Politics › Re: CP Told Me Criminal Suspects Are Hiding In Osun Government House: IGP To Adeleke by Jayboi(m): 12:01pm On Jul 04 |
press9jatv: The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has revealed that he received a report alleging that some criminal suspects are hiding inside the Osun State Government House.
Disu made the disclosure on Friday during a meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Government House in Osogbo. The IGP said he had received several complaints that the governor and some others were unhappy with the performance of the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan.
"I have received complaints that you are not happy, and some other people are also not satisfied with the Commissioner of Police for different reasons," Disu said.
He, however, disclosed that the police commissioner also briefed him about claims that some wanted suspects were taking refuge inside the Government House.
"He also told me that some suspects the police are looking for are hiding in the Government House. I asked myself, if that is true, why should suspects be in the Government House?" the IGP stated.
Disu said he had already advised the commissioner on the appropriate steps to take in handling the matter.
He added that reports had also reached him alleging that different political groups were harbouring criminal suspects, stressing that the allegations would be properly handled in line with the law.
The IGP did not reveal the identities of the suspects or provide further details about the allegations during the meeting. As usual, I'm sure this will make front-page cos it's APC sponsored. Thugs were killing people up and down and you would hardly see the news here but when it's the turn of Adeleke harbouring a criminal, U go amplify it. Bad journalism. Doing Ur paying masters bidding. Adeleke for second term. I just hope you will come here and congratulate the entire Osun people by then. |

Brow, even tho it's very painful just move on. Taking her to court and suing for bigamy or adultery will only add to your headache. She don get belle for another man already which is the final of the final. Just look for the best situation for your two kids. As long as she doesn't deny you seeing them, focus on them and on you too. If you don't want marriage again, look for a lady with your same mentality of marriage and move on. I don't know why we can't be doing like the whites. Their divorce rate no be here but it's all amicable. Move on, be happy, focus on development. If anything happens to you now, na you lose o. Your children will grow under another man's roof and your wife will still have more kids for him. So move on and be happy. |

That's the world we are now. Ordinarily by now, things should be grounded. Children are being held captive for days and yet nothing done. And they are still busy politicking about with unfounded figures in prep for next year election. This is so sad. When are we going to be ready for serious governance in the country? |

Education › Re: I Never Knew My Students Loved Me This Much by Jayboi(m): 8:03pm On May 24 |
wentroublecomes: Yesterday honestly humbled me deeply.
I recently informed my students (SS2) that I’ll be stepping away from my role as their Physics teacher to focus more on pursuing my career in Civil Engineering since I recently gain employment in an engineering field. Even though I’ll still create time to teach them online once in a while, I never expected the kind of emotional reaction I received from them when I announced it to them yesterday and even today.
Some of them cried. Some became unusually quiet. Some kept asking me not to leave completely.
To make sure our connection and learning continue, I created a WhatsApp tutorial group for them where I’ll still teach and guide them from time to time. Since then, the messages pouring in from these students have honestly left me speechless.
Reading their messages made me realize something: Sometimes, as teachers, we don’t truly know the impact we are making while doing the job every day.
You enter the classroom thinking you are just teaching Physics, solving calculations, explaining motion, electricity, and formulas… Not knowing some students are watching you as a mentor, role model, motivator, or even a source of hope.
I even received a handwritten letter from one of them yesterday during our weekend lesson. A handwritten letter.
I’ll post it later because it honestly touched me deeply.
For now, let me share some of the WhatsApp messages from the group that nearly got me emotional myself.
Teaching is truly one of the few professions where you can unknowingly leave permanent footprints in people’s lives. Congrats op. Same happened to me 14 yrs ago. Feeling wey no dey last. It's only a matter of time. Infact na you go dey remember them. A lot of kids these days don't remember shit again. Despite being young. That's why I'm more happy for you continuing your career as a civil engineer. Your own personal growth matters a lot. The kids will find their way. |

Adeleke will say anything so that he can win the election. If he denies Tinubu, Tinubu will deploy the mighty federal during the election just to prove a point so I won't blame Adeleke for supporting him now. But as for me, after my dancing governor wins, I will never vote Tinubu. It's obi for me just like a few of us did in the last election in Osun. I know this time around, there will be more votes for him. I don't want anything called APC in Osun. Na devil's party |

1. The record kept about the actual number isn't clear. Definitely not up to that quoted number. 2. Most were taken to become servants and worked either in shops or at home. 3. Unlike in the west where slaves were encouraged to marry themselves and multiply so that they can have more work force in the farms, male slaves in the Arabian world were often castrated and called Eunuchs to guard their women and so many died during the process either through the pain or infection. This killed any hope of population of the blacks in the Arab world. Also, The children of female blacks usually grew up as part of the local society (Arabized). So the numbers of blacks naturally got diluted. |
