Liftmaster:
It just breaks my heart to read about this dear lady's situation. These occurrences of severe financial difficulty are not uncommon in Nigeria and many parts of the world, and so lots of folks have become accustomed to, and sometimes immune to the heart rendering effects that they have on our persons. Having said this, I declare that the time to beg for food and rainment is over!

Mrs Akinlana; "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are Ye not much better than they?" God knows your needs before you ask! I have a couple simple requests of you. First, I want you (or your representative) to respond here (or send me a private message if you prefer) and ask for an amount that will help you re-establish your business in a manner that will comfortably support your family. I read in previous posts that you payed your house rent, fed your kids and sent them to private school from the proceeds of this business. Tell me what it would take to rekindle this venture. Do not be timid, ask with confidence. Your financial need does not make you any less of a person than anyone else. It does not please God to see his beloved beg for what he has already freely given!

Second, I recognize that folks who have advised you to transfer your kids to public school, or send one of them to live with someone else, only mean well, and like me, are seeking a permanent solution to your situation. However, I believe this is not the time to do this. I believe your family needs to stay together and support each other emotionally, especially since your husband is currently not in the picture. Your kids need your presence daily and the best education they can get to set them up for success. If you respond to my first request, you have a good shot at accomplishing this.

Finally, to put some context around my " crashing" this thread with my discombobulated thoughts; do not forget that this is an Internet forum visible to any interested party around the world. This is my first post on Nairaland. I joined with the express purpose of responding to this thread that is buried 2 or 3 pages into an obscure sub forum. Isn't it amazing how mountains are removed when God starts to move? There may be more interested parties that will start to move on your behalf once you get things going. Have no fear, God is with you.
Thanks ever so much for your thoughtful post. We can only pray that the lord will reward you in multiple folds for the help you are about to render to this struggling family.

The honest truth is, it's kind of hard to predict a figure that will help alleviate them from their dire situation and subsequently propel them to sustainable future.

However, we do know the kid's school fees is around 70k or there about and she might need a profit margin of at least 20-30k per month to comfortably realise that amount of money. A business injected with a figure between 200k-300k might give her the 10% required profit margin so i implore that you use that as a base for your anticipated favourable decision.

Just to add, she has around 30k or thereabout left with us from money donated thus far so the plan is to use this alongside further money donated to help boost her business. We also don't just hand money to them so be rest assured your donation will be used for the intended purposes only

Thanks for the moronic question. But what the Bleep do you have now? stable power supply and not darkness?
You are dumb, uncouth and filled with ignorance

Haven't you read their roadmap to sustainable incremental stable power?

I hate it when rodents think they know more than the tons of professionals working in the ministry who are tasked to provide power

Nigeria has abundant gas that would have propelled us to our desired destination hence why the power strategy at the time was centred around gas dependent turbine power systems.

A government always have to provide solutions in record time especially when they are dealing with varying demands at the same time (rightly so).

They have now realised there isn't any point harnessing the gas when we would always have distribution challenges due to obvious threats from the militants.

They have realised this and have started diversifying for a better balanced outcome that will support our desired growth.

Some of the things they are doing are as follows:
They have managed to solve the legal hurdle that stopped Prof Nnaji's Geometric power sytem from coming on-stream

They have started addressing the legal issues surrounding the mambilla hydro plant

They are looking at the feasibility of embracing nuclear power plant (Not advisable due to obvious security challenges we face in the country)

They are looking at fixing all the small hydropower plants scattered around the country

They are looking at investing in Solar power system (This is not a quick win solution since we don't have readily available funds to invest in the solution at this time)
Car TalkRe: Naija Kazeems Wahala by jaybee3(m): 7:15am On Jun 18, 2016
People are ridiculously dumb geez
It's not okay to learn by trial and error especially when the error marging is either ridiculously low or non existent

You are meant to fault find find first as a technician. If and when you are able to trap/trace the fault then simply replace the part

Most components of manufactured cars have lifespan so if you can't afford the running cost to maintain these cars then you simply don't have any business buying them

Heck, you can easily narrow the problems to particular faults by doing a simple google search

Oga Jaybee3,

Thanks for your question.

However as a serious Christian who is desirous of making heaven, I can't give an answer to your question because it does not improve lives as it gives way for the lustful desires of the flesh of which the bible strong warns that "I should flee from."

Therefore, as an obedient child of God, I decline to provide answers to your question.

Thank you for gracing this thread.
How exactly are you going to make money if you can't be flexible with your approach to your customer's needs?
Must you discriminate?

So you are basically going to decline helping me to print millions of T-shirt with a message to support the LGBT community just because it's against your religion?

We won't argue
Me I can’t even argue with you before you use your usual on point epistle stifle my existence.

modath:
I just asked, what is that Value government is providing for the citizens to necessitate collection of goods & sevices tax?.... Bear in mind that most hotels & businesses that collect VAT from guests & contractors end up pocketing the proceeds most times.
Taxation is always a pain no matter how you look at it but it’s simply the easiest way to generate revenue in the short term.
People evading or avoiding taxes is another kettle of fish which I believe Mr Fowler has been delegated the responsibility of targeted increment in effective collection which will hopefully help us reduce our reliance on black gold

modath:
In this people generate their light, dig boreholes for their use, contribute to grade the roads in their neighbourhoods and you want to tax, what are they going to tax?
Well, I believe the already pay taxes in one form or the other either through taxes passed directly unto consumers or VAT directly added to the cost of services when they engage contractors to provide services

modath:
People are broke, down & out and all we can think of is to add more tax burdens? By the way, how do you intend to task my aunty who deals in plastic in my home town?
I’m aware of the pain even if it isn’t being felt directly and I do sympathise but I’m a strong believer in no pain no gain so long as the leadership can show absolute honesty in their approach (Transparency/accountability/real empathy to our challenges through effective implementation of policies that will directly provide succour to millions) to solving our basic systematic problems

modath:
If successive government haven't killed the country's production capacity, we wouldn't be where we are today, do you have an idea of how many jobs are lost to China factories & foreign refineries? That is not even about exploration of other mineral resources & how many truly developed countries rely totally on what God buried deep into the ground?

Nigeria needs restructuring, we can continue to kid ourselves till the center eventually gives way!!! I hope it doesn't consume more people than necessary! cool
I agree that Nigeria needs restructuring but without having sincere and honest people with true values that share common goal to enact laws that will enable us flourish through devolution of certain powers to the state or regions then I’m afraid we going to be on a long thing.
Nigeria has far too many problems one of which sadly is non other Nigerians themselves to make such long term approach work.
You can’t start teaching grown people values and ethics or can you?

No no no!! We are a nation of governed by LAWS not a nation governed by men. The moment a leader can keep somebody in jail just because he feels the person is a risk is the moment true democracy is lost. Please understand Buhari will not be there for ever. Tomorrow the next person may jail you or I simply because he 'thinks' we are a risk. It is not the presidents prerogative to decide who should be in jail and who should be free, that lies with the courts. That's the basis of separation of powers between the Executive, Judicial, and legislative branches and it's the very foundation of a modern democratic society.

I’m finding it hard to understand/correlate your quest for knowing what’s up with your current relationship and your subtle brag on how much of a hot commodity you are.

Fact is:
You have no proof whatsoever to conclude he lied about being tied up,

You seem to have some insecurity issues cos I just can’t comprehend how one can jump from a position of uncertainty to conviction without having any shred of evidence,

You are actually confused considering the fact that you’ve left room for some sort of comparison whilst being in a relationship albeit at its infancy,

You are desperate even though you are trying to come across as nonchalant. You just don’t throw in the fact that other guys are asking for your hand in marriage if you aren’t desperate to get married

Having said the above, you really need to give him a break and stop acting all desperate by saying sorry or trying to force him to ignore your insecurities. Going forward, if he indeed doesn’t deem your apology to be sufficient enough then simply get the move on.

Relationships isn’t a do or die affair so love yourself and make the relationship work for you first
