Politics › Re: Mathematics Shows Atiku Would Win Buhari By At Least 1.5million Votes by jaybee3(m): 8:29pm On Jan 31, 2019 |
cutesmilez: Let me lecture some Zombies on how politics works!
Atiku don't need to win Kano state. He only needs atlist 40% of Kano's votes. That's all. As you know, Kano gave pmb above 1.9million votes in 2015 while PDP got less Dan 250 thousand votes from the region. Now going by kwankwanso's movement in Kano. I can categorically tell you that the APC votes in Kano will just be a little above PDP's Kano votes, that's if APC wins Kano in the first place.
Now let's take a look at Rivers state. The state is predominantly a PDP state. Rivers gave PDP 1.4 million votes in 2015, close to 1.5 million. While APC only got 69 thousand + votes in Rivers.
My point? Apc's strongest state is Kano, while PDP's strongest state is Rivers. Going by recent appenings, PDP will sure get above 25% votes in APC's strongest state which is Kano and APC don't stand a chance in Rivers (PDP's strongest state).... Which is already a win win for PDP. Kano will not produce as much votes it produced for APC in 2015, but Rivers will sure produce more Dan wat it delivered for PDP in 2015, this makes it a win win for PDP.
I rest my case! Politics is all about numbers, and getting more votes from ur opposition's strongest place.
More lectures coming What makes you think the Phantom votes from SE/SS region will be received on election day? If anything, their Son is not on the ballot and abuse of incident form won’t be allowed so the margin won’t be as wide as you are anticipating. Buhari’s maths/path to victory is obviously much smoother considering the regional bloc/spread votes he is expecting |

eleojo23: Mathematics was interesting until they decided that numbers were not enough and introduced letters.
And the worst thing is that one of the letters will always go missing and we will have to find it. Like find X
Why should I find it? Na me throway am? You will also be finding x in the real world though. The act of finding equates to problem solving when you might have to debug or use deductive reasoning to arrive at the answer |

UjSizzle: Increased private sector investment is a good thing as long as the government is regulating. We need to limit the impact of capitalism in this country as much as we can. What about coal? Or has this been abandoned to reduce our carbon footprint in a country that isn't even producing the enough power?
Looking forward to a more diversified economy. I agree |

eleojo23: I think PDP is the only party that has actually conducted a real and transparent presidential primary.
All the other parties are quoting millions of votes for their candidates and nobody knows where those votes came from. There is a clear difference between being elected by party delegates and party members. The fact that the election was conducted with much fracas doesn’t mean it was transparent. Delegates like party members are more of the same (forever available to the highest bidder) |
Politics › Re: The Total Number Of Eligible Voters In The 6 Geopolitical Zones In Nigeria by jaybee3(m): 8:11am On Oct 08, 2018 |
Ozibe: The same way the NE and MB combine vote is 17M plus.. Then add SE and SS 15M plus. Then add a divided SW of just 40% which is around 6M
17 + 15 + 6 = 38M roughly
Buharis only base is NW 18M and 40% SW
18 + 6 = 24M roughly
The SE and SS for atiku is nothing less than 90% if PDP takes SE for VP and also are able to convince and mobilize them to Vote.
MB and NE will stand for PDP 70 - 80% because of Fulani herdsmen and bokoharam. And again atiku is from the NE
So tell me,what are buharis's chances? You are very naive Sir Here are the factors that you ought to consider when doing your analysis: 1) Historical voter turnout ~65%-70% 2) PVC collection rate (NW region’s collection rate will always rank higher than the other regions) 3) All SW states have sitting APC Governors 4) South South won’t be able to inflate votes and the votes from Akwa Ibom, Delta & Rivers will probably be in 70:30 margin to PDP 5) SE votes WON’T be 95% skewed towards PDP. Atiku won’t outperform GEJ so it’s common sense to expect him to make slight inroad |

Ozibe: SOUTH EAST Abia 1,481,191 Anambra 1,758,220 Enugu 1,301,185 Imo 1,611,715 Ebonyi 876,249 TOTAL 7,028,560 ---------------------------------------- SOUTH WEST Lagos 6,247,845 Ogun 1,869,326 Osun 1,293,967 Ondo 1,588,975 Ekiti 750,753 Oyo 2,577,490 TOTAL 14,298,356
SOUTHWEST minus Lagos
14,298,356 - 6,247,845 = 8,050, 511
Compared to the South east..7,028,560
The difference is 1,021,951. This tells you that the southwest voting strength is a myth. Lagos doesnt represent the southwest. In 2019, Lagos will be divided, while osun will vote Atiku because his wife is from Ilesha in osun state and then Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun will give atiku not less than 30-40%. With that Atiku is good to go from the south west.
In this game the igbos as a people is much more important than the southeast as a region. The Igbos are spread all over the country especially Lagos and kano. They will be doing their magic with other nigerian groups esp SS and MB in those places by voting in block to divide Lagos and kano vote to not less than 35%. Once that is done, Buhari is a gonna. All Atiku need is to pick his VP from the SE, in a bid to encourage them to vote. If not, IPOB will exploit it to discourage people from voting. We shouldn't forget the " No Referendum, No Election" mantra is still active. If Atiku hopes to will this, his VP must come from SE, unless people will boycott the election which will be to PDP's disadvantage. Igbo people no kuku send Nigerian politics before. We are living fine without government and Nigerian politics, so we lose nothing. You do realise Buhari’s base/region has about 18M+ registered voters right? Atiku will get his share of the votes but the margin won’t compensate for the possible support he will muster from the SE. Some heavyweight politicians from the SS have also defected to Buhari’s side and that will surely translate to suppression of votes for PDP and reduction is margin The 18M plus votes from the NW region is the main problem!!!! |

Ibime: Oga, abeg make we chat on email or FB. I need some step by step coaching on the coding side of things. eg how many years do you quantify as Experienced cos everything na cost-benefit analysis. I currently work within private healthcare, and you can class me as mid-Band 8c currently. I know say you been dey with our regulatory body before in similar quantitative/coding role. If one is to follow the Data Science path and jump in as a greenhorn, where would one be starting from financially etc? What languages should one be learning etc to blend it all together? Bearing in mind I'm from a quantitative background before entering finance but with poor coding knowledge. Yeah let’s touch base via FB The coding shouldn’t be too difficult for you considering your maths background. Phyton and relational databases are pretty standard but your bargaining chip is your ability to find trends in data, structure and test data using different techniques (regression et al) I’m sure it should be pretty standard for you. |

Ibime: Contracting na the way to go on any field but perm wages is the best way to judge long-term prospects when committing to a new learning process. What guarantee is there that by the time one qualifies, contracting roles will still be abundant and at that day rate? Generally, statisticians have always been poorly paid but I think say the developer angle go improve things somewhat. There are many data analysts and Econometricians earning 20k-30k in London who will flood the developer field if a premium is added for them adding Python to their current skills, and they will drag that rate down oh. On BI angle, from what I heard, Cognos Developers seem to start at 80k which seems to hold more prospects. Data science is where the money is @ and you don’t necessarily have to specialise in a field. However You do need to be technically sound in coding & quantitive analysis I’ve ported to EY in their FDA team doing exactly that and permanent salary can be very competitive Experienced Data Scientist earn >70 large It helps if you’ve got a highly numerate background though |
