FAQs:
How do I know the worker is really who they say they are?
Every worker on Discover has verified their real NIN, their government identity. It's not a name they just typed in; it's checked against the national identity database. On top of that, workers can add BVN, address, guarantor, references, and police clearance to build more trust. So the identity on the profile is genuinely theirs.

Can somebody just use another person's NIN to form somebody they're not?
No. A NIN can only be verified on one profile. Once it's used, it cannot be reused on another account. So nobody can borrow another person's identity to pass verification.

What is this trust score, and can workers just fake good reviews?
The trust score is a rating out of 100, built from references left by real employers after an actual hire, covering reliability, professionalism, communication, quality of work, and punctuality. And no, the reviews can't be faked. References only come from real paid connections tied to genuine hires, and the system flags and blocks funny business like self-reviews, reviews from linked phones, or people forming a small group to hype each other. A rating only counts when it's genuinely earned.

What if the hire still goes wrong?
VeraStaff verifies identity and shows you the trust signals so you can decide with your eyes open, but you should still do your own due diligence, the same way you would with anybody you're bringing into your home or onto your project. If a worker misbehaves, you can report the profile in the app and the team reviews it.

How much does it cost?

The payout frequency can currently be set to Daily, Weekly, Biweekly (every two weeks), or Monthly, so you already have those options available when creating a group.

You can add as many members as you like before the group is created. However, once the group has started, new members cannot be added to that cycle.

*Does ThriftVault hold my money?*

No. This is the most important thing to understand. ThriftVault does not collect, hold, or move your contributions. Your money moves exactly the way your group already does it, directly between members and the coordinator. ThriftVault is the record keeper: it tracks who paid, confirms payments, and shows whose turn it is to collect. Think of it as the exercise book and the referee, not the bank.

*So is it CBN approved? Are you holding funds?*

Because we don't hold or move funds, ThriftVault is not a deposit-taking or money-transfer service. It's a coordination and record-keeping tool. There's no pot of your money sitting with us for anyone to run away with, the money never touches us in the first place.

*What's the interest rate?*

There isn't one, and that's by design. ThriftVault is not a savings platform like Piggyvest or Cowrywise where you deposit money to earn interest. It's a different thing entirely: it's for groups already running ajo/esusu/susu who want to do it without the record-keeping wahala. We might be missing something, but there seems to be a disconnect between your conclusion and what the data you've provided shows when comparing the "Projection" columns to "Difference from April 2025 WEO Projections 1/" columns. Could you walk us through how you're interpreting yours?

If anything, the vanguard's editor made a contradictory error here => "The new forecast represents a 0.4 percentage point ~~decrease~~ from the 3.0 percent forecast of the IMF in April this year." It's actually an increase not a decrease

Like I said before, arguments are necessary for growth—they are not meant to denigrate.

If I make an assertion, argue with me—it's welcome. Attack me if you must—still welcome. I learn in the process and improve. I don’t know about you, but this is how I learn best.

Acknowledgments and praises add nothing to my current knowledge.

Fixation with being right makes you lose sight of the bigger picture. Arguments should be about learning and growth, not proving a point at someone else’s expense.

At the end of the day, investing isn’t an exact science, everyone has their own approach, and no one gets it right all the time. Calling out people’s different views over and over starts to look less like discussion and more like a witch hunt. People need space to think for themselves and take responsibility for their own decisions.

I believe staff of those companies can own shares BUT they can't trade them during the blackout period.

The movement is clearly due to Insider Trading and I've been involved in forensic analysis (mortgage rate manipulation) of such cases in the past here in the UK. In fact, it's kinda easy to detect such oddities and prosecute with hefty fines

As an example, working for one of the big 4 in a non audit role but holding a relatively high position, i basically can't own shares in companies we audit and the reason is simply because undue advantage as a potential result of having access to privilege info

The bolded was not explicitly stated but they indicated that NAOC (and a few others) was having an impact on the Group's Financials mainly because their partners AND NNPC were owing / not fulfilling their part of the agreement.
Some other reasons for their exit were also stated (see attached SC)...

May I also add that IOCs pay attention to work place ethics and working conditions.
They are compelled to pay premium insurance to get their staff to work in highly volatile areas/countries.

One of Eni’s oga at the top told me theft and cost of securing onshore assets was a great compounder of issues that necessitated the divestment
