Residents of a community in Edo state recently found an abandoned baby in muddy water.
A viral video shows the moment the community members rescued the child who was crying when he/she was found. The baby was wearing diapers when the community members made the discovery.

A man has shared video of a discovery he made at a public ATM machine, IgbereTV reports.
The machine's withdrawal button was pressed. But the machine refused to dispense cash, even when the screen says that cash is being dispensed.
He discovered that the machine has two dispensing ports. One was visible while the other was hidden with a plastic bar which prevented the already dispensed cash from coming out of the machine.

Bishop Oyedepo: When We Employed 7,000 Pastors At Once, Social Media Was Silent (Video)
Founder/General Overseer of Living Faith Church (a.k.a Winners Chapel), Bishop Oyedepo has spoken on the sacking of pastors in his church, IgbereTV reports.
According to reports last Sunday, 40 pastors of the church were sacked from the church branches for not meeting up with the targeted money they were supposed to rake in into the purse of the church.
Addressing his congregation during church service, Bishop Oyedepo said that those on social media calling his church out for the sack were all silent when he employed pastors on a large scale.
"When we employed 7,000 pastors at once social media was dead," Bishop Oyedepo said, adding "We have more employees in this organisation than most of the states."
The Emir of Muri Empire in Taraba State, Abbas Tafida, has issued a 30-day ultimatum to herders terrorising residents of the state to vacate forests within the state or be forced to do so. The Emir gave the ultimatum on Tuesday after Eid prayers.
This follows a rising spate of kidnappings, killings, and attacks in the state by criminals suspected to be herders. He claimed that Fulani herders are responsible for perpetrating crimes in the state and should therefore vacate forests in the state within 30 days or be forced out.
The Emir, who spoke in the Hausa language, urged the leadership of Fulani herdsmen to fish out the bad eggs among them.
“Our Fulani herdsmen in the forests, you came into this state and we accepted you, why then will you be coming to towns and villages to kidnap residents, even up to the extent of raping our women?
“Because of this unending menace, every Fulani herdsman in this state has been given 30 days ultimatum to vacate the forests. We are tired of having sleepless nights and the hunger alone in the land is enormous and we will not allow it to continue,” the Emir said.
Taraba, located in the Northeast, is faced with heinous crimes ranging from kidnapping to bandit attacks.

A man accused of being a thief was allegedly caught red-handed at Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro's son's birthday, IgbereTV reports.
The man who was said to have been caught stealing at two different occasions previously but was pardoned.
Again, he was caught at Ubi's son, Jayden's 5th birthday party over the weekend and Ubi disgraced him.
In a video shared on Ubi Franklin's Instagram handle, he was heard shouting at the alleged thief.
"See this idiot. You wan come spoil my pikin birthday. You dey mad," Ubi told him.
Another man is heard in the video saying that that alleged thief was caught at an event a day prior after he stole a phone, but he was spared. Another person also claimed the man was caught stealing in Harvesters Church.
But the accused continued claiming that he is innocent of the accusation.

How 2 Children Survived Fire Explosion That Killed Bride-To-Be, 8 Kids In Ebonyi (Disturbing Photos)
Two children, Princess and James survived a fire explosion which killed a bride-to-be and eight other children, IgbereTV reports.
IgbereTV learnt that the fire incident which occurred around 8:a.m on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Akaeze in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was caused when a canon loaded with gun powder and left in the house had contact with fire.
According to reports, a lady whose wedding was coming up in few days died in the explosion. Also, one of the victims who was three years old died on the spot during the rescue operation.
The parents of the children, Mr and Mrs Daniel Chukwu thanked God during a Thanksgiving Service held for the survival of their children at the Assemlies of God Gishiri, Abuja on Sunday, July 18 2021.
Mr. Chukwu told the congregation that he never expected what God did for him, neither did he know how best to appreciate God for the miracle of the survival of his children.
"Undoubtedly, this thanksgiving and praise to God will last as long as myself, my wife and my children live on Planet Earth. Expectedly, our children were left with lifetime evidence of the experience on their bodies, but neither me, their mother nor our close family members were bothered. We are just grateful to God for the gift of life," he said.
"The survival of James, nine, and Princess, 12, from the fire explosion was a marvel to medical doctors and other health workers that attended to the case at different hospitals in Ebonyi and Enugu states, where the children spent months under the close monitoring of the health workers"
He further narrated;
"On the 1st of January 2021, at about 10:00am in my compound, at Akaeze in Ivo L.G.A of Ebonyi State, a group of people came in the name of New Year Celebration and started blowing gun powder (locally fabricated material that can destroy things and human being in particular).
''Surprisingly, the carton of the gun powder was packed in the parlour close to the area it was blown. Don't know if i should call it carelessness, the sparked element traced down to the parlour where about ten (10) children (both mine and neighbours) were watching the television and set them all on fire. Before immediate help could come to them, they were all turned to black because of the magnitude of the injury sustained.
''They were all rushed to Abakaliki Hospital for medical attention. They spent six months in the hospital. Out of 10 children from different womb 8 died, the two that survived are my only children.
The degree of the burn was over 40% to most of them, and they started dying one after the other except my two (2) children (James and Princess). It was a heavy tragedy of the century, which no one can easily forget in a hurry.
At Abakaliki hospital, one of the doctors approached me privately telling me to make sure I don't keep my children for long in the Hospital because the Holy Spirit ministered to Him to inform me to take them away else they will die under 48 hours.
To cut the long story short, within 2hours we were already at Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu where the doctors and nurses rallied round on my children’s body to see how they can revive the situation.
I am here to testify to the Glory of God that my children are now medically satisfied and okay, they are back to Abuja to continue their education.
I thank all the people that contributed through Prayers, financial assistance and moral support. All Glory to our Father in Heaven, He alone can do what no man can do. He is awesome and Wonderful. To Him be all the Praise now and forever more in Jesus name Amen.

Popular Nigerian preacher and motivational speaker of international repute, based in New Zealand, Dr. Samuel Ekundayo, shared a throwback photo of his wife devouring a piece of chicken in his presence when they were still dating, IgbereTV reports.
Dr Ekundayo, who is popularly called “The Purpose Preacher”, stated on Facebook that couples in relationships who don't eat chicken the way his wife did are still 'forming'.
Sharing a throwback photo of his wife eating chicken during a date with him, he wrote;
"If you’re in a relationship and you cannot eat your chicken the way my wife is eating it in this picture, in the presence of her then fiancé (me), just know that you both are still “forming”.

Lagos State Govt Seals Up 30 Sachet Water Factories For Operating Below Standard (Photos)
The enforcement team of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission (LASWARCO) has sealed 30 Water Factories across the State for various infractions ranging from unhygienic production environment, failure to comply with regulatory provisions as well as operating without adhering to good manufacturing practices, IgbereTV reports.
Briefing newsmen, the Executive Secretary of LASWARCO, Mrs. Funke Adepoju stated that the enforcement was in line with the mandate of the Commission to protect residents from unhygienic water consumption, stressing that the exercise would be sustained.
She said prior to the enforcement, LASWARCO had taken steps to engage and sensitize producers on best practices in the interest of residents, and also the financial viability of their investments.
“In as much as we have the mandate to ensure that operators remain in business, we also cannot fold our arms and allow infractions to fester without being addressed. The primary regulatory mandate of the Commission is to ensure that operators in the water abstraction, production and distribution industry comply with best manufacturing procedures to safeguard the health of the people”.
Mrs. Adepoju said the level of poor and unwholesome practices discovered in some water factories in Lagos was not only disheartening but frightening, vowing that LASWARCO would do all within its powers to ward off any attempt to put the lives of residents in jeopardy.
Giving details of the enforcement, the Executive Secretary said;
“The enforcement team of LASWARCO visited some water production factories in the State with on-site testing kits and the result confirmed that most of them are operating far below safety parameters.
As the regulatory body empowered by Section 313 (h) of the Lagos State Environmental Management Protection Law, 2017, to regulate the activities of those engaged in the provision, consumption, treatment, packaging, sales and supply of bottled drinking water contained in bottles or polythene bags, our principal interest is to ensure acceptable standards”.
She restated the commitment of the government to ensure that residents have access to potable and safe drinking water in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda and Goal Six of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), insisting that the factories would remain sealed until their owners comply with all safety procedures and duly register for further monitoring in order to facilitate compliance with best practices.
The Executive Secretary urged residents to report any water production factory in their neighbourhood suspected of involvement in unwholesome practices to the Commission for appropriate action, saying it is important for residents to key into the Safe Water Campaign of the Commission and work with the government to ensure compliance.

Multi Grammy award-winning legendary singer, Angelique Kidjo has defended claims that Nigerian singer, Damini ”Burna Boy” Ogulu has an unapologetic attitude, IgbereTV reports.
Critics and even fans have debated countless times on social media that the African Giant is too proud and arrogant as though he is the only one to make hits or win awards.
In a Zoom interview with Smooth FM, Angelique Kidjo was asked what she thought about Burna Boy’s seeming arrogance over his successes.
In response to the question, Kidjo said Burna had no need to apologize for anything. She stressed the need to be humble as a talented person, but disagreed about the need to always apologize.
The songwriter also added that if it were an African-American exhibiting such traits, they will not be criticized in the same way.

ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF CAPE COAST ORDAINS REV. REGINA BAADU AS FIRST FEMALE PRIEST.
The Anglican Diocese of Cape Coast, since its creation out of the then Accra Diocese in 1981 has ordained Rev. Regina Baadu as the 'first female Priest.
She is the first woman to be appointed, trained and ordained as priest by the diocese.
IgbereTV reports that the Ceremony was held at St Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Cape Coast. Rt Rev. Dr Victor Reginald Atta-Baffoe(Diocesan Bishop) charged the new priests to offer selfless and dedicated service that would draw more people to Christ.
He implored them to be obedient to God since it was the only way they would be successful and overcome all hurdles and challenges that might come their way in the performance of their priestly duties.He urged them to remain faithful to God in the performance of their priestly duties irrespective of the challenges that they might be confronted with since God who had called them into His ministry would not forsake them.
The well-attended ceremony, which was graced by family members and friends, priests and catechists within the diocese also saw the ordination of 'Ordinand Josephine Mahama' into the Order of Diaconate.
Delivering the sermon,Very Rev'd Ebenezer Love Annan(Dean of Christ Church Cathedral) urged the 'Newly ordained' to believe in God’s gospel, practise what they preach to increase their level of spirituality so as to win more souls into the Christian faith, adding that “what God expect from you is to lead lives that will draw more people into the Christian faith”. He admonished the new priests to let their light shine wherever they would find themselves and lead lives that would positively impact their congregation.

The diocese of cape coast has Rev. Vida Gyabeng and Rev. Josephine Mahama serving as Deacons with Rev. Mrs. Regina Baadu serving as the 'first' female priest in the diocese.
