A man has raised concern over a pillar at the Lagos airport, IgbereTV reports.

As seen in the photo he shared on Twitter, one of the pillars at the airport's parking lot has a crack on it.

David Hundeyin Criticise Abike Dabiri-Erewa On Radio Over Death Of Nigerian Woman, Itunu (Photos, Video)

Journalist David Hundeyin and Abike Dabiri-Erewa got into a tense debate on radio during which David criticised the NIDCOM Chairperson, IgbereTV reports.

A video recorded during the interview shows Ms. Abike's reaction when Hundeyin called in to the show to discuss Itunu's death.

David asked questions about what was done by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) to help Itunu after her case was made public

Abike, who is the Chairperson of NIDCOM, responded, explaining efforts made to get Itunu out of jail before she sadly died in detention.

However, David wasn't satisfied with her answer and tried to ask another question.

Ms. Abike kept explaining herself while David was trying to ask his question and he expressed his disapproval, saying: "Will you stop talking over me?"

David Hundeyin had highlighted Itunu's plight earlier this year and called on the Nigerian government to do something about her case.

Itunu Babalola, a 21-year-old Nigerian businesswoman was jailed in Ivory Coast after her house was burgled.

She had reported the theft to the police and a suspect was caught. However, a police officer in Ivory Coast, who is related to the suspect fingered in the robbery, allegedly tried to get Itunu to drop the case and allegedly offered her money.

She refused to drop the case. Because she refused to drop the case, she was accused of human trafficking and was charged to court. She was jailed for 20 years over a crime she didn't commit.

Ms. Abike Dabiri-Erewa said by the time her case was made public earlier this year, she had already spent 2 years in jail.

Itunu was said to have had complications from diabetes and was rushed to a hospital but she didn't make it. She died this month.

Bishop Oyedepo Pays Condolence Visit To Pastor Odukoya Over Wife's Death (Photos)

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church on Wednesday visited Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, founder of the Fountain of Life Bible Church who lost his wife, Nomthi Odukoya on Tuesday, IgbereTV reports.

Pastor Nomthi died after battling cancer for almost two years.

"Obi Cubana Did not Take Photo with EFCC Staff

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has been drawn to fake news trending on social media with the caption, “EFCC Crew poses for quick photograph with billionaire socialite and businessman Obi Cubana”.

The caption is as fake as any fake news can ever be because, at no time during his ongoing investigation, period in custody or release did Obi Cubana pose for photographs with EFCC staff.

Deji Adesogan a.k.a Uncle Deji, a popular security analyst using his social media handle, has further debunked the fake news, saying:

“This post is deliberately misleading, this picture was taken 7th October 2021 during a book launch of Colonel Chukwu Obasi at Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja in which Obi Cubana attended as a guest”.

Members of the public are strongly advised to ignore the fake news and misleading imputation which has been traced to the social media account of Sabi Radio (sabiradio), which first went to town with the fake news at 1.06 pm on 5 November, 2021. Sabiradio’s watermark is telltale on the photograph.

The Commission shall not hesitate to take urgent necessary steps to address this and other fake news seeking to drag EFCC’s hard-won name and professional reputation in the mud.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state has commiserated with the families of five students who died in an auto crash along Kano-Katsina Road, leaving 13 others hospitalised, IgbereTV reports.

Ganduje, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Abba Anwar, in a statement said: “We were shocked over the death of our children, the five students who died in an auto crash on their way to Katsina state for zonal students’ meeting.

“The information was sad and tormenting, we learnt that they died around Bichi local government area. They are Abubakar Sulaiman, Tahir A. Dalhatu, Maryam Abdullahi, A’isha Wada-Abdulsalam and Usman Abubakar-Abubakar.

The first four were from Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso, while the fifth person was from the Federal College of Education, Kano,” he said.

Anwar quoted Ganduje as saying: “This is a tragedy for the state and the nation in general. They are young, dedicated and responsible youth who chose to pursue education in order to move the society forward. They left us when we need them, but our creator, their creator, the Almighty Allah needed them the most,” he said.

Ganduje prayed to the Almighty Allah for the repose of their souls and to grant the 13 others who were injured a quick recovery.
