Olayinkaji:I didn't need to do a WES evaluation. Just submitted my transcript. |
ConradAce1:Humber College, Public relations. Previous education was Bachelors-Mass Communication. I'm self sponsored. Got an introduction letter from my office stating study leave approval and resumption date. Had a 10-year study gap but I have been working right from leaving school so was able to justify that with all employment appointment letters. I believe I also had a very detailed letter of explanation too. For everything I stated in the LOE, I had documents as proof including picture evidence where necessary. At the end, no application is perfect. Pray for grace! It will end in praise for you and everyone still expecting an approval. |
I got my passport back today. It’s exactly a month since I submitted it to Lagos VFS. So happy to be free from those guys. ![]() |
Olayinkaji:You are given a deadline to pay your fees depending on your start date. If you can't pay before the deadline, it's safe to request for a deferral. You are eligible for a full refund if you let Humber College know by the tenth day of classes, that you will not be attending school. You must also show proof of study permit refusal if that is your reason. |
I have really disturbed these VFS Lagos guys ooo.. just called today and immediately I said hello, the lady just called my full name and said what is it this time? Both of us started laughing. Chai ![]() |
KRTL:You don’t need an agent. You can apply directly to the school as an international student. I’m also going to Humber. Simply go to the school’s website, click on programs. On your selected program page, click on “HOW TO APPLY”. There’s a session for international student. Click on “APPLY THROUGH THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE” This is a pretty easy and direct process you can handle yourself. Go through the program requirement and upload the necessary documents you need. All the best! |
Dora14:It defers for every school. Your school should have it on their student portal where you can download it as a file. If not, you can mail the school to request it provided you’ve paid at least a semester fee. I downloaded mine from my student account page. |
Akannitommy:Yes, that's my only stop on KLM. Thanks Akanni. |
adeenzo:Thanks! Yeah, you are right, its a little more expensive than others but gives a shorter travel time on air. |
Hello house, does a Nigerian require a transit visa when having a layover of 8 hours at Amsterdam (Schiphol) airport please? I'm looking at booking my flight to Toronto with KLM. |
Dampops:Just did. Thanks! |
Can someone kindly send me the courier consent form please? I can't get through to VFS. |
KRTL:Yes they do if your reason is Covid or Study permit refusal. You can’t get a refund if your request is 10 official days after the start of classes. |
Blavkmaann:Hello, which of the VFS account numbers did you pay to please? |
Kunnmi:Oh I see. I’m a lady. I plan to arrive in the third week of December. Let me know what apartment you find. You can send me an email please. Thanks. |
Guys, it’s good to send mails ooo.. I just got final approval and counter foil after sending mail to Lagos IRCC this morning. I have never received an email from VFS ever since I submitted my passport. |
Kunnmi:Hello I’m going to Toronto. Are you a guy or a lady please? |
joyenaholo11:Keep trying that same number. The response you got “not allocated” is what it always says till it finally goes through. |
Kandybite:Nope, you don’t. As long as you’re a Nigerian and studied in Nigeria. |
badmanjo:No, I didn’t have to pay. You get an instruction on your tuition deposit when you get your letter of acceptance. I even deferred my admission from September 2020 to January 2021 without paying fees. I only paid before the winter 2021 tuition deposit deadline. |
Hello!! Anyone who will be studying at Humber College? Will like to connect. I’m hoping to travel in December after my passport is returned. |
Nyenyenwq:I can understand your frustration. I just kept trying and trying. It can be really crazy getting through to them. Sometimes, the line also cuts right after getting through to a customer rep. You will need to persistently try. Maybe calling in the morning at about 9am does the magic. I get them easily at that time. |

Dee4Doyinsola:Thanks. I called again this morning and finally got a tracking ID. Passport still at embassy. |
Hello all, this has been a very informative platform. I got my PPR on Nov 10 and sent my passport to VFS Lagos on the 11th. Up till now, I still don’t have a tracking ID. I submitted the required documents-biometric slip, PPR form, Consent forms and sent through DHL. I didn’t need to pay transmission fee as I did my biometrics in Lagos. Each time I call, they keep telling me you will get a tracking ID at the end of the day. Is anyone in this situation please? It’s getting tiring. |
