In other words, drink but don't get drunk. Meanwhile all Muslims have tasted alcohol because it is used to prepare blood tonic, cough syrup, many medicines, cakes and some fries (used as preservatives). Say hello to the good side of alcohol... Salam. |

At some point, I had to do damage control because the aim ab-initoo wasn't to fight or quarrel but ask some pertinent questions. |

Earlier in the day, I had read an article by Femi Fani Kayode titled, "Oceans of Blood and the Power of Truth". In his usual no-holds barred style FFK exrayed some salient national issues pertaining the Nigerian state and the Fulani herdsmen saga. I went on Twitter to see a rebuttal by one of my favourite columnists, Hannatu Musawa. Her response to FFK article was that of condemnation and then she ended it with a prayer to which some followers said "Ameen". I decided to ask her a few questions and then instead of answering me, she blocked me. *sad face* ![]() See tweets below. |
These are the same bunch of nitwits that called GEJ clueless. 6months into APC tenure and their only achievement is criticism of GEJ. No policy directions, now cabinet, no achievements whatsoever. Baba Go Slow and APC is a scam... |
SeverusSnape:Severus calm down. Your outbursts is not helping matters... |
abduljabbar4:You know someone has nothing meaningful to contribute to an interesting conversation when he resorts to insults instead of superior arguments. Abdul jabbar, change thy ways. When people say Muslims are hateful and intolerant of others, try to prove them wrong... |
madridguy:Oga Madrid, are you saying the over 3000 people that died on 9/11 died "fake deaths". Are you saying the planes were never hijacked and the world Trade Center was not hit and collapsed? I can see you are allowing emotions becloud your sense of reasoning... Please give us the facts and stop spewing propaganda on this forum. Salam. |
Islam and illiteracy is like fire and gunpowder. It has the capacity to destroy more than imagined when combined unfortunately. Why am I not surprised at Northern Nigeria's present calamities? To make matters worse, greed, laziness and born-to-rule mentality when added to the above give the complete picture. Nigeria can be great when it decides to break free from the North's undue bad influence... |

NTA, the station that represents everything wrong with Nigeria. No professionalism, just commitment to obsolete ways of doing things. |
Allahu akbar! ![]() Quote me anywhere... |
Misguided Africans blowing themselves up for an Arab god... Only to be blamed for the stampedes and subsequent deaths in Mecca. Fools who just died for nothing... |
Quran = Manual of terror. If you are in doubt, remember that in every 8th verse of this poisonous book talks about 1. Killing the unbelievers/infidels 2. Allah's hatred (never love) for non-Muslims 3. Not being friends with non-Muslims 4. How Islam will one day dominate the earth etc etc. They say Islam is peace yet the rich Arab nations of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain etc refused to help the Syrian refugees (their brothers), but rather prefers they seek for help from "infidels" nations of Europe... Hypocrisy at its peak. Islam is not a religion but a cult whose quest is to capture the world and destroy everything that stands in its way. |
SeverusSnape:Oga Severus, don't be blinded by bigotry to think that all herdsmen of the North are Fulani. This long protected war is more that the eyes can see. This BH agents of death will stop at nothing to cripple our collective existence as a nation. |
babs01:Talk is cheap. If you were at Jamaraat, and the stampede started, you would have tried to escape for your dear life. Stop pretending. |
As Nairaland converted Muslim, the recent events in the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia in which over 700 Muslima on hajj perished have brought questions to my mind. 1. Where the deaths avoidable or an act of Allah (SWT). If they were avoidable, why did the Saudis authorities not take the necessary actions to avoid it, why turn around and blame African pilgrims (Africa has the highest number of Muslims in all 6 continents). If it is the will of Allah, why will He want to kill his true servants and bring sorrow to their families? 2. "Stoning the Devil" is part of the Hajj, yes. Is the devil a physical being or a spiritual one? If spiritual, can he be hit and injured by physical stones? 3. They say dying in the Holy Land is a sure way to enter Aljanah Firdaus. Does it mean what if Bukola Saraki (who was found to have cheated as governor in 2003) died in Makkah, he would enter Paradise straight? 4. If the people that died are going straight to Paradise, why was there frantic attempt to save the injured from dying? If earth more pleasurable that Aljanah Firdaus? And why where the people on Hajj stampeding each other to escape death. 5. This is not the first time faithful Muslims will die in Makkah. Why hasn't much been done to stop future occurrences? I seriously need answers to these. Please help a brother's confusion. Last bullet: in 1996, one of the sons of the former Sultan of Sokoto died in plane crash and, the Sultan said "it was the will of Almighty Allah", a few years later, the same Sultan died in another plane crash. How does one explain this Islamically? |
LagosShia:I don't like it when Muslims are asked to discuss or share the the basis of their faith and they make a long intro by attacking Christianity. This is why students fail JAMB. You don't grow relevant by pulling down others. #MyTwoKobo |
ISIS, Boko Haram, al-shabab, al-Qaeda etc are the true face of Islam! Those of you Muslims ranting on this forum are all fake, because you war manual, "the Quran" commands you to "kill the infidels" and that "none is permitted to be worshiped but Allah". You should be on the fields killing and maiming like your true brothers... And not going to schools and trying very hard to become like the very infidels you hate so much! that is worse than hypocrisy! And for those mor.ons who will come here to say Islam is Peace, and Boko Haram are not Muslims, let me remind you that today in Nigeria, it is absolutely impossible to build a church in Kano state, except in the very outskirts (Nomansland). All the churches that were built decades back in Kano have been burnt down to ashes... Long long before Boko Haram came.! Who is deceiving who? Yeye dey smell... Why should one dialogue with people whose religious obligation is to kill and destroy you? Why? |
All these resources being spent on the Boko Haram menace would have been totally unnecessary if one religion d8dnt make it its sole responsibility to teach and preach "SYSTEMATIC HATRED" for everything that is not in consonance with is medieval, archaic and barbaric tenets. Wiping out all terrorists on earth will not stop terrorism; what will is making it part of our faiths to have "tolerance for others". Kudos to the Nigerian Army for a job well done. Justice needs to be served some Virgin seeking criminals ice cold. And for those that wanna come here and say, "our religion is peace", please look for someone else to tell your numerous lies. Peace has one meaning, and that meaning is not ISIS, Boko Haram, al-shabab, al-Qaeda, etc. Salam. |
Excellent writeup. However, I take reservations to the name "Mafia". That name and "Church" should not be used in the same sentence. Thanks. |
While some brainwashed mo.rons in Iraq, Syria and Pakistan are busy blowing their brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers up due to an archaic set of "moral" codes laid down by one caravan robber, paedo.phile and mass murderer called Mohammed. I often ask, what have the Mohammedians contributed to mankind except exporting terrorism to Somalia, Northern Nigeria, Afghanistan etc... Smh for deluded fellows and all the rich people who sponsor them! |
The family wants the public and media to respect their feelings in this "trying times" I say, arrant nonsense! Did she respect the collective destiny of millions of impoverished Nigerians when she used billions to service her luxury lifestyle of using private jets and flying around the world? Selfish dolt. In the words of PYO, "we need to begin to see the connection between corruption of public officials and poverty in the streets" I wish her speedy recover cos she must not die "unprobed". |

that is worse than hypocrisy!
