Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina and his friend, Ibrahim Masari visited President Tinubu at his Asokoro residence in Abuja last night, IGBERETV reports.

Bodies Of Women And Children Litter Plateau Villages After Bloody Attack (Graphic Photos)
Men, women and children were reportedly killed in a Monday night attack at Fungzai and Kubwat villages in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
IGBERETV learnt that no fewer than 41 people were killed in the attack.
Plateau Peace Building Director General, Joseph Lengmang, in a post on his verified Facebook page, said he has never seen this scale of carnage and bloodbath. He wrote;
“We have never in the last 24 hours seen this scale of carnage and bloodbath in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The tragic destruction of homes and killing of innocent people from one village to another is quite troubling.
This is totally condemnable and unacceptable!
And even more troubling is the fact that the killings and wanton destruction have continued unabated.
The situation is beginning to look more like an earth scorching campaign as opposed to the usual attack on sleepy communities.
Something is fundamentally wrong somewhere!
There should be a massive deployment of both operation Rainbow and Operation Safe Haven special forces to arrest this very ugly situation from degenerating any further as well as spreading to neighbouring local government areas.."
A lady has been remanded in Kirikiri prison for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Ogombo area of Ajah, Lagos state, IGBERETV reports.
Lagos state police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin shared the news on Tuesday, May 16.
Sharing a picture of a woman grabbing a police officer by the Uniform, Hundeyin tweeted;
"Somewhere in Ogombo yesterday, she assaulted a police officer. She was arraigned today and has been remanded to the Kirikiri correctional facility till June 6 when the case come up again in court."
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has hailed the Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, for breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Baci has set a new record for a 100-hour marathon cooking, IGBERETV reports.

The Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos state has remanded Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, for 48 hours in police custody for allegedly assaulting a police officer, IGBERETV reports.
At his arraignment before Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, the prosecution led by S. A Adebese and Morufu Animashaun asked the court to remand the defendant for 21 days pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. However, Kuti’s counsel, led by Femi Falana, SAN, asked the court to not remand his client, stating that they were not aware of the remand application.
The magistrate after listening to both parties requested five minutes of recess stating that she needed to deliberate on her own. Upon her return, the magistrate said she would not rely on police investigation hence she remanded the defendant for 48 hours in police custody.
Delivering her judgment, she ordered that the singer be remanded for 48 hours with the police and then be granted bail in the sum of N1 million.
“Court has decided to override any public opinion and pass the judgment of the court. Following the remand application presented before the court, I am advising that the case file be duplicated and sent to the Directorate of public prosecutions within 72 hours. The defendant is hereby remanded for 48 hours in police custody to allow the police to conclude their investigation. After 48 hours, the defendant will be granted bail in the sum of N1m with two responsible sureties, a three years tax payment receipt that is verifiable; one of the sureties must have a landed property within the court jurisdiction.”, she ruled.
She adjourned the case till May 23, 2023, for mention.
The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday, May 16, arraigned Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, before Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of a Magistrate’s court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State on a one-count charge of assault on a police officer, IGBERETV reports.
The police prosecutor, S. A Adebese, told the court that it is an offense contrary to Section 356 of the Nigerian Criminal Code Act and asked the court to grant an order for the police to remand the musician for 21 days pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
Seun's counsel led by Femi Falana, SAN, begged the court to not grant the remand order. He argued that he was not aware of the remand application.
As at the time of this report, the court went on recess as Magistrate has asked for time to study the case file.
Seun was arrested after he turned himself in on Monday, May 15, after a video of him assaulting a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State, went viral.

Police Arrest Man Who Absconded After Stabbing His Mother To Death In Kano (Photo)
The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, Ibrahim Musa, who stabbed his mother to death in Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state, IGBERETV reports.
The Kano State Police Command had launched a manhunt for the suspect after the crime. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, May 5, 2023, said the suspect was arrested at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tota LGA on Thursday night.
The PPRO said the suspect confessed to the crime and also admitted to dealing in illicit drugs. The statement read;
"On the 4th May 2023 at about 2200hrs (10pm), Ibrahim Musa, 'm', 22 years old was arrested at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa LGA, Kano State after stabbing his 50-year-old biological mother to death at Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.
“The suspect confessed to the crime and also confessed to dealing in illicit drug abuse. He will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation,"
“The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc appreciates those that assisted with information that led to the arrest and commended the Police Tactical Teams that ensure that the culprit is brought to book.”
