"RAPE alert by Delta State Anti-Cult member Efe.

Yesterday Thursday 25th March, at about 9:15pm, one Efe who is a member of the Delta State Anti-Cult in Warri has allegedly rape a 19 years old girl. The girl in her narration described her she stood in front of her compound at Apala, Warri before the anti cult men came to them and the suspect did not denied the offence either.

Four of the men came down from the tri-cycle (Keke). They pointed their guns at the guy standing close to the girl and dragged her into their Keke. Took her to an uncompleted Redeem Christian Church of God at Apala. She said only Efe raped her as she shouts but nobody came to her rescue while the other of his men watched.

The guy whom they pointed their guns at, had raised an alarm and police from B Division Warri quickly trailed the suspects and arrested them. We had taken her to the hospital for test which proved the allegation pending justice from the court. The lady was hospitalized but gradually recuperating at the moment.

The DPO B Division Warri, CSP Kelvin Zukumo has assured us that justice would be done in the light of truth and conscience. We have confidence in the sagacious officer who detest injustice and always stand for the truth. The world would be better when justice stands against injustice and human rights stand against human wrong.

Kinetic Abia Tours: Ikpeazu Set To Continue Inspection Of Ongoing Road Projects (Photos)

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, will continue his statewide project inspection and commissioning programme tagged “Kinetic Abia Tours” from Tuesday, IgbereTV reports.

According to Information made available to IgbereTV by the Commissioner of Information in Abia State, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, the inspection is scheduled as follows:

An elderly man has been arrested after he was caught raping an 8-year-old girl in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, IgbereTV reports.

The suspect was caught by Amaekpu youths led by their president, Stormy Stainless.

According a short statement posted by the organization on Sunday, March 21, the suspect lives opposite a guest house in Ohafia.

Police Recover Corpse Of A Day Old Baby Abandoned Beside A Lagos Hospital (Graphic Photo)

Police operatives attached to the Ikeja Division of the Lagos State Police Command, on Saturday, March 20, recovered the lifeless body of a day-old baby lying beside Ayinke hospital in Lagos, IgbereTV reports.

According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Ademuyiwa Adejobi, the police officers responded to a call from the Security Department of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, alerting it of the corpse of the baby.

Adejobi said having discovered the corpse of the baby, the command contacted the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit that evacuated the corpse. He said the baby was suspected to have been abandoned by his mother and must have been exposed to risks that caused his death.

Adejobi added that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, condemned the barbaric act of dumping and/or killing babies with impunity as he ordered the State Intelligence Bureau and Surveillance teams in the command to step up their findings and keep watch on heartless criminals who engage in such heinous crimes with a view to bringing them to book and curb the act in our society.

"VALENTINE PROPOSAL WENT WRONG"

The Lagos Police Command in separate operations between Thursday night and early hours of Friday 12th February 2021, arrested eight ( 8 ) suspected traffic robbers in Ketu Area of Lagos State, IgbereTV reports.

Five of the suspects were arrested on Thursday, February 12, at about 1030pm, by a team of RRS operatives led by the Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi around Motorways end of Ketu while the other three (3) suspects were caught in the act by another RRS patrol team around 6am on Friday, February 12.

A statement released by the spokesperson of the command, Muyiwa Adejobi, gave the names of the suspects as Olawuyi Olayinka, m, 27, Mayowa Adeleke, m, 17, Fa'izu Ado, m, 25, Segun Oluwatoyin, m, 27, Haruna Shuaibu, m, 29, Amos Abayomi, ,m 24, Monday Obayemi,m, 25 and Okunlola Olawale, m, 21.

One of the suspects, Amos Abayomi, who was arrested with a machete in between traffic in the morning of Friday, 12th February, 2021, in Ketu, Lagos, disclosed that he used to rob in traffic with a syndicate of other hoodlums especially in the morning and at night.

He further explained that there were instances where motor boys working in Ajelogo Park, Ketu would use their trucks to block the highway at dawn thereby creating artificial traffic so that they can feast on motorists and commuters held in traffic.

''Abayomi, who had dispossessed a young lady of her Tecno Spak 4 phone, shortly before he was arrested, noted that traffic robbery at dawn and night was all he does for a living. He also disclosed that he had handed over the phones he collected to one of his colleagues, Akube (now at large) before he was arrested.

Abayomi, an Eiye cult member, also confessed that Monday Obayemi, who was equally arrested with assorted hard drug, robs and sells hard drugs in traffic to the suspects and other criminals on a daily basis, '' the statement read in part.

Abayomi stated that items recovered from the suspects were weapons, assorted charms, mobile phones, wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine and other hard drugs.

He added that the state Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has directed that the suspects be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for discreet Investigation and prosecution, as the command will not leave any stone unturned in getting the state rid of criminals and hoodlums.

Ikpeazu, Speaker Visit New Govt House Project Site, Reassure Completion Within 26 Months (Photos)

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has reiterated his resolve in ensuring that the new Government House located at Ogurube Layout, Umuahia is completed before he leaves office in 2023, IgbereTV reports.

Governor Ikpeazu made his feelings known when he paid an inspection visit to the new complex in company of the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji to ascertain the progress of work.
According to the Governor, it is important that Mr. Speaker is part of the inspection to see what the executive is doing with the funds appropriated by the legislature for the project.

The Governor expressed satisfaction that the contractor was now back on site, adding that the visit was to ensure that the job was going according to specifications. "I have come to see the quality of work and to ensure they are working in line with specifications "

The Governor disclosed that, at present , the contractor is doing electrical, plumbing and tilling works as plastering had been completed. He encouraged the contractor to expedite work to achieve the plan of completing the project in good time.
