Anti-drug activists think that a few puffs on a joint will turn you into a red-eyed, unemployed psychopath – probably for life. But is marijuana actually that bad for you? With several American states having decriminalised the herb for personal use, scientists have suddenly had the chance to see what cannabis actually does on a mass scale. And guess what? Cannabis actually has some VERY surprising health benefits. Here’s a few. MORE: It turns out weed might be a performance enhancing drug 1) Smoking weed makes you thinner – or at least less likely to be obese You might not think it after you’ve watched a munchie-struck stoner devour an entire KFC family bucket in one go, but dope smokers are less likely to be obese. A study in the journal Obesity found that regular weed smokers are less likely to be obese than non-smokers. The researchers from Conference of Quebec University Health Centers looked at 700 adults aged 18-74 – and found that cannabis users tend to have low body mass index scores (often taken as a sign of good health). People with low BMIs tend to have less body fats and tend to be at lower risk for diabetes. 2) Marijuana can actually improve lung function Smoking weed isn’t actually that bad for your lungs, and smokers actually have improved lung function when compared to both cigarette smokers – and people who have never smoked either. The researchers, writing in the Journal of the American Medical Association, say that the big drags taken by weed smokers may actually ‘train’ lungs to be more efficient. 3) It can increase creativity A 2012 study in Consciousness and Cognition found that marijuana made people more creative – at least in terms of how well they used language. The researchers said, ‘We investigated the effects of cannabis smoked naturalistically on schizotypy and divergent thinking, a measure of creativity. ‘One hundred and sixty cannabis users were tested on 1 day when sober and another day when intoxicated with cannabis. ‘Cannabis increased verbal fluency in low creatives to the same level as that of high creatives.’ 4) Weed can help athletes perform better Gordy Megroz of Outside conducted his own study after noting the number of athletes who credit marijuana use for increased performance and recovery. And however unscientific you deem his little self-experiment to be, he found that he performed better on the treadmill and was less sore after a heavy squat session. ‘I do a heavy squat session while high, which would normally leave me sore for two days, but I’m surprisingly fresh 24 hours later,’ he wrote. ‘Even when not stoned, other aches and pains seem to dissipate, too. ‘Studies have shown that the drug has an anti-inflammatory effect, which is one reason why medical marijuana is so prevalent.’ Because of marijuana’s illegality in most places, hard research is still hard to come by. 5) Cannabis can kill cancer cells In what could be a key moment for advocates of legal cannabis, the U.S. government has admitted that the drug can shrink cancer cells. In a page of official government advice, the U.S. government now says,, ‘Cannabis has been shown to kill cancer cells in the laboratory.’ The site says that the effect has so far been seen in rodent studies, and cautions, ‘At this time, there is not enough evidence to recommend that patients inhale or ingest Cannabis as a treatment for cancer-related symptoms or side effects of cancer therapy.’ Cancer Research UK warns patients that so far, there is no evidence that cannabis extracts can be used as a treatment. 6) It’s a far safer alternative to alcohol – in fact, it’s 114 times safer Cannabis could actually be the safest drug available, after a study found it is actually 114 times less deadly than alcohol, according to the journal, Scientific Reports. The reports‘ authors studied the effects of alcohol, heroin, cocaine, tobacco, ecstasy, crystal meth and cannabis. 7) Smoking weed can help you give up heroin Smoking weed helps patients give up opiates such as heroin, a new study has found. Researchers at Columbia University monitored patients undergoing treatment for opiate addiction – and found that patients who smoked weed were more able to sleep, less anxious, and more likely to complete their course. The researchers also found that dosing patients with dronabinol – a drug consisting of the ‘active’ ingredient in cannabis, THC – helped with withdrawal symptoms. High Times also points out that opiate-related deaths have dropped in American states which have legalised the recreational use of marijuana. Alcohol’s impact on your body starts from the moment you take your first sip. While an occasional glass of wine with dinner isn’t a cause for concern, the cumulative effects of drinking wine, beer, or spirits can take its toll. Read on to learn the effects of alcohol on your body. A glass a day may do little damage to your overall health. But if the habit grows or if you find yourself having a hard time stopping after just one glass, the cumulative effects can add up. Digestive and endocrine glands Drinking too much alcohol can cause abnormal activation of digestive enzymes produced by the pancreas. Buildup of these enzymes can lead to inflammation known as pancreatitis . Pancreatitis can become a long-term condition and cause serious complications . Inflammatory damage The liver is an organ which helps break down and remove harmful substances from your body, including alcohol. Long-term alcohol use interferes with this process. It also increases your risk for chronic liver inflammation and liver disease. The scarring caused by this inflammation is known as cirrhosis . The formation of scar tissue destroys the liver. As the liver becomes increasingly damaged, it has a harder time removing toxic substances from your body. Liver disease Liver disease is life-threatening and leads to toxins and waste buildup in your body. Women are at higher risk for developing alcoholic liver disease . Women’s bodies are more likely to absorb more alcohol and need longer periods of time to process it. Women also show liver damage more quickly than men. Sugar levels The pancreas helps regulate your body’s insulin use and response to glucose. When your pancreas and liver aren’t functioning properly, you run the risk of experiencing low blood sugar, or hypoglycemia . A damaged pancreas may also prevent the body from producing enough insulin to utilize sugar. This can lead to hyperglycemia , or too much sugar in the blood. If your body can’t manage and balance your blood sugar levels, you may experience greater complications and side effects related to diabetes. It’s important for people with diabetes or hypoglycemia to avoid excessive amounts of alcohol. Central nervous system One of the easiest ways to understand alcohol’s impact on your body is by understanding how it affects your central nervous system. Slurred speech is one of the first signs you’ve had too much to drink. Alcohol can reduce communication between your brain and your body. This makes coordination more difficult. You may have a hard time balancing. You should never drive after drinking. As alcohol causes more damage to your central nervous system, you may experience numbness and tingling sensations in your feet and hands. Drinking also makes it difficult for your brain to create long-term memories. It also reduces your ability to think clearly and make rational choices. Over time, frontal lobe damage can occur. This area of the brain is responsible for emotional control, short-term memory, and judgement, in addition to other vital roles. Chronic and severe alcohol abuse can also cause permanent brain damage. This can lead to Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, a brain disorder that affects memory. Dependency Some people who drink heavily may develop a physical and emotional dependency on alcohol. Alcohol withdrawal can be difficult and life-threatening. You often need professional help to break an alcohol addiction. As a result, many people seek medical detoxification to get sober. It’s the safest way to ensure you break the physical addiction. Depending on the risk for withdrawal symptoms, detoxification can be managed on either an outpatient or inpatient basis. Symptoms of alcohol withdrawal include: * anxiety * nervousness * nausea * tremors * high blood pressure * irregular heartbeat * heavy sweating Seizures, hallucinations, and delirium may occur in severe cases of withdrawal. Digestive system The connection between alcohol consumption and your digestive system might not seem immediately clear. The side effects often only appear after there has been damage. And the more you drink, the greater the damage will become. Drinking can damage the tissues in your digestive tract and prevent your intestines from digesting food and absorbing nutrients and vitamins. As a result, malnutrition may occur. Heavy drinking can also lead to: * gassiness * bloating * a feeling of fullness in your abdomen * diarrhea or painful stools For people who drink heavily, ulcers or hemorrhoids (due to dehydration and constipation) aren’t uncommon. And they may cause dangerous internal bleeding. Ulcers can be fatal if not diagnosed and treated early. People who consume too much alcohol may also be at risk for cancer. People who drink frequently are more likely to develop cancer in the mouth, throat, esophagus, colon, or liver. People who regularly drink and use tobacco together have an even greater cancer risk. Circulatory system Alcohol can affect your heart and lungs. People who are chronic drinkers of alcohol have a higher risk of heart-related issues than people who do not drink. Women who drink are more likely to develop heart disease than men who drink. Circulatory system complications include: * high blood pressure * irregular heartbeat * difficulty pumping blood through the body * stroke * heart attack * heart disease * heart failure Difficulty absorbing vitamins and minerals from food can cause anemia . This is a condition where you have a low red blood cell count. One of the biggest symptoms of anemia is fatigue. Sexual and reproductive health You may think drinking alcohol can lower your inhibitions and help you have more fun in bed. But the reality is quite different. Men who drink too much are more likely to experience erectile dysfunction. Heavy drinking can also prevent sex hormone production and lower your libido. Women who drink too much may stop menstruating. That puts them at a greater risk for infertility . Women who drink heavily during pregnancy have a higher risk of premature delivery, miscarriage, or stillbirth. Women who drink alcohol while pregnant put their unborn child at risk. Fetal alcohol syndrome disorders (FASD) is a serious concern. Other conditions include: * learning difficulties * long-term health issues * increased emotional problems * physical development abnormalities Skeletal and muscle systems Long-term alcohol use may prevent your body from keeping your bones strong. This habit may cause thinner bones and increase your risk for fractures if you fall. And factures may heal more slowly. Drinking alcohol may also lead to muscle weakness, cramping, and eventually atrophy. Immune system Drinking heavily reduces your body’s natural immune system. This makes it more difficult for your body to fight off invading germs and viruses. People who drink heavily over a long period of time are also more likely to develop pneumonia or tuberculosis than the general population. About 10 percent of all tuberculosis cases worldwide can be tied to alcohol consumption. Drinking alcohol also increases your risk for several types of cancer, including mouth, breast, and colon. |
Virginity is overrated for sure..
I'm so broke like my girlfriend's hymen ![]() |
This question tends to boil on the minds of most ladies. Most ladies tend to fall into situations where their hymens get broken without having an actual penile-vaginal intercourse.. As a result, they get confused and depressed as to what the perception of people would be towards them. I hereby urge y'all to cheer up as this information will shed some light on this situation.. We would urge you not to place too much importance on the concept of virginity or an intact hymen. Other than penile-vaginal intercourse, the hymen can tear from inserting tampons, masturbating, or participating in strenuous physical activities like gymnastics or horseback riding. Therefore, the presence of (or lack thereof) an intact hymen is an extremely unreliable indicator of virginity. Females also feel differing levels of pain when (or if) their hymens tear. Some females bleed and feel considerable pain; other females may not even notice when their hymens tear because they do not bleed or feel any pain. Please know, whether your hymen is broken or not, that it is up to YOU (and no one else) to decide if you are or are not a virgin. Many cultures attribute a heavy amount of significance to the hymen as a determinant of virginity, but this significance is socially and culturally constructed. The hymen is a tiny layer of skin that exists to serve a specific biological purpose: to protect the vaginal opening (introitus) and the area around the opening during a female’s developing years. Any other relevance symbolically attached to the hymen over the course of mankind are purely conceptual and culturally produced. Some cultures have traditionally assessed the state of a female’s hymen to determine her “worth” in terms of marriageability, because virginity (and a supposed intact hymen) has become synonymous with purity and fidelity. These misleading myths about the intact hymen fail to recognize that many females who have never engaged in sexual intercourse do not have intact hymens. Similarly, sexually active females may still have intact hymens, possibly because their hymens are elastic enough to avoid tearing during sex or because they do not practice penile-vaginal intercourse. Some religions have ceremonies in which a female is able to reclaim her virginity, so if you are affiliated with a religious institution of any kind, you may be interested in pursuing this option. If this option is not available to you, hymen reconstruction surgery (Hymenoplasty) does exist, but we do not recommend that you pursue it as a solution without fully assessing your situation. You may choose to undergo hymen reconstruction if you feel that it is something you truly want for yourself, but please do not feel like you need to have surgery to be worthwhile or valuable as a female. The condition of your hymen or your status as a virgin/non-virgin does not define who you are as a person. Virginity is a personal decision, not a physical assessment of one’s body. |
Transfer of player from one team to other create several complication due to involvement of Agent and contract agreement now a days. I will write what I read on sports site or some other sources. We can not give you perfect detail about this. I will talk about only professional player. How Transfer works? Now a days most player do have agent to represent them. So suppose one team want to buy that player, first they need to talk to player's agent then agent will discuss with his player about the offer. Player can be signed only when transfer windows open. For most European leagues summer transfer windows open from 1st of July to 31st of August and winter transfer windows from 1st of January to 31st of January. This rule is not mandatory for free agent. Why do players need agent? If your perform regularly at high level, you will get attention from big team. These team want you to play for them. They will give you pay rise, bonus and other benefits. But if you get attention from many teams, talking to them takes lot of time, and your too much attention on these can affect your play. If you are a good player, you not only attract big club but you also attract marketing company. They want you to advertise their product and they will give you the big Pay Cheque. Discussion of contract with these company is not only tiresome but also it will distract you from football. That's why players hire agent to deal with these situation and they only play football and do what their agent says. Players agent get paid for that by doing this job. Actual Transfer? Suppose a player play for club A and he performed significantly well for them. He will get attention from many big club. They want him to play for their club. Suppose that club is B. They will contact his agent and his current club A . Player's agent will inform his player of this offer. Then player will say yes or no. If no then agent and A will tell that club no otherwise agent will discuss with A and they will decide they want to sell this player or not. Now B will negotiate the transfer fee with A and player's agent. Not only that players agent will discuss the basic salary, performance bonus, release clause, match playing bonus, image rights etc. After long negotiation with the players agent, player will terminate his contract at club A and will sign new contract at B. Agent will get his fees(Transfer fees of player) from club A whatever they agreed upon . Release clause? During the contract negotiation with the club, either club or player want that in his agreement, there should be a release clause of fixed amount(which may change yearly wise) such that if some other club want to get this player and player's current club do not want him to go, either player activate his own clause by paying that amount and becomes free agent or other team pays that much amount. If club still refuses to sell him, other club can sue player's current club. For example, Arsenal activated Suarez clause in 2013 by paying 40 million pound + 1 pound. Liverpool refuses to sell and Arsenal could have sue Liverpool for that. Image rights? This is most controversial part in player transfer. If you are signing player like Messi, C. Ronaldo or Neymar, they are not only world class player but also most marketable athlete. They bring you sponsors, will increase your shirt sell or other merchandise item. You will use them as front face in your app, your video or in your site. You can use them as front face during team kit release. It is good in financial terms for club. These are all comes in image right. When player sign contract, in that contract there is clear mention of players image rights. It may be 100 % or 90 % or 70 % or 30 % or may be 0%. Club want maximum image rights of the player. This is the stumbling block of transfer and very controversial. Sometimes player do not extend their contract because either they are not happy with the salary offered or mostly because of image rights. In 2006 as part of his negotiations with the Spanish football club Real Madrid David Beckham demanded that they relinquish their 50% share of his image rights, thus giving him 100% of all proceeds from the commercial exploitation of his image. Real Madrid refused, leading to David Beckham leaving the said club. He later signed a five year contract worth £128 million with the US club LA Galaxy which also included full control of his personal image rights. The case of David Beckham is significant in that he is now able to control how and when his image is used especially in endorsements and sponsorship deals. Co-ownership deal? Co-ownership is a system whereby two football clubs own the contract of a player jointly, although the player is only registered to play for one club. It is not a universal system, but is used in some countries, including Italy, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. This type of deal differs from third-party ownership, in that in the latter, the player's contract is owned by a non-footballing entity, such as a management company. For example, The co-ownership of Alessio Cerci by Torino and Fiorentina proved fruitful for Cerci and Torino, who had paid €2.5m for the first 50%, and picked up the remainder of his contract after a successful year for just € 3.8 m. Buy Back clause ? B ig team insert buy back clause during selling their player. So if in future players performance level increase drastically they can buy him at that fees which is written on buy back clause. This fee increases year by year relatively. For example, Bojan(Bacelona) has 13 million euro buyback clause when sold to Roma in 2011. Profit on Selling? Some times club before selling their player insert a clause such that if his new team in future thought of selling him to another club, they will get some percentage of transfer fees. For example, recently Garay(Argentina)has been sold to Zenit from Benfica for around €15 million . The reported fee of €6 million is only Benfica's cut of the total transfer fee. The remainder will go to Real Madrid (who own 50 percent of his rights) and a third party. Loan deal? Not only player can get permanent transfer to some club but can also play for some club for temporary period. A loan involves a particular player being allowed to temporarily play for a club other than the one he is currently contracted to. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to all season-long and can also be for a few seasons Typical loan deal involves loan fees which can vary from 0 to two digit million pound. Player wages(salary) will either payed fully by team who loaned him or his owner team or can be divided between the two. Club send their youth player on loan to some team in same league or in other to get more playing time so they do get experience from them. Some times loan deal involving some clause like you can sign that player for a fee agreed between both the clubs. For example , Zlatan Ibrahimovic transferd to A C Milan in 2009 on loan from F C Barcelona. They later made it permanent buy paying the fees agreed between the two clubs. Loan fees has also some clause like player can not play against his parent team and if his current team want him to play against his parent team then they need to pay some agreed amount. For example, Courtois(Belgium) was not allowed to play against Chelsea, if Atletico want him to play they should pay around 5 million euro. But UEFA interfere in it and warn Chelsea that they will give them punishment if they did not allow Courtois to play. Free Agent/ Released player? Player who are not bounded through contract by any club is termed as free agent. So if any club want to sign him, they need not pay anything until and unless his agent demands something. Players become free agent either they released by their former team with mutual agreement before their contract expire or their contract expire. Team who are interested in these player can sign them before the 6 month of their contract length. So suppose a player contract was going to expire in jun 2014 they can be signed in January transfer windows or just before it. Free agents do not have to be signed during the normal transfer window that is implemented in some countries' leagues. If a player is released from their club when the transfer window is closed, they cannot sign for another team until the window reopens. A notable case of this being Sol Campbell who in September 2009 was released from Notts County, just after a month from signing on a free transfer. He signed for his former club Arsenal in January 2010, after spending a few months training with the team to maintain his fitness I did my best to write all types of transfer. Transfer is big thing in football. It involves several controversies. Sometimes deal goes down due to involvement of third party. Sometimes player and club do not agree on contract agreement either over player bonus demand or club want to retain their most image rights. Sometimes agent mistake knowingly or unknowingly create problem for player. Current situation of Messi in tax case. His father and his former agent was handling all his financial decision. To know exactly what happen in football transfer you need to ask managers in big league, or club owners or football agents. |

Overview Rolltop is a portable computer development concept for designer, architect and everyone, who would like to have a gadget, which, from an aesthetic standpoint alone, certainly hits the mark. By virtue of the OLED-Display technology and a multitouchscreen the utility of a laptop computer with its weight of a mini-notebook and screen size of 13 inch easily transforms into the graphics tablet, which with its 17-inch flat screen can be also used as a primary monitor due to the support attached to the back of the screen. Rolltop 2.0 is a further development of Rolltop with some visible and mostly invisible improvements (e.g. internal design, placement of certain components etc.) Proposition Rolltop is not a "virtual and futuristic" gadget, existing only on the screen of your computer as in the most of similar concepts and visions! Most of the existing design concepts usually have been developed without any deep technologic and ergonomic elaboration and often could be difficult or even impossible realized. From the beginning Rolltop has been developed as a real future product. During its development a lot of different scenarios (e.g. usability, functionality etc.) were simulated. Moreover we have included in Rolltop the best worldwide ergonomic, mechanic and electronic practices. Technology The device of the flexible display allows a new concept in notebook design growing out of the traditional "bookformed" laptop into unfurling and convolving portable computer. Rolltop incorporates both latest high-tech devices and a new brand design techniques into a computer that will increase the quality and productivity of the designers work. On top of everything else no laptop bag needed - all computer utilities from an interactive pen through power supply to the holding belt are integrated in Rolltop. This is really an all-in-one gadget
