Tambuwal replaces Dickson as PDP governors’ forum chairman

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal has been elected chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors forum.


The choice of Mr Tambuwal was made at the 88th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the PDP on Monday, according to a statement by Mohammad Bello, the governor’s special adviser.

He replaces Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State whose tenure elapses in February.

Accepting the “onerous responsibility”, Mr Tambuwal pledged to run an inclusive administration and to move the party forward.

Mr Tambuwal was reelected for a second term in March 2019.


He was first elected in 2015 on the platform of the ruling APC where he had defected to in 2014 as Speaker of the House of Representatives. He was originally a member of the PDP.

He ran for the presidential ticket of the PDP, coming second behind Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President, who clinched the ticket.

The PDP later offered him a return ticket for the state governorship election which his deputy had already won.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos Command, on Monday, paraded eight men, allegedly involved in selling the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms above its official price of N4,700 per copy.

The Lagos State Commandant, Mr. Cyprian Otoibhi, who paraded the suspects in Lagos, said that they were arrested during a joint operation with officials of JAMB.

According to Otoibhi, the suspects were selling each JAMB form for between N6,500 and N8,000.

Otoibhi gave the names of the suspects as Bamiro Oluwaseun, Subair Adewale, Oshikoya Segun, Victor Faith, Olayinka Oluwashina.

“Others are Elvis Okarafor, Igwoku Luckson, and Ajetumobi Olufemi”

He said that the suspects were operating their cyber cafes in the Ikotun area of the state.

He said that the suspects were charging the unsuspecting candidates above the official N4,700 stipulated by JAMB.

“A thorough investigation by the Lagos Command of NSCDC revealed that the cyber cafes being operated by the suspects were not on the list of centres accredited by JAMB to sell its forms,’’ he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) also reports that JAMB licensed only 71 centers to sell its forms in Lagos State.

The commandant said the NSCDC officials went as under covers and disguised as prospective applicants to the cyber cafes.

“The under covers discovered that the suspects were exploiting the innocent and young Nigerians that wanted brilliant education through the country’s tertiary institutions.

“As a matter of fact, more cyber cafes involved in the wicked acts will be discovered and will be made to face the wrath of law.”

Prophet Nigel asserted that without the 10% offer, there was no way he could bring the man and his daughter back to life because that was the instruction from the Almighty God Himself.

“The man is worth 500 million dollars and should the family agree to give 10% of his income to me, I will bring them back to life. Thus sayeth the Lord! Without the money, I cannot bring him and the little girl back.”

Prophet Nigel Giasie after making these declarations asked his congregation to pray in tongues and thank the Lord for wanting to use him and their church for such a great miracle.

He went on to admonish the congregation to make sure the message reaches the American consulate in Ghana, the family of the late Kobe Bryant, and also warned his congregants not to doubt the words of Almighty Jehovah or else face some serious repercussions.

Hello everyone,

Initially posted that I'll be giving 10k to 10people this xmas but I think I have to shift grounds. Cos I see that 95% of people on this thread just want to GH and some are even coming up with cooked stories, so it's hard to decide.

According to my thought, no matter the amount given to you, you'll finish spending it and if care is not taken, you'll still come back here next year to seek help.

So in that stead, I have decided to help some set of people (interested ones) with what I do. I will be creating blogs for 10 people (I'll help you with everything) and I'll also be creating Fiverr accounts for 10 people (You might have to google what that means).

These are opportunities worth more than money and are bound to give you financial freedom in later days so you can help others, instead of asking for help.

So, this is for extremely serious and not lazy people. If you are really ready to get out of being broke, this might be a good chance. As at this time last year, I couldn't give 10K to 10 people.

I will update on this later, just follow up.
