, keeping in mind that it will surely be a memory someday. Good thing is, you can distract yourself with food, drink, music or phone games.

One very important point: Go to the airport early. This will afford you enough time to relax, be stable, and avoid anxiety.

I beg to disagree.

You must make a distinction between education and certificates. Then properly define what education is, before making this unwarranted blanket statement.

As a hint, know that you can have many certificates without commensurate education(especially in Nigeria). That is why many degree holders are unemployable (can not add value to any business); and on the other hand many school cert holders are successful entrepreneurs, employing employable graduates and deciding thier salaries and wages.

Another hint, these players are highly educated at what they are doing (it is an art). Remember art and science in school ? - sports, drama, acting, comedy, literature, etc. ?

Hint, next time you hear about education, think of knowledge and skills, not necessarily certificates.

That's the average Nigerian for you.. and the same people are always quick to condemn our politicians but they fail to realise that corruption is engrained in the DNA of the average Nigerian.
It actually begins from home.
Some Students inflate the prices of textbooks and fees to their parents...
Some Wives inflate the cost of weekly or monthly feeding expenses to their husbands...
Some ordinary gatemen collect bribes just to let you in...
Some nannies collect bribes from parents to give special attention to their kids...
Some parents bribe admission officers for their children's admission...
Some ushers steal Sunday collections...
Most sales boys and girls steal from their work places on daily basis...
Most civil servants come to work by 10 am and sign in as 7.45am...
The list is Endless.
In Nigeria, everybody is looking for the shortest and quickest way to get extra one naira,no matter how rich or holy they may claim to be.
Until we try to tackle this menace from the bottom,we are only wasting out time fighting it from the top.

I agree with you completely. It is these same people at the bottom that eventually get to the top and continue with the inordinate, open, and brazen corruption, but, this time, at the commensurate level. The situation in Nigeria is actually gloomy and scary.

Yes, Jonathan failed to conquer the harsh terrain of Nigerian politics, agreed. But this is not his failure alone, it is the failure of all of us. Nigeria belongs to some people, that much we know and they dictate what happens in every government and are untouchable even in adverse governments. So the fact is that unlike in the UK or the US or other civilised countries, (which are also countries more powerful than Nigeria is or probably ever will be, given our failures of leadership and our inability to get our act together), an ordinary man like a former physics lecturer like Merkel or a former welfare recipient like Obama cannot emerge, build confidence and govern this country. In Nigeria, one has to be a member of the cabal or their person. Hence the corollary is that NO ORDINARY MAN can ever rule Nigeria, including you and I. So lets stp blaming Jonathan, and resign ourselves to the fact that our children and our children's children will be misgoverned ad infinitum by the powers that be in Nigeria.

I thought Jonathan was a teacher and a shoeless underprivileged man in the creeks of Otueke.
