Hello, hope this is not too late.

1) I drive a sedan, I realize that winter tires are really helpful, I have never been stuck in snow. If I am grounded, that means the whole city is shut down because of significant amount of snow. Some people say if you have an AWD, winter tires may not be necessary - I have no experience with AWDs.
It is annoying to switch tires every Oct/Nov and May (May long weekend is usually when I switch out the winter tires). Costco offers one of the best price around especially if you bought both sets of tire from them.
There are adverts for this service on Facebook marketplace, caveat emptor.

2) Speaking of fb market place, you can set a reminder for the type(s) of car you want - immediately it is posted, you are alerted to go check it out. It is a competitive market for good deals. I have good experience buying a vehicle there - private seller, wanted their cash and it was a Sunday. Ensure your car inspector is ready at short notice. Also, ensure your account is well funded. You may have to make transfer via your online banking (especially on a weekend when bank branches are not open). Private sellers may need the money immediately and not want to wait.
Some one mentioned sourcing your carfax report yourself - this is very good quality advice. Look through the report and ensure that it is well serviced, high or low mileage is neither here nor there, it is the every 5k miles/6- months servicing that matters especially for makers like Toyota.

So for the spousal sponsorship, the PR application portal seems the same, do the sponsor and the principal applicant(sponsored) both apply on the portal separately? Or it's just one application created by the principal applicant?

Take new photos and send by courier to the address given, don't forget to include the IRCC letter requesting updated photos in the same envelope as photos.

Hello guys, so I did a soft landing a while ago and then travelled back to Nigeria, while in Nigeria IRCC sent a message that I need to resubmit new photos for the PR card as my old one didn't meet the requirements(took it at studio 24)

Have 180 days from landing to submit the photos physically by mail. Also, the requirements state that they need to be stamped or signed by the photo studio with date taken. But as I am in Nigeria how can I go about this?

Are there any groups for Nigerians where they give out job referrals. Ontario, Alberta or Remote Roles etc. New PR here

Says it's still under process at the Canada Visa Office. People who got counterfoil notifications after me have received their passports from the same VAC. Went to VFS lagos and they said it's still at the embassy? The matter don dey tire me

**Unexpected event. Received an email update on 11th July and rushed to gckey hoping to see counterfoil; lo and behold, it was an ADR for passport photographs. Apparently my photos got missing somewhere between vfs and ircc (up till now I still don't understand how this happened). Contacted vfs to find out how my photos got missing and what i should do next; they provided zero explanations and the CS rep I spoke with said they don't accept any submission(s) apart from international passports. I was so confused and perplexed at this point. I searched and searched online hoping to see info from anyone who had experienced something similar; thankfully i found a nairaland post of someone who went through the exact same thing last year. Long story short, I sent my photos directly to High Commission of Canada via DHL on 27th July and package was delivered 31st July.**

The devil tried but God prevailed as always. To anyone else who's going through challenges/difficulties in this journey, just surrender all to God (and please do your due diligence too). This PR journey has been known to offer unlimited subscription of sleepless nights lol; you just never know what to expect! But once you involve God in your matter and let Him lead, you can be sure it will always end in praise! To God be the glory for everything!

Please did your passport submission go to Ghana?

Gotten Counterfoil since the 11th of August but no passport or further update since then.

Why does Ghana VFS take so long to process passport stamping. A friend that submitted to Kenya VFS 3 days after I submitted mine has received counterfoil and awaiting the passport collection.

Submitted mine since 27th of June, gotten counterfoil but no passport.

Most of the people I know that submitted even in October, got PPRs in January and February. You may want to order GCMS notes to see if there are any anomalies in your application.

Going by the current timeline trends, yours is aready taking too long.

Please who knows a school one could do a masters in something tech related. Although background is in civil engineering and practising atm one has tech experience on the side. School fees shouldn't be more than $25-30k for total duration. Already have some experience as a product manager and some IT certifications. Also, what's the minimum funding to have in the account when applying for a visa? Would really appreciate some help
