konfused: Dude, I am not supporting Buhari, I am just amazed at those insulting GEJ and Okonjo without even taking time to read what transpired.
Everybody just ran away with the headline.
She was just detailing the opportunity cost of passing the 2015 budget but nobody read to understand what she was saying, they just saw 17billion and ran away with that. What does her summation “This became the price to pay to have the budget passed” mean to you Mr Educated Illetrate? Your deductive reasoning is Zero and you are here blabbing with so much authority |

TonyeBarcanista: Makarfi has no history of giving bribe as a public or private officer. He's a man of integrity though no one can vouch for any other person 100% but his antecedent points that he is of different breed.
Under his watch as President, it won't happen. Your caveat obviously cancelled your initial assertion. You do realise NOI hasn't been directly fingered as a participant in the looting but she is equally guilty for looking the other way. You are also corrupt if you look the other way and i'm pretty sure Makarfi (even if his integrity is intact) will do exactly the same. |
Politics › Re: We Paid NASS 17B Naira To Have 2015 Budget Passed.- Okonjo Iweala by jaybee3(m): 1:51pm On May 25, 2018 |
TonyeBarcanista: It is called bribery not lobbying.
Once there is an exchange of money to facilitate a public officer to do his job it is BRIBERY.
Lobbying has to do with advocating for interests as long as it isn't against the interests of the public and wouldn't involve monetary exchange to oil it.
For instance, NASS may insist that a certain project embarked on by NASS (renovations, empowerments etc) be factored in the budget before they will pass it. Thats lobbying... So let me guess, my Makarfi will hold PDP to ransom and this wouldn't happen under his watch? |

What’s the cost per KW? Renewable energy solutions are only cost efficient when they are add-ons
It’s still far cheaper to generate them using conventional energy sources |

madridguy: Presidency should release the original clip and let see. I'm sure you know videos are very easy to edit with basic apps floating on the net. All you need to do is trim the videos then merge them in preferential order. You can apply fade to the merge so it doesn't break during the merging process |

wagazala: I see your point. Another reason why you can’t disregard the feat achieved by ManU is: 2 of the losses suffered was in and around Champions league matches with Barcelona. First loss of the season was on the 20th of September (They drew 3-3 with Barcelona 4 days prior to the match) Second loss was on the 21st of November (They drew 3-3 with Barcelona 4 days after the loss) The only fluke loss was with Middlesbrough at home on the 19th of December which can be argued that SAF rotated players to handle the rigours of December period ManU must have been efficient with their 3 losses despite winning the big 3. It’s was almost unheard of being competitive on 3 fronts back in the days considering how squads weren’t dominated by international players |
Sports › Re: Which Of These Is The Best Ever English Premier League Team? by jaybee3(m): 11:30am On May 17, 2018 |
wagazala: I disagree. The question was rather simple, Best EPL team. At this point other trophies outside the EPL doesn't count. Your judgement should be based on achievements in the EPL eg wins, goals etc.
If the question were to be best team of the year, the local cups, foreign cups etc could come into consideration. The fact that he listed their achievements at the end of the season isn't a factor? Everything should be taken into consideration if you going to list 'em |

snowden9: Here's my own take : To all those non-indomie generation people like me that loved playing Mortal Kombat, you know the feeling you get after every 'Fatality' victory, it confirms that you weren't touched at all during the battle and I have to say, we all aimed towards achieving that feat whenever we played the game. You get where I'm going right? I guess so. Without much speech, the untouchable, undefeated, invincible, fatality team of Arsenal wins my vote.
1. Arsenal 2. Manchester City 3. Manchester United 4. Chelsea
Nairalanders, how about yours? Obviously biased judgement but nothing do you Not even going to waste time developing a methodology for ranking them but here is a clue. Winning a quality treble is definitely more difficult than going unbeaten |

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/01/2nd-niger-bridge-reps-grill-fashola-two-hours-2/amp/
The main excerpts from the news above is: - The Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing said that the early works were preliminary projects to be completed before the award of the main contract. - The main contract for building the bridge is not yet awarded. - The main project for the bridge will cost 210 billion but only 5.5bn was estimated for the project in the 2018 budget. - The main project contract has not been awarded and has no time line for now - The 2nd Niger Bridge will not be completed anytime soon. This is 2019 campaign stunts - Someone mentioned this in a thread last week but was thoroughly insulted. The FG has done well with roads construction in the SE. But as for this bridge, it is still a pipe dream. The govt needs to be creative to find the funding. They might need to return to the previous administration's funding ideas. Thanks for providing the background Info which is quite detailed. I now agree with you that Keyamo was merely spinning the truth |

enlady: You must be thinking everyone here is ignorant. The press release said 44 percent of early works stage four. Can you give a numerical estimate of this in engineering parlance? The only time line stated is early work stage four commenced in November 2017 to end July 2018. No mention of deadline for complete construction. Amount for early work stage four released 2bn out of 14bn. No one is disputing the project. Its the deceit by Keyamo What’s engineering parlance to start with? Let’s assume they were referring to construction of a building. It’s not out of place for the 44% of early stage work to be with respect to foundation and if so, you will agree with me that’s the major piece since the remaining completion depending on the level of building being constructed could be easily expedited |

don't blame Keyamo, he is only doing what he's appointed to do. Why are you laughing with someone acting to be smart? (44% of X) as a % of Y might actually be a lot work done that you are giving them credit for. A good indicator would have been how far they've been into the delivery timeline Shebi you understand Pareto's ish abi? |

MaziOmenuko: Lol..Jarus be mincing words. The answer is a straight-faced NO!
But I'd agree with you that the unnecessary fixation in working at oil firms is becoming annoying. He studied Civil Engr, he should be inquiring about the possibility of working with the premium construction firms; the likes of Julius Berger, Capa and D'Arberto, Arab Const, Elalan and others.
Luckily for him, Civil Engr is a hands-on course and that is what you need to advise him on; let him get on the field and grab some hands-on experience in building and construction. It must not be with the premium companies, he can start with the no-name construction companies and build his way up.
Third class ke? We with the 2nd class self know wetin we see; abi na dis one wey first class full everywhere. Oil companies self don dey limit their intake to oversea graduates before dem begin consider first-class for naija university. I would have sworn they have structures on rigs, No? I agree that the opportunities are somewhat limited but engineering skills are easily transferable |

You can either enroll on a specialist postgraduate course such as Drilling, Pipeline, Offshore Engineering ... or Find a way to work your way up by applying for the lowest available jobs (Roustabout, floorhand ...) then enhance your skillset by taking specialist courses which should help overtime |
