Gtb is not the custodian, it is written on the screenshot. Custodian is citi bank. These are just temporary account numbers generated to fund your account like paystack. It is just like u are funding your wallet, your fund manager will now transfer your funds to custodian bank.

This account number is temporary & are randomly generated. If u want to deposit again, another one will be generated. This your own will expire by 1pm, ensure u deposit before then.

Please for those using Cardinalstone and First Ally which of the MMF do you want think is better? My better is not necessarily higher rate. My better is ease of navigating the website and app, ease of redemption of proceed when required, easy of depositing funds and good customer service.

No fund manager beat First ally when it comes to ease of operation & payments. For me they are the best. Everything about the app is fast.

Me I for suggest u put the 200k in cardinal balanced fund. From the screenshot a member posted above, it is almost at par with equity & far more profitable than mmf. Let it not be all are in equity since u are already in afrinvest equity & also proposing to join zrosk equity soonest, it is also good to spread tents. It is just a suggestion oh

I never knew balanced fund could earn this much. Or is it for only cardinal stone? I use to view balanced fund like mmf, but this return I'm seeing here of 2.28% is almost at par with equity.

Banks are so much used to short changing customers. They act like cartels & it is not limited to Nigeria alone, but a global thing. This is the same thing causing issues between banks & cryptto companies globally, they want cryptto companies to remove high yield on stable coins instead of they the banks to work hard to upgrade their rate. They make more money on customers fund than cryptto companies, but their greed is very high. I'm very sure they have started blackmailing trustbanc & if care is not taken we may hear SEC withdrawing their license soon or they will be compelled to drop their rate. Trustbanc is likely to drop rate after the meeting on 24th.

What now happens when trustbanc interest drops? You move it back again? Best is to just split your funds. Forget like 70% in stanbic no matter the rate, then put 30% in cowrywise to use and shop around for best mmf.

No matter how low stanbic mmf drops, it will still be better than regular savings account.

To say the fact, I will choose CS Alpha; I am only using HYIS premium for emergency and family drama. If you are looking for growth, try the fixed income fund. I have really tested it out; it will grow your capital, and you also get hidden benefits from it. I'm currently making around 6k+daily with the HYIS with 10m capital. Now imagine 200k is giving me 900+ and 2000+ daily with CS alpha; what will 10m do? Finally, it depends on your risk appetite.

How long does it usually take for cs alpha fund to reflect in portfolio after purchase.

For actual halal equity funds, stanbic Imaan fund closed with 84% ytd in 2025 and outperformed almost all the regular equity funds. I think only Halo equity fund beat it. Of course, past performance isn't a guarantee of future performance but they're doing well now.

I don't think the 84% represent the entire year, probably just a short term period with high volatility & that doesn't mean halal equity outperformed the regular equity fund.

No other mmf would have yielded 100k on 5m capital for a month. To yield such amount would mean consistent 24% interest rate on capital.

I do not think clarity act will erase volatility from the cryptto market. Volatility is part of cryptto & I think that is how it makes people rich. Bitcoinn has outperformed every other asset class since it came into existence & I think it volatile nature is part of the reason it is able to achieve this.

Yes, I invested last week & I'm already seeing reasonable profit on my capital as compared to mmf. Though I have not experienced the down part, so we should bear that in mind when investing in equity. There may also be negative days.

Between cs alpha fund & first ally 5m minimum premium, which has performed best so far from your observation. I'm considering focusing on one, instead of spreading funds. Thanks for creating this thread, it has really encourage a lot of us to consider other mutual fund options. It was all about mmf in the other mutual fund thread.
